The Catholic Church has a cadre of officially sanctioned exorcists which perform many exorcisms each year. The exorcists of the Catholic Church teach that demons attack humans continually but that afflicted persons can be effectively healed and protected.

Demonic possession may last for relatively brief periods of time for any one individual. The rest of the time, the victim of demon possession may appear normal by social standards. Only when a demon is in residence will its presence be detectable in terms of the behavior of the victim. The behavior of these short-term victims of demon possession is characterized by four basic symptoms. These symptoms may appear alone or in groups, for just seconds of time, and in varying degrees of intensity. Although the demon (or demons) may never manifest itself openly by causing the victim to speak in a coarse, guttural voice or to act out in an antisocial manner, a study of the past behavior of such a person will reveal the presence of violence, lust, greed, and/or an unnatural power of persuasion.

Sam: I'm gonna kill you.
John: (possessed) Oh, that would be a neat trick. In fact, here, make the gun float to you there, psychic boy.

Meg: I swear, after everything I heard about you Winchesters, I'm a little under whelmed. First, Johnny tries to pawn off a fake gun and then he leaves the real gun with you two chuckleheads. Lackluster, man. I mean, did you really think I wouldn't find you?
Dean: Actually, we were counting on it.

Sam: And these, uh, these protective circles, they really work?
Bobby: Hell yeah, you get a demon in one, they're trapped, powerless. It's like a satanic roach motel.

Dean: You know that guy I shot? There was a person in there.
Sam: You didn't have a choice, Dean.
Dean: Yeah, I know, that's not what bothers me.
Sam: Then what does?
Dean: Killing that guy, killing Meg - I didn't hesitate, I didn't even flinch. For you or Dad, the things I'm willing to do or kill, it scares me sometimes.

John: (possessed) What? You are the only one who can have a family? You destroyed my children. How would you feel if I have killed your family? Oh...that's right, I forgot, I did. Still, two wrongs don't make a right.

John: I'm surprised at you, Sammy. Why didn't you kill it. I thought we saw eye to eye on this--killing this demon comes first, before me, before everything.
Sam: No, sir, not before everything.

John: (possessed)Sam, he's clearly John's favorite. Even when they fight, its more concern than he's ever showin' you.
Dean: Yeah, I bet you're real proud of your kids, too. Huh? Oh wait, I forgot, I wasted them!

Bobby: You think you guys invented lying to the cops. I’ll figure something out.

Meg: You know, if you wanted to tie me up, all you had to do was ask.

Meg: You son of a b***h, you promised!
Dean: I lied!

Dean: Where's our father, Meg?
Meg: You didn't ask very nice.
Dean: Where's our father, b***h?

Dean: What's happening? Is there a fire?

Dean: Well, I got a yorkie upstairs and he pees when he's nervous.

Dean: No, you're gonna burn in Hell, unless you tell us where our dad is. (no response) Well at least you'll get a nice tan.

AAAAWWWWW!!!! I KNOW!!!! I had my heart caught in my throat.. I was just like..... NEEEEEEAAAAAAOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! DAMN YOU Demon!John!!!!!!! I HATE YOOOOOOOOOOOOU!!!!!!! *cries*...

and then when Dean was on the floor... and Sam was gonna shoot their dad.... and Dean's all like 'noo!!!! no!!' AAAAAAAHHHH!! *re-lives the moment*...

Yah... *cries along with you* I still dont get how John was able to get the demon to stop.... that demon's supposed to be mega powerful.... and sam couldn't stop from trying to shoot dean during asylum...... bah! it boggles the mind!

Huh? The demon was worried about who? Sam??? or John... *arches eyebrow*

......... No..... I'm too busy gazing into the beautiful JDM eyes...

Yes yes... I know the demon was worried about John... he was quite the formidable hunter... and he thought that with John out of the picture, his boys wouldn't be a matter worth pursuing.... but he was wrong! WRONG!!!!
