Fupa'jinigutua had lost her way. Normally sticking right next to her mate, Kucha, she had managed to mis-step her path and lose sight of him.
"K-kucha...?" she called out, hoping that he would hear her, and come to her rescue. Though it was only dusk, soon it would be night, and Fupa didn't know how to navigate herself in the dark cover of night.
Spooked at a sudden noise, Fupa stumbled as she tripped on a rock, falling face-first in the dirt.
"Oww..." the white hyena squeaked out. She pushed herself up into a sitting position and glanced around, shivering. "Where...am I?"

Keen golden eyes gleamed as they remained almost unblinking, staring into the open land as the sun slowly made its disapparence. Finally the strain and moisture was too much and his focus disappeared as he allowed for his eyes to take their need for closing, the adolscent's white body shifting slightly from his position behind a nicely position boulder, his prey some meters off. Xemnas' black tipped paws made the only sound he would allow as the soft pads shifted against the pebbles and dirt below. His body geared, ready to strike at the poor hare beyond, finally after the prey he had been watching.
The rabbit's ears twitched suddenly, as did his own, as a noise from some ways off caught both their attentions. The young male hyena's right ear flicked slightly, eyes still remaining on the brown prey, it's little noise wiggling towards what had made such the fuss. It hopped forward, still sniffing before making a quick retreat upon realization of what it could be. Xemnas cursed under his breath, watching his meal slip away before he could take a chance to even give chase. His golden eyes turned their attention of the disturbance, body picking itself up on reflex and he trotted his way over - perhaps to find a new meal or at least to figure out what had gone wrong.
The young hyena halted as he found what probably was the fault, an older female hyena upon the ground, and sitting.. disoriented. He kept his distance, however, and watched her in the same way he watched the hare.
"Probably not where you're wanting to be, from what I can gather." Came his monotoned reply.

The small female shook herself to get the bits of dust and dead grasses out of her coat before glancing over to see who had spoken to her. Her heart had initially jumped when she heard the voice, thinking it to belong to a lion, but instead it energed from a fellow hyena. Her heart slowed it's race as she gave a little, polite nod to the other.
"H-hello....and no, not really. I got seperated from my..." she flushed a bit before continuing, "...from my friend." She pulled herself up into a standing position, taking a better look at the male that was infront of her.
The patterns that danced around his coat were nothing short of amazing to Fupa. A mix of the light and the dark, swirls of them blending and mixing together. It took her a bit to pull away from the intricate designs and notice his gold eyes. She quickly averted her gaze, though, nervous that perhaps eye contact would further irritate him. He didn't seem too happy. As far as Fupa could tell, anyway.

Xemnas blinked slowly, still keeping his attention upon her in a quiet observation. Given his usual attitude towards anything, he would have half expected hmself to slowly slide his eyes closed and wander off without a care. But it had been so long since he had seen anything else remotely like himself, let alone someone that wouldn't later end up in his stomach. He hardly noticed he was staring in somewhat interest, golden eyes just a little wider than normal. Though, he still had half a mind to not allow his curiosity of her to visibly show upon his features any futher than his gaze.
"I see..." Was his well articulated reply, sounding like it could have been sincere, that he did maybe care of her situation but at the same time couldn't really give a hoot in the same sentence. Perhaps both true, Xemnas was just honestly a bit socially retarded, having spent so long on his own away from others and not one to handle conversation.
The dark patterned hyena finally expressed an actual somewhat emotion, tilting his head to the side as she just seemed to be staring back at him. What was she doing? He wondered, staring back at her. He obviously wasn't interested in her coat - as white as it was - as she seemed to be with his. He blinked once again, and looked to the right before looking back at her.

Fupa'jinigutua didn't quite notice that though the strange hyena was looking at her, she did notice when he spoke. Her ears flicked forward, really hearing him for the first time. His voice was something that she'd hadn't heard before; very precise, and almost without emotions. Being an emotional girl herself, she found it...odd.
She glanced up at him at that moment, and noticed that he seemed to have a puzzled expression on his face. Well! She flushed, realizing just why he was probably confused.
"I...I am sorry! Your coat is just filled with amazing patterns, it was hard to not look..." Her eyes quickly shot to the ground, right around her white toes. "Mine is so drab, and my friend's is just black, so seeing the mix was....well..." her voice dropped off, her shyness taking over. Hopefully she wouldn't start stammering soon. That would be even more embarassing. "...interesting."
Not daring to look back up at him, for fear of eye contact, she gingerly offered him her name, hoping the same in return. "I'm Fupa'jinigutua but...you can j-just call me...Fupa if you'd like..." And as her words drifted off into the barely audible, her tail flicked around, covering the side of her right foreleg.

