The Last Unicorn  Hi and welcome to my quest thread for Incantation of the Spirit. I love these pets and my idea came to me the second I saw the thread. Please feel free to post and give me your thoughts and ideas about my quest.
NEWS: I know that I was very very inactive in my quest for Palila. That was probably why I slowly started to drift away from her. But I plan to be extremely dedicated to this quest thread now and mostly to Amalthea.

Days became weeks, weeks became months, and months became years. Still Amalthea's mother did not return. By herself, Amalthea was still too young and weak to care for the forest. Without the protection of her mother, the forest began to writher, the animals die. One day men came to scope out the forest for a community. One of the men, the head of the operation, brought his daughter along with him. Hearing that he was going to look out a forest, she bugged him until he let her come along.
These were the first humans that Amalthea had ever seen. She may be young, but Amalthea knew staying a unicorn would cause her trouble. Concentrating all of her heart and energy together, she slowly transformed from a unicorn to a little child. But before she could completely change, Amalthea collasped onto the forest floor.
During her exploration of the forest, the man's daughter, Kelsey, saw a dazzle of white light lying in the distance. Alert, she made her way over fallen logs and around bushes until she came to the frail body of Amalthea. Her first instinct was to pick the child up off the ground to make sure she was alive. Next came the shock of Amalthea's features that were still unicorn. From the beginning, those things never really mattered to Kelsey. She thought what made Amalthea different is what makes her special.
From the first time Kelsey lay on eyes Amalthea, she couldn't leave her there in the woods. Without even a second thought, Kelsey stood up, with Amalthea in her arms, and began to walk back to where her father and the other men were talking. Kelsey's dad took some convincing, but as long as she took responsiblity for Amalthea, he said she could stay with them. Later on, as summer ended and fall progressed, the houses Kelsey's dad had planned began to come up. By the end of fall, Kelsey, her family, and Amalthea had moved into one of these houses. It is where they currently live today.

Eyes.: Purple
Skintone.: Amalthea has a pretty fair skintone. But that doesn't mean she looks ghost white. Overall, her skin has a peachy glow. As a kid, her knees, elbows, cheeks, and fingertips are all a very cute shade of pink. Helping give her a very child-like appearence.
Horn.: Amalthea's horn is very unique. Normally, it appears to be just a clear horn with a light blue tint. But when strong feelings are provoked (such as rage, sadness, happiness, etc.) color rushes into the horn, spreading until the horn is transformed to that color. The colors vary greatly, ranging from pink to black, or if confused it may be a variety of colors at once! The colors, if more than one is present, will never blend. Each color will be distint. During her baby stage, Amalthea will be holding a little pearl bracelet. Once in the toddler stage, the bracelet is moved up and placed around her horn. At this stage, a tiny butterfly jewel is dangling off of the pearls. It swirls with blues, greens, black, and pinks. The jewel is a reminder of the forest from which Amalthea came; the butterfly is a very comment insect to the forest.
Hair.: Her hair is mostly white with hints of pale purple in it. It's wrapped in a braid that's tied off with purple ribbon. Amalthea doesn't care to much what her hair looks like, so her braid is usually loose and her bangs just do their own thing. Her hair is extremely long! It reaches all the way to the ground(she occasionally trips or steps on it). Her bangs are slightly curly and go around her silver horn.
Clothes.: Amalthea doesn't really wear anything too specific. But she does have a few things she likes more than others. Dresses are one of her favorites. She says that they allow her to run, jump, climb, and do other things like that better when she's exploring. But not just any dresses! Lacey, puffy dresses are her favorite because she loves to dazzle things up. They can't be too extravegent, or else she'd tear them up on her adventures. You probably wouldn't catch her in a long dress or in a plain, straight dress. Dark colors aren't really Amalthea's thing either. Unless it's purple. But black is a big no for her (she'd never tell you, but Amalthea's afraid of the dark xD). Besides that, Amalthea basically just wears anything that's bright. Having white hair, she likes to get some color on her. Amalthea has one thing that she really loves. Nail polish. There's hardly a day when she's not wearing any on her toes or fingernails. A shade of light purple is the most common color she wears. Amalthea has the hands and feet like a human (small hands and feet), but has incredibly fluffy white ears like a horse. Also, there are little puffs of pale purple fur coming from her wrists and her ankles. Unlike her white hair, her ears are a pale shade of purple (even though they're pale purple, they'll purple enough to tell the difference between their color and the white of her hair).
Abilities.: She has the abilities to heal, but just small things like paper cuts because she's still little. Also, she has the ability to call little animals by singing sweet songs. But again, since she's still little she could probably only call small birds, cats, dogs, squirrels, and things like that. It's not really an ability, but if Amalthea concentrates really hard she can make her horn glow faintly. Rarely, Amalthea has the ability to turn into a unicorn. But after being in a human form for so long, changing shape into a unicorn becomes more difficult.
Personality.: Amalthea is the perfect example of a little kid. Always curious. 'What's that?' 'Can you eat that?' 'Why's this blue? Can it be pink?' Anything she doesn't know she wants to know. You can imagion that this curiousity can be a little troublesome for Kelsey. Very, in fact. Kelsey had to save her from a bee hive once when Amalthea climbed a tree it see what exactly was. Or that time with the snakes...The first time people see Amalthea they just assume that's she quiet, well behaved, boring prissy girl. They soon learn that she's quite the opposite though! She always seems to have an endless amount of curiousity and energy. She does have her spacing-out moments though. It's usually when she's really scared, when she's alone/lost, or when it's night and she's under the stars. After Amalthea learns something though, it's in her head for FOREVER. She rarely ever forgets anything she learns. Her brain is just like a little computer~(with a cute bunny for a desktop :'D)
Likes.: Little fuzzy animals, warm, spring days, to be held, to have someone brush her hair, to be read fairytales to, falling asleep in the grass, watching Kelsey cook, eating what Kelsey cooks, shiny things (kids xD), nail polish, shopping for new nail polish, walking across fallen trees, sucking her thumb when she sleeps (although she wouldn't know that xD), fruit, especially strawberries and peaches,
Dislikes.: Being around big bodies of water, bees, being in a dark place alone,

