Have an idea, but not an offical carnie? Well, come post your ideas of a character you have in mind or simply just hold a critque.
Things to include: -history of this person -skills and talents, what you imagine their circus job will be. -world type they came from and their place in that world. -personality. -appearance.
Tips: - Having a concept here does not give you exclusive rights over any job, talent, appearance, world, race, age, hair color, etc. When/if you get hired on to Cirque, then you'll have some level of exclusiveness, but until then, don't get angry with anyone encroaching on "your territory." - That being said, it would be wise to check out the other concepts before coming up with your own so you aren't stepping on anyone's toes. If both of your characters are lion tamers then we'll probably look at who's character is more interesting and who's writing is better... and if that's not you... then you could be out of luck. - Use common sense when creating a character with the same job as an existing cast member. We could have endless unique clown characters, but only one ringmaster. Usually its best to contact the player of that character and ask them if your concept would work well with their character. Keep in mind that existing cast members will have priority over their particular job. - The more original and unique the character, the better! Take advantage of the different worlds and histories characters can come from. - Don't forget about Stage 1! Include a bit about what they look like out of costume and what job they might do before allowing to perform. - Allow room for growth and change. Some pretty crazy things can happen by Stage 3, so allow room for those things to happen or you might just end up with a new costume and no growth. - For concepts aimed at being entered in a flatsale, keep in mind that they enter the story as a nothing. If there were already the star of the show in a pervious circus, why would they leave all that to join Cirque? Of course, those who win an auction or certain events will have to choice to enter Cirque at any given stage... so they could be a star looking for a new audience. - Don't get greedy with talents. Your character breathes fire? Cool! And swallows knives? Okay. And puts nails up is nose? Uh huh. And brings out a bunch of dogs during his show and has them jump through hoops? Stop. Save some talents for other people. We don't want to have to tell someone with a really good concept "No, you can't do that cause the guy that breaths fire, swallows knives, puts nails up his nose and has a pack of trick dogs already does that." Sure, your concept could do all those things, but choose only one claim to fame and expand on that for the 3rd stage.
More later...

Talents/Jobs already in use: (Note: these are specific and should not be cloned. While we allow multiple of some jobs, these are listed with their "schtick" and should not be included in new concepts without talking to the player first.)
ringmaster magician* magician's assistant/clown assistant (but there can never be too many clowns) fortune-teller talking to the dead/spirits artist joker-esque clown monkey story-teller "fishboy" sideshow bubble blower knife throwing trapeze and aerial silks* fire-dancing* flaming swords fireworks coordinator
* Skill can still be used, just make sure your character is very different from the one already in play.
Worlds already in use: (Note: These can still be used, just be aware.)
Type A Historical 1920's (Scarlett, Rightmaster) Franciscan Empire Rome, alternate universe (Lucrezia)
Type B 1700-1800 New Orleans + magic (Phillipe) Gaia (Hadrian) 19th century, Victorian London + magic (Charlot) Future magic Tokyo? (WingTing, correct me on this one)
Type C
(Those not noted come from original worlds, unspecific alternate universes or I just haven't gotten to them yet.) xd
