Kilango had trailed off a few miles from her original location. It had been almost hours since she fought and attacked her younger brother, and she regretted nothing of it. Of course, as the hours flew by, so did the sunlight. It was slowly beginning to turn dark out, the perfect time to be out and about. A light breeze was sweeping through the tall grasses. She let out a snort, as she continued on the path to the Priderock, where she began plotting her next move. Now that she had taken out Wahabu, or atleast she thought she did -- she wanted more. More of that delicious, warm red blood, just like the stuff that came from her brother. She licked her maw, and then raised her head to sniffle at the flowing air. Her ears swiveled as she heard footsteps about. Alarmed, she darted off, continuing the direction towards the center of the pridelands.
The blue cub had gotten a decent head start from the time Kiza showed up until the time Mtima left the den, and Mtima's reluctance to actually face her daughter was cancelled out by the concern for others. As far as the goddess knew, there were quite a few cubs about and they would be at the greatest risk against someone Kilango's size- and answering to those attacks would be worse than feeble attempts on a lion more than twice her size. She took a moment to consider where Kilango might have gone off to, and if she was feeling particularly blood thirsty- as it certainly seemed with her brother- it made sense to go where there might be others to bother.
So the goddess headed for the central lands. In the dimming light, it was harder to see the physical form of the cub she sought, but it wasn't hard to spot the soul attached to the darkly colored body. Carefully, with mild help from her divine abilities, she jogged ahead quietly to come face to face with the cub and not catch her from behind. She would be less likely to run if she was faced with an obstacle, not chased by one. Her round about approach could not go unnoticed without leaving room for suspicions about how her mother could just appear, so she just ignored that her bright fur would surely stand out in Kilango's peripheral vision.
With a jogging-leap, Mtima did her best to cut the cub off, "Kilango."

Kilango peered forward, squinting her eyes. "Ah, so my mother has found me. ... ... good job. ... ... but, not good enough. You found me, but I can run away quickly." She grinned, and then began running. It was only until she actually took a good look around that she was stuck where she was. She struggled, and then backed up slightly. Sighing, she turned away from Mtima'safi. She had no reason to even look her in the eyes. "Why did you come for me? ... ... to stop me from doing what I want to?" She stood still, just standing there silently, awaiting her mother to respond. The tuft of hair on her head blew lightly, as she raised her head high, disgusted.
Mtima's expression was dead serious, an expression that rarely in her long life had been upon her face. Her eyes were sad as she looked down at her daughter who was not living life like a cub, who would even try to run away from her mother. She wouldn't let Kilango get away, even if she did try to run- between being bigger with longer strides and a god, if she needed to catch Kilango she would.
"Why wouldn't I come for you, Kilango? Why wouldn't I stop you?" she asked, whatever traces of anger there was in her voice was outdone by what saddness she let through. She barely knew what to say, and her speech was done in fragments as she struggled though a simple starting explanation, "You are my daughter, and I love you- but I can see right through you. You cannot attack others, especially your brother, and get away with it."
Kilango turned around to look at her mother, her eyes glowing a blood red colour. Her innocence showed through, as she turned around, coming up to Mtima'safi. Her eyes narrowed with sorrow, as she looked up to the yellow hued goddess. "... Mommy. ... I don't know why. I don't know why you try to stop me ... ... I ... I don't understand. I thought I was doing good. ... being nice. I ... I just." She paused, looking away, her jaw loosed up and wide open. Her voice sounded different, but it was still strange for the moment. She barely even knew what she was saying to herself, while she mumbled. She studdered, and then backed up slightly. She was lost in her mind, as she struggled, and then fell to the ground. She was unconsious, now or for a while, atleast.
Mtima watched the cub with the same serious expression. Her ears flickered as the cub 's eyes changed and soon her voice followed it. There was something strange about the way she was acting, but the goddess tried not to let this get to her- she couldn't go on being soft and turning away when Kilango had truly hurt her brother. This didn't stop a jolt of panic when Kilango suddenly collapsed to the ground, and her expression went from serious to concerned. The lioness stood stunned for a moment, then quickly leaned down to check her cub's consciousness.
Kilango lightly twitched, her jaw flung open. She was deeply in dream now. A strong vision was coming on. Pictures lit up her mind to the world, as she thought on them. Now that she would be preoccupied for a while, it was probably the best time to return her to their home. Images flooded her, images of Kizamaji, Wahabu, and Mtima'safi, along with some of the other pride members, including the young green Kikore and his mother, Palesa. Her frown turned into a smile on its own, as she dreamt more and more. One thing did catch her mind, though. Pictures became clear of when young Kilango first opened her eyes, to see her mother. She felt so warm inside, as it tingled down her spine.
Mtima had seen nothing like this before, she didn't know what was going on- it didn't take long to guess that the cub was dreaming, and intensely. She stared for a couple of seconds, but took advantage of the situation they were now in. Kilango could be safely moved without arguement or fight, there was no time to stare and wonder about what was going on. Neither body nor soul of the child were in immediate danger, so she gently took hold of her daughter by the scruff of the neck and hurried homeward. Again, she seemed to travel at an unnatural speed. When they arrived in the area of their den, she didn't take Kilango in but instead settled outside with her.
A bit out of breath herself, Mtima leaned to the dreaming cub to make sure she wasn't in a panic. Even if she wanted to wake her up, she wasn't sure she could.

