Even though they had been sending her pills for the last few weeks, the contact with her doctors at the 'Happy Home' had been minimum, so when they had requested her to come in for a check-up, she had been slightly put out. If, as she suspected, the pills were the reason Nexi was around, coming here could possibly jeopardize his existence. Thus a slightly nervous Ruriska shuffled into the 'Happy Home', looked around and then sat down in a nearby chair to wait. Walking in behind, Nexi gave the area a quick glance and then sat down on the ground beside her, pulling his legs up to his chest.
There wasn't anyone else around. Relaxing a little, Ruri gave Nexi a reassuring smile and then began humming lightly. "Can we watch television when we get home Ruri?" Stopping her humming for a second, Ruri patted Nexi absently on the shoulder, or at least where his shoulder would have been had he not been a hallucination, and answered while staring at the roof. "Of course. We'll pick up some Chinese on the way home too."
And so they waited.

"They've changed the colour again," Viscount murmured, looking highly disheveled as he ran a hand along the wall of the corridor he was strolling through. Still, having his favourite walls changed from green (which he liked) to orangey-yellow (which looked like vomit) wouldn't ruin his day.
Today, for the first time in weeks, Viscount had woken up to someone other than Val. That was something to be celebrated, and the young man could hardly suppress his grin as he reached the waiting room.

"What's this for?"
"...I'm not sure."
Boredom having gotten the better of the both of them, Ruri and Nexi were inspecting the desk the secretary was meant to be sitting at. Gone on her lunch break perhaps? Who cares, since Ruriska was finding that with the simple click of a button a truckload of information would pop up on the screen for her viewing pleasure.
"What about this?"
"Ugh..." Ruriska gave a non-committal grunt as she scrolled down the page, barely aware of what was going on. Until Nexi put a hand through her chest and put a worried face against hers, while hissing, "Somebody is coming!"
Startled Ruri turned, saw a person entering the waiting room and took a step backwards. Unfortunately she walked into a chair and within seconds was sprawled awkwardly across the floor. "Er... ouch."
Meanwhile Nexi was hiding himself within the desk, though the attempt was ruined by one leg still sticking out.

Raising his brow in confusion as he saw something flash from one side of the room to the other, caught midway by what appeared to be a chair and proceeding to flop ungracefully onto the floor, Viscount felt duely disturbed by what he had just witnessed. Someone, on closer inspection a girl, was invading his favourite spot and in doing so had.. moved furniture. This was unacceptable.
Still, lying there on the floor she looked like she needed more help than Viscount in dealing with the movement of chairs in the room. He regained his composure and after a few seconds of doubt slowly moved towards the person. "H-Hello? Do you need help?" he asked as he offered a hand, completely oblivious to the fact that a see-through leg was wiggling not too far from his head.

It wasn't the secretary, Ruri was sure of that; otherwise there may have been a bit more annoyance. Perhaps even some yelling about invading the privacy of other patients, ect. Instead she was offered a hand of help, one she willingly took, since at the current time her legs seemed incapable of holding her weight and she was more than a little dazed. "Er... ah... thankyou." Taking his hand she allowed herself to be pulled into an upright position
"Yes... thanks... nice to um... meet you." Less than eloquent. Quickly as possible she righted the chair, placing it back in its rightful place, gave Nexi's leg a quick concerned look and after moving a few steps away from the desk smiled at Viscount, relaxing into the situation. "My name is Ruriska. It's nice to meet you."
Realising that nobody could actually see him, a fact he often forgot, Nexi poked his head out the top of the desk to watch what was happening.

"You're welcome," Viscount grinned, feeling more confident as the girl placed his chair back where it belonged. "I'm quite sure you're not the new secretary, so what were you looking at on the computer?" he asked, motioning towards the secretary's desk with a thin hand. Though, wait a minute, there was another person there. Failing to notice the transparancy of the green-haired individual, Viscount turned to him. "I see your friend is still looking at whatever appears to be so interesting. It would be rude to keep me out of the loop, no?" he asked with a wan smile and glanced around the room, feeling that there might just be another person hiding somewhere.
(<3 It's go time for me, I hope you can get enough sleep today and that the headache leaves you.)

