What the hell is going on here?



Just a giveaway of terrible proportions. :3

My sugar-daddy (Mr. High5BanjoStrings, the unsung hero of EverGleam) and I decided some months ago that it would be amazing if a feat like this could be accomplished. Sure, tons of people quest to own all of the donation items... but would they give them all away? Not likely.

This contest exists to provide a challenge. To you, to us, to this guild in general. If we can accomplish this, then I am confident that ANY quest can be completed-- With kindness, patience and determination.

SO! How is all of this going to work? I'm glad you ask.

1 - Obviously, the two of us can't make this contest work on our own. We need donations for this to work. So, if you see fit, PLEASE donate to this contest! The more donations we have, the more items we can buy.

2 - How are prizes dispersed? Every 200 pages, we will give away a prize. Like the old thread, you will have to have the FIRST post on that page.

3 - No, you don't have to pay to join this contest. You don't have to fill out a form, be on a list or any of that madness. This is a contest for EVERYONE. Just post, have fun and get along.

4 - Not one person DESERVES any of these prizes. Remember that when you start to whine about not winning. Seriously. This is something I will NOT tolerate this time around. If you are in this guild, then I expect better of you.

5 - You are all equal here. Don't forget this rule.

6 - Can you win more than one prize? Sure.

7 - Just have fun, meet people, chat with the friends you have... That's what this guild is about; Keeping people together. Friends are more important than prizes and gold.

8 - Can you bump? Sure! I can't afford to PAY you for your bumps anymore, but you can bump your little hearts out.

9 - The title of the thread, "Return of the Crotch"... I know all of you didn't come from my old thread(s), so you aren't familiar with THAT insanity. Well! Back when my old giveaway thread wasn't going so well, I advertised with my crotch ("EverGleam! Now with 100% More Crotch!"). Along with the tales of Chuck Norris and Tim Burton, this is something funny that just carried over from the past. Where is the crotch, you ask? We may never know.

A few things before we begin. Read it. Read it all, dammit!:

Since our community is rather small, you are only allowed to purchase 10% of the tickets. You don't have to buy them all at once, but know that there IS a limit to the tickets you can buy. We'll get into specifics later on.

All gold generated by these lottos goes DIRECTLY to the guild donations. SO! When you send over a trade, send it to the mule. On the 29th of each months I send out donations to the contest hosts here at EverGleam. Trust me, they love the support and they love you for helping out. AND! It's a win-win situation for you. :3

Just in case you missed that link to the mule, here it is again.

The number of tickets I'll sell is determined by the value of the item. I take that value, and half it. SOooo.... If an item costs 20,000g, I will sell 10,000 tickets. Pretty damn good deal.

Tickets are 1g each. Label your trade "Lotto!" when you send it to the mule, or I'll just assume it's a donation and you will receive no tickets. You've been warned!

NO, you may not use mules to buy more tickets. You may ONLY buy 10% of the tickets; that is 10% per PERSON, NOT account.

A winner is, of course, chosen with Gaia's random number generator. And I will generate that random number right here in the thread once all the tickets are purchased.

Why you should buy tickets, even if you don't like the prize...
Nobody said you can't sell prizes. And, trust me, you're not going to be able to get your hands on these items so cheap anywhere else. Think of the profit you could make! Look at it this way: I'm giving these items away for half of the average MP price, and you're not even paying THAT to enter the lotto. And the gold you spend? It goes directly to this guild, to contest threads and for special holiday events. You benefit either way.
