I just thought this was worth pointing out. In FFI, there are four warriors - aka, the Warriors of Light. Now, it depends on which version you're looking at, but they hold 4 crystals (sometimes known as "treasures" or "orbs" that are supposed to save the world, blah blah blah... There is a yellow one, a green one, a red one, and a blue one, each corresponding to an element. At the begining of the game, you have a choice of 6 charecter classes for each of your four warriors - warrior, thief, black mage, white mage, monk, and red mage. Traditionally, most people go with the pattern of:
DEFAULT:
Charecter 1: Warrior Charecter 2: Thief Charecter 3: White Mage Charecter 4: Black Mage
I usually actually have the Thief as my first Charecter, and the Warrior as my second. In any case, the pattern of which they hold the crystals, despite what charecter they are is:
CH1: Blue CH2: Red CH3: Green CH4: Yellow
I think it's worth noteing here, that when you chose your charecter class, you are litterally chossing you charecter as well. The White Mage class is considered female, while the others male, possibly because of consept art... I'm not actually sure why.
Now, this is something that's showed up a lot throughout the Final Fantasy series... But just think about it for a minute. Hmm... Do we know a group of four people, one girl, two decent fighters and two who tend towards the more intellectual...? Four crystals. Hayner. Roxas. Olette. And Pence. It doesn't really have any real impact on the story, so far as I can tell, but... It is rather interesting to point out.
Again... Just something to think about.

A little, but not a whole lot. I have the GBA version, so I've played it and kind of just... picked this stuff up. *shrugs* Pence and Olette would make such cute mages though, wouldn't they? smile

That's not completley true. One of normal 4 person party in FF1, is Warrior, Warrior, Black Mage, Red Mage, or Warrior x 3, White Mage, or Red Mage, Red Mage, Warrior, White Mage. Traditionally in the original release of FF1, no one really took Thief's at the beginning since they were such a crappy class. They were vastly underpowered, and weak until they became Ninja. But other than that, I always connected the four of them with the Power Rangers.
Edit:What I'm saying is that when FF1 was originally released on the Famicom, the theif class sucked, and it wasn't a normal starting off class. More people used monks =P They reworked it, along with a lot of the game in Dawn of Souls.

Aa? That's interesting. I didn't know that. *nods* But me, personally... I've always been a Thief-class nut. Not entirely sure why... That and Red Mages. So FFIX made me really happy. ^^"

Thanks. I really like your Demyx sig, by the way...
Anyway, I don't think this has any real bearing on anything - but, it is an interesting thing to ponder.