Shuffling her feet rather like a child would having been found with cookie crumbs on her top, Ruriska looked from him to the computer and then back to him again debating what sort of excuse she was going to make up. But Ruri had never been good at making up excuses and was about to tell him exactly what she had been up to when he mentioned Nexi.
This was an uncommon occurrence. One that Nexi seemed to be more concerned about then her. "He can see me!" He exclaimed, his mouth wide with shock before he disappeared completely into the desk. Ruri blinked and then smiled. "I was reading the other patients files. They're really interesting." Lying had never been her strong point. "Aren't they Nexi?" A low, 'yep' issued up from within the wooden desk.
".. He's a little shy. So what are you doing here?"

Just as Vis was about to answer Nexi's exclamation with a rather tartly said "You're kind of hard to miss with that green hair, you know", the now obviously transparent youth disappeared into the desk. His eyes darting from Ruri to Nexi and back to Ruri again, Vis automatically raised a hand to scratch the back of his neck, a habit he'd picked up in the Happy Home, most commonly seen when he was utterly confused. Though, you didn't really need to know that information to see just how at a loss for words the young man was. His mouth (which seemed to be having trouble understanding the various commands Vis' brain was giving it, open-close-open-close) would've given that away. Gulping like a fish out of water and having trouble standing upright, Vis realised he had laid eyes on the second of Val's kind. He wasn't the only lunatic after all.
Completely ignoring what Ruri said (something about computer files, it didn't quite connect in his brain), he staggered over to the desk and sort of leaned on its smooth brown surface, trying to catch a glimpse of the green shadow hiding within it. "W-what.. Where.. I.." he stuttered, his head desperately making an effort to form a correct sentence. The only people he had been talking to for the past few months were two nurses and a doctor, and they kept him sedated with simple and short words. Now, faced with the first stranger in ages (aside from that girl in the library, not too long ago) it was hard enough to keep calm, a near-visible guy hiding inside a wooden desk notwithstanding.
And this was supposed to be such a good day. "Who are you?" he finally managed to blurt out.

It had all started out so well but now, within a few short second, everything was going slightly downhill. The man that had stumbled across her in the waiting room was now looking somewhat pale and in need of a good lie down. He looked utterly dumbfounded. For a second Ruri was worried he was about to faint, but at the last moment he seemed to gather himself together in order to lean across the desk and spout gibberish for a few seconds. How very strange? Were all the people in this place like him?
Coherent sentences finally appeared. "Didn't we... already cover that?" Needless to say, Ruri was somewhat confused as well. "My name is Ruriska... oh, do you mean him? This is Nexi. Say hello Nexi." After a short pause, in which Ruriska stared meaningfully at the desk, the green-haired figure of Nexi crawled out.
Nexi stared at Viscount for a moment before giving him a wide smile and moving himself into a cross-legged position on the floor. "Hello" With that out of the way, the two grinned at Vis, expecting the conversation to continue at normal.

Staring at the two grinning people in front of him, one see-through and the other obviously not entirely normal either, Vis couldn't help but grin in his bewildered state. "N-Nexi.. Is it?" he managed to squeeze inbetween the many ers and uhms coming out of his now completely uncontrolable mouth. With wobbly legs, he shuffled over to a chair that at least seemed solid, and let himself fall into it. The familiar, uncomfortable fabric of the seat put him at ease.. somewhat.
Still carrying a stupid smirk that was somewhere inbetween bemusement, confusion and fear, he murmured "Well, I couldn't expect to be the only one forever.. It's logical they would have to move out of the testing phase at some point.. But I told them about the side-effect, and they said they'd fi-" caught midway in that sentence by an idea, he jumped up and ran over to Nexi, flinging his arm through the green-haired youth. As it went through, his smile got brighter and he turned to Ruri, grabbing her by the shoulders. "You can still stop it! Save yourself! Stop taking the pills, or he'll stay with you forever!" he exclaimed, sounding exasperated.
He had to stop this woman from making her illusion real. This Nexi kid, if he was anything like Valycinte..

Nexi nodded, grim faltering slightly as he grew concerned over the way this strange new person was acting. Although he hadn't had much contact with anyone other than Ruri, mumbling to yourself, slumping down in a chair and looking pale generally wasn't all that good. Ruriska usually did it when she had a headache. At that thought Nexi's expression became worried, though because of the fact that Ruri was still grinning like a Cheshire, he figured everything would be ok.
Ruriska wasn't quite sure about what Vis was going on about and has thus tuned out quite a few minutes ago. Though noticeably boring, the wall was an easy focal point and since it was right over Viscount's shoulder it made it easier to pretend she was paying attention to whatever he was saying. Normally she was a lot more attentive, but ramblings did get dull after a while.
Then his figure shot past her and Nexi gave out a little yell. Spinning around she barely got a chance to even look at Nexi before the insanely grinning man grabbed her by the shoulders. What on earth was he doing? "Who... eh?" Ruri blinked in bemusement. "But I... like Nexi."
"Stop it, let her go!" A rather agitated Nexi appeared beside them, a dark frown on his pretty features as he waved his arms ineffectually through Viscount's body.