I didn't just want to get rid of the wonderful art people gave me, so I'm going to keep them here as well as pictures of Amalthea. Currently, I'm drawing a couple pictures of Amalthea for references. But my scanner is being a poo so I don't know when I'll be able to get them up. Hopefully soon though~

No one is probably going to know this but my real life friends, but the guardian is me in real life~ My clothes may be a little different though...And my eyes aren't blue xD
Name.: Kelsey
Age.: 16
Birthday.: Feb. 4th
Appearence.: Kelsey, like Amalthea, has extremely long hair. It isn't quite as long as Amalthea's is though. Her brown hair only reaches her butt. She has vibrant blue eyes that always seem to be smiling. Kelsey is and has always been a fan of fashion. But she never lets fashion interfere with comfort. So Kelsey can usually be found wearing plain brown boots (not with heels or anything), a short-sleeve or hoodie, and then just either jeans, shorts, or a skirt. Hats are also one of her 'things.' Her clothes do have a pattern to them though. They're always bright, cheerful colors. What can I say? They reflect on her personality 8D Another thing, Kelsey is always seen wearing the same little gold, heart earrings.
Personality.: Kelsey is all around a very happy person. She makes jokes every chance she can. But she also knows when it's time to stop joking around and be serious. Kelsey is also a very smart person. She doesn't have to try too hard to do well on tests or exams, it just comes naturally. But that doesn't mean that she doesn't put effort into learning more.
Likes.: Going out to eat, cooking food for friends, going on real adventures, cherry icees, ice cream, walking around the mall with friends, window shopping, trying on funky clothes (which she has no intention to buy), learning strange, little random facts, watching her friend's draw, listening to Japanese music (even though she can't understand it), and just talking to people. Kelsey is also very excited about a project that her and her friends are going to be working on once summer comes and school's over. They all plan to remodel a tree house in the woods were they have most of their adventures. They're going to rebuild the roof, paint it, get a door, get locks, add windows and curtains, and make the inside a cool place to hang out.
Dislikes.: Big dogs, anything that stings, reading too much at one time, veggies, Coke icees, being alone for too long, getting into arguments, and having people mad at her.
Pets.: Kelsey owns a small, white bunny and a little dog. She always takes the chance to put on of them in her purse to carry with her. She's an animal lover after all~