The female seemed rather expressive, he thought to himself as he cocked his head back a little as he watched her. Expressive ears, taking in his voice and then her gaze fell away from his and to the ground and she stammered her apology. An apology and what seemed to be rolled with a compliment right after. And all Xemnas could find himself doing was stand there, almost like a rock. The only movement coming from him were the unnaturally long blinking of his eyes or the rustle of his light grey tuffs of hair when a slight breeze picked them up.
He was finding the situation totally unnatural. No one had ever really complimented his coat - well, except his adoptive mother but only after he was cleaned up from his romps in the mud. This... this was just new but he knew better than to be rude to the kind words.
"No need to apologize, Fupa'jingutua." Letting her full name slide off his tongue; shorter ones seemed reserved for friends or kin and was something one reserved till after just initial meetings. Xemnas paused for a moment, collecting his words and flicking his tail before moving on. "I wouldn't say your's is drab, it has its own uniqueness with the spots of red. You have a very lovely clean coat of white." Though, with the way he said it, it could be hard to tell if it even was a compliment.
"I'm Xemnas." He then offered, no appreviations having none.

Apologies were something that easily cam out of the little white hyena. All her life she had been riddiculed, abused, and hated upon, and the only words that she ever breathed were 'I'm sorry'. It came as second nature to her. And though she didn't expect any sort of physical abuse, it was the emotional scars that took much, much longer to heal.
Fupa'jinigutua flushed when he lightly complimented her coat. She took it as such, as her mind had slowly begun to take anything that it could as positive. Kucha had seen to that, with his constant flares of affection. Even if he was...a little pushy.
"Xemnas..." She echoed, trying to remember the name, and it's odd sound. It was definately different, but she fancied the different. "It's...good to meet you, Xemnas." Again it rolled off her tongue, this time sounding a bit more like the way he said it.

How the whole thing just seemed to grow more weird for Xemnas, hearing another voice speak his own name and with such pleasentries. He was never aware of how different sounding it was to most other names but it was refreshing to have someone else say it for once besides just himself, made him seem a little less alone if someone else knew of him in the least.
"It is very nice to meet you as well, Fupa'jingutua." Still taking on her full name, he offered her a small nod of his head in good measure as he was taught and fell once again in an awkward silence with her. Really, where else would one go with these conversations? Should he offer to aid her in finding her way when he was really unsure and uncaring of where he was himself? - Where was he anyways? - Not heading in any particular direction himself, he had put no thought into taking note of landmarks or something that could hint to currents or paths. His golden eyes glanced once again to his right and then his left in uncertainty, his light grey tail swished against his hind legs.
Taking one last glance at her, the young hyena bowed his head once more before shifting his body with right foreleg leading him to pivot around and away from the female. "I do wish you luck with relocating your friend," Was his last offer of departing words, having really no other incling to what to with her besides go on his way and leave her to her own doings.
[ Saffi, this is in no way just me ending or beginning to conclude the roleplay xD; more to just what Xemmy could only think of doing - begin to leave. ]

Fupa blinked as he seemingly gave her the goodbye pleasantries, and the motioned as if to leave. Wait, what? He was going to leave already? But....but she needed help, didn't she? She wanted to find Kucha, most definately, but she just didn't know where to look. She barely knew these lands.
"Wait!" she exclaimed. As the words slipped out of her mouth, she felt confused. Did she really say that? It felt..foreign.
She looked up at him, blinking all the way, as if she didn't have another thing to say. Well, this wouldn't do any good. She started...might as well finish.
"I...I was uh...wondering if perhaps you saw my friend." She studdered out. Keep going... "He's mostly black. Kind of a scruffy looking fellow. Not the nicest guy....but perhaps you've seen him? Or...maybe...something like him?" She flushed a bit after speaking all this, really having to remember what Kucha was like. She felt bad for not portraying him in a better light but...that's kinda how he was.