(( I'll give Val a nice red colour, he likes to stand out. whee ))
"Well, that's just great," Val grunted, to no one in particular. Even if there had been anyone in the cluttered, cramped room, they probably wouldn't have been able to seen the orange-red haired vision anyways. He shuffled past a few empty pots, of which many were scattered across the floor, and casually pulled the fur of his dark emerald coat tighter around him. One of the more troubling things that the Happy Home lacked was heating. November really isn't the warmest month of the year.
As he scowled and muttered obscenities, it became clear that he was obviously looking for something- or someone. Passing through chambers, patients and nurses, he sprinted off in the general direction of the waiting room.
His grin faded and his features returned to normal, his slight frown adding to the general bleakness of the youth's appearance. He didn't let go of the woman's shoulders, but he was troubled by what she and the boy were saying. She likes him? He's asking me to let her go? - his mind, rusty from months of thinking about little more than the colours of the walls, couldn't quite wrap itself around the idea that an invisible friend would be something someone wouldn't want to get rid of. "You don't like him," he stated in a breezy matter-of-fact manner and he blinked at Nexi, who was wiggling his arms through Vis' lungs.

"Um..." Ruri couldn't quite find the words she wanted as she stood there in Viscount's grasp, blinking slowly. Bemused, she spluttered a bit before falling silent and trying to make sense of this smiling maniac. Nexi continued to stick his arms into various body parts, now close to tears.
Eventually Ruriska smiled happily, giving Nexi a glance to hopefully calm him down. "Of course. I don't like Nexi." The hallucination in question looked quite shocked at that, even more close to breaking down to tears than before. "I love him." There was of stillness just before Nexi beamed happily and Ruri patted Vis on the shoulder.
"Ok. You can let me go now... unless you want a hug? I'll have to warn you though, I'm not very good at hugging."

"You love him? You're nuts!" the youth blurted out as he let go of Ruri's shoulders, looking at her as if she had just sprouted tentacles. "How can you love something that isn't real? This.."- he paused, glancing over to the blur of green who was currently smiling brightly at the girl. Vis cocked his head slightly in confusion, causing a whisp of his scarlet hair to fall in front of his eyes. Still shaking, he brought a hand up to his face to wipe away the strands of red and after doing so moved it to his neck, trying to ease the painful prickling running through his skin.
They're friends? Vis might've been crazy but he certainly wasn't considered an idiot. He could put one and one together, and in this case, he had to agree that all the evidence would suggest that this girl was speaking the truth. She and "Nexi" liked eachother. Maybe.. Maybe the medicine takes parts of your personality and turns them into a person.. That would certainly explain a few things. "I'm sorry," he sighed, looking extremely flustered, "I.. have an illusion too, you see." That wasn't much of an explanation at all and he knew it, so as an excuse of sorts he smiled blearily at the two of them. "He's an as-"
"I'm a what, Alexander?" facial muscles tightening his purple skin around his mouth, making the words sound very forced and short. There was something threatening about the man who just stepped out of the wall and was taking confident strides towards the group near the desk. "Surely you wouldn't be badmouthing me in front of such a lovely lady?" he grinned as he raised a hand in the direction of Ruri, with a hint of sarcasm playing through his voice.

Still somewhat perplexed by Viscount's attitude, Ruriska turned away and linked hands with Nexi (or at least mimed the actions to it while ignoring the fingers going through her palm). They grinned at each other for a second before Ruri inclined her heads towards Vis, a look of eternal patience on her face. "But he is real." Seeing Viscount's discomfort over the situation she reached over to pat him gently on the shoulder.
Though somewhat strange at times, and often confused by the simplest things, Ruri was generally a good person to know. She was accepting and the things that had most people calling their psychologist she embraced with open arms. Blinking the young woman stared at the new apparition, her brain slowly making sense of all the information from her various senses.
Val, as he strode over, had his own aura about him: arrogant and dangerous. "Oh... hello." She looked from Val to Vis. "Is this... oh, you have someone too? That's so great! Look Nexi."
Nexi stared over Ruri's shoulder, a shy smile on his face, a little uncertain over if he should go over and say hi or stay where he was.
