I picked up the newspaper 24 hours on the bus this morning, and was greeted with this lovely image:

OMFG! VLAD!

He got arrested (arrested, not just led away) at a squatter protest site in Vancouver.

I was really worried for a while (hence my hysterical email to Rhia sweatdrop ), but then levelled off when Mr Truss informed me that Vlad sent him an email three days ago telling him that he was trying to get arrested/on the news...

So then I went around showing everyone the newspaper saying, "Dude, my friend just got arrested!". My parents thought it was hilarious, and my brother is still laughing downstairs.

Anyway, I thought I should post it here because it amuses me (now).

But just remember, kids: getting arrested at 15 is NOT COOL.

Ok I know Vlad has been kind of weard ever since he came to high school, but THIS exclaim I mean... Why was he trying to get arrested question seriously, thats not cool.

Well, if he was a protester, obviously he wanted to get arrested to get on the news, but still. Getting arrest goes on your legal record. gonk

Also, I'm curious to know what he was protesting for, does it say in the paper?

EDIT: Halli and I were commenting on how he sort of resembles someone from The Outsiders. It's the leather jacket. xd

Vlad has become SUPER radical since middle school and now he's just borderline insane. He had a mohawk until recently, before that he completely shaved his head, and before that he had a butch/lesbian cut. lol (I went around introducing him as "my new girlfriend" for a while xd )

He was protesting the government's decision to not build any more housing for homeless people... but IMO he just wanted to protest for the sake of protesting and get on the news.

Yeah, I saw his mohawk. 3nodding Last year, when I was in grade 8, he came to our middle school at the end of the day. (To visit.) My friend had this huge wide-eyed shocked expression on her face when I said 'Hi' to him. She's never seen anyone with a mohawk before. (Plus the all the black leather clothing and nosering he had on. xD)

I thought so, I read it on the news and assumed that was what he was protesting for. xD

And even though he *was* looking to get arrested on purpose, he *did*, thus getting what he wanted. So, in the end, I dont know wether to be ashamed, or laugh my a** off xd .

And even though he *was* looking to get arrested on purpose, he *did*, thus getting what he wanted. So, in the end, I dont know wether to be ashamed, or laugh my a** off xd .
