IRREGULAR PATTERNS IN PHONOLOGY

text books will tell you:

OK I AM GOING TO SHOW YOU THE NEW ROMANIZATION I HAVE GOTTEN FROM VARIOUS SOURCES. SINCE 4 OF THE JAPANESE VOWELS are uniQUE (UNLIKE YOUR TEXTBOOKS SAYS) I WILL USE THEIR HIRAGANA.