She sat still beside her mother for a few moments, as the images that made her feel warm inside, continued to come at her. Although she didn't realize it at first, she began mumbling in her dream. Clinging to Mtima's paw, she latched onto her, and yelped. "... ... Mommy!" Her voice was raspy as she spoke, and was strange. Her breathing came more quick, as her heartrate increased. She shook for a few seconds, until the images came to a hault. She grasped onto the goddess' limb tighter. Shocked, her eyes shot open, and she sprung up. She jolted off a few feet, before turning around to face her mother. Her heavy breathing continued to increase. She quickly tilted her head back and forth, looking about. She was confused more than ever.
In a hurry, she darted back to Mtima'safi's side and hid. Her ears lowered, as she peered out. "Where ... .... am I?"

Mtima lay as calm as she could with her daughter in her paws, just watching with wide blue and gold eyes as Kilango's visions continued. The squirming and mumbling were not something she enjoyed watching, but she couldn't do much else for her daughter. If she was just going to wake up, she would have on the trip back here.
Her ears turned down when she heard the word she rarely heard from her daughter coming from the unconscious cub. She was worried, but shew as also sad. It was like a sharp poke just to remind her she never heard pleasant conversation from her beautiful little girl. When Kilango finally woke, and jumped back, the goddess didn't even start but instead watched her.
"We're back at home, Kilango," she informed the hiding cub gently, even daring to curl a paw around her protectively.
Kilango peered around for a moment, and then lowered her ears as she darted to Mtima's side. She was confused slightly, as the thought that went through her head was ... ... different. She never even knew she could be that happy before. She was almost in shock from it, as she shook lightly, clinging onto her mother. "... ... i'm so sorry, mommy." She was feeling so strange, to the point where she began to shed tears. The emotions she felt right now were more than intense.
Mtima didn't reply at first, but held her daughter close. She certainly sounded sincere, and was being quite different than usual. It was entirely possible it was all an ellaborate trick, but she, as always, was willing to give Kilango the benefit of the doubt. It wouldn't make up for trying to kill her brother, but it was an excellent start in the eyes of her mother. She gave a strange sigh, and licked Kilango on the head affectionately. There were no words for the apology, what could she say- accept it, say she knew, say it was good? Nothing seemed perfectly appropriate, so she went with affection.

The young female continued to stay close to her mother's side. She looked to the ground, still shaking slightly. She opened her mouth, but no words could escape her maw. Confused, returned a glance back to Mtima, and then attempted to speak once more. "... ... I ... saw something." She studdered as she let the words vibrate out of her jaw. It was such a strange, mixed feeling of emotions she felt, and so she continued on to tell her mother what had happened. "I ... ... saw you. ... with me, when I was ... born." She looked away, still seeming sad. " ... and you looked so happy. I ... ... I ... don't understand. Because now sometimes ... you aren't." Kilango paused, as she closed her eyes, she came closer to Mtima'safi.
Mtima was glad to lay there and comfort her daughter if only by holding onto her, and despite the fear and confusion radiating from the cub, the lioness was savouring the moment and the closeness they had right then. She started when Kilango described what exactly had happened, how she'd had a vision- it explained what happened, why the cub had collapsed and seemed to be dreaming intensely. It was the first the goddess heard of either of her cubs showing the seer traits she knew they possessed, for it was that that she assumed it to be. Mtima offered a sympathetic and reassuring smile, to try to ease the cubs mind and perhaps encourage her to reveal what she saw.
"What did you see?" she asked gently, and was quickly answered. The sad look as Kilango explained what she saw confused her mother, until she finished explaining why. She gave another strange sigh, one that was a little more sad sounding and nuzzled Kilango, "I was happy because I love you, very much. But now I worry so much about the things you do, you worry me. I don't like the things you do sometimes, but I don't want anything to happen to you either. What happened with Wahabu.. you can't do things like that. If he'd been willing to fight back, you both could have been hurt." The goddess knew if he'd fought back, the wounds might not have been so bad for him or for her, but it was a point. Wahabu would probably be bigger than her one day, though it didn't seem he would be as strong.

Kilango just sat still, thinking silently on what Mtima had told her. She looked back up to her mother, and sighed a bit. "... ... Mommy ... I don't really understand why I do the things I do ... ... but, I just ... do them." Her ears folded back, as she stood up. Padding a few feet from the lioness, the blue and purple cub looked behind herself. "... I think I need to be by myself for a while. ... ... I need to think on some things." Her eyes widened with sadness, as she turned back around to continue in the opposite direction. She didn't want to tell her mother of her plans of running off, it was far too late for that. She had to go out with a bang, and this was the only way to get away from her family. She wanted to be with other lions for a while, see the world. Maybe then she would come to her senses. "I'll be ... back soon ... ... " She wandered off into the darkness, as she instantly disappeared into the tall brush.
Mtima opened her mouth, perhaps to try at some explanation for why Kilango acted the way she did. The soul had an impact on personality, the soul tended towards certain ideas and opinions, though it was not the only factor. Her daughter was letting her soul get the best of her, and it was this realization that let the goddess lay some blame upon herself. Before she could gather together all her thoughts, or say a word, Kilango was out of her paws and backing away fast. Almost instantly she got to her feet, not wanting to lose the moment with Kilango or her chance to offer some explanation. Kilango had a mind of her own, and was too determined; saying no wouldn't do anything but drive her away faster- so Mtima offered only a small, stunned nod.
"Behave," she murmured after the cub, just as she disappeared into the grass.