Just as he had gotten some two feet away had he suddenly come to a halt from her call. Xemnas simply blinked, no sign of any real emotion or expression upon his features as he twisted his head and part of his upper body to once again face her from where he stopped. Golden eyes stared directly at her, almost glowing as the stars themselves who were now coming from their hiding places.
Xemnas blinked slowly once more and looked to the ground, trying to recall if he had even seen anyone else while tracking his lost meal. "... No," He began a little louder than his usual tone as to be audible and then thought for a moment, "I don't recall seeing anyone else with a black coat, mostly those of browns and of the earth." Though, of course Xemnas wasn't really aware she was specifying just a hyena, but most of the rabbits and other critters in these parts seemed to be brown - some of them seemed intelligent enough to become acquitences.
"Would..." Xemas suddenly found himself saying, "you like me to help you find him?" Where did that come from?

Fupa'jinigutua's heart sank a bit when his brief reply of a 'no'. So just where was Kucha? She certainly wasn't the most brilliant hyena, but she just couldn't believe she was a klutz enough to lose her mate. Oh, he would just laugh at her now if he knew.
Her attention strayed from her thoughts and back to Xemnas, where he was repeating back Kucha's description back at her. Well, she had no reason not to believe him, for he was kind so far...her crimson eyes flickered as she looked up at him, nervously. Darkness was falling...and Fupa hated the dark.
"T-that would be great..." she started softly. "Though it might be a little tough with dusk upon us.."

His soft grey tail gave a short flick as he continued to watch her from his position some feet away. Golden eyes beginning to glow ever so slightly more and more as the night began to decend upon them though didn't catch her nervous reaction to the shift in time. Another slow blink, waiting for her to catch up.
"It shouldn't be," He replied, having never come across any problems with hunting and meandering in the night. Hyena were creatures of the night after all. "Though, if his coat is as dark as you described it as, he would very well blend into the darkness." He shifted slightly, eyes glancing sideways in thought.
"Where was the last place you saw him?" Answers would be more helpful than going in blindly and ending up even more lost.

Fupa's eyes were not quite adept to the night, but she was much too nervous to mention this detail to Xemnas. She offered him a nod, her white fur looking grey as the sun fell, though if the moon was bright tonight, her coat would reflect it's glow. She would be hard to lose, at any rate.
"Yes, his coat is black as night," she said softly. "But if the moon rises, then perhaps it would be easier to see him." She moved a bit closer to Xemnas, nervous of the night. She was never a night-walker, and thus everything durning the night scared her. Even though she didn't know Xemnas well enough, he was something mildly familiar in the cloak of darkness that would fall upon them.
"I remember him being a few hour's walk to the west," she motioned with her nose, "but it's been a while since then, and I don't know where he might of wandered to..." She was unsure as of where to start, but had a bit of hope that Xemnas would take charge and tell her where they should go.

"Perhaps," Xemnas lightly agreed, growing a little bit uncomfortable at the narrowing proximity between the two. His brows creased slightly, unease in his eyes as he took a small step to the side to regain a little bit of his personal space back. Sure, he could at least sense there was some anxiety from her - what, was she afraid of the dark or something? - but it wouldn't help her any for him to not be comfortable while they tried to figure out where this other hyena had wandered off to. Someone needed to be level headed.
"Hopefully this friend is also looking for you," He added, glancing at her for a moment before turning his gaze west to where she indicated, "You would be easier to spot than him." The young hyena couldn't help but sigh, this was going to be a long night wasn't it. A few hours west was one thing, but the other male could have gone anywhere by then after so long.
His tail flicked, golden eyes back upon her, "We should probably head toward there by any case, he might have returned to the location even after some time." Seemed logical, or hopefully she would meet up with him along the way, and it seemed she was more waiting for him to take charge and he was more than willing - the longer they stayed here, the longer he was stuck with her. So, with a simple nod, he signaled their leave and took his own steps towards a westerly direction.
"What were you doing out here by yourself, if you don't mind me asking." Xemnas making small talk? Gasp!

Fupa's red eyes slowly turned towards the sky, seeing that indeed the moon would poke out, but it would be a small time before they knew how bright it would be on this night. She hopes it wouldn't be too bright, or her white coat might shine across the plains like a becon, something that she hated about her white coat. Where she got the 'ghost' part of her name. Shivering, she did her best to mentally shake off the memories and focus on finding Kucha.
"Well...I'm not sure. I remember that we were hunting, and I'm not too good with hunting. So I think I ran off a bit too far, and trying to find my way back....didn't do much good." She flushed a bit, which was nearly a constant on her white face. "So I tried to look for him, keeping in mind where I was going....and ended up here, I guess."
