Fitina roamed around the edge of the Prideland packlands, his ears pricked up high. He had followed a small group of Wild-dogs to this area and was glad he did so. The game in this area was much better than it had been in the area he had been roaming around in for the past year and a half after his twin sister had abandoned him. The thoughts of Mbingu made him shudder slightly. He caught the glimpse of a few zebra, but he ignored them. He had already feasted on a young one earlier that day and he was quite content with the amount of meat on the young zebra's bones.
Yawning slightly, he wandered over to a small tree and flopped down under it. He wasn't expecting anyone to come up to him. The last female he had seen was a young lioness, who had made it quite clear that she wanted to follow him everywhere. He had managed to get away from Panya, the lioness, as he slunk off a few days ago to find himself a good tree to rest in. For the rest of that day and until today, Panya hadn't caught his scent trail, which both surprised and relieved him. Fitina didn't want to get into any relationships with any females outside of his own kin, yet he didn't want any serious ones with any female leopards until he had found Mbingu. Flicking his cream-tipped tail back and forth, he yawned again and let his head lay down on the ground, not caring if any other predator came near him.

Alana had reached the pridelands, not actually knowing where she was, after all, she was a stranger to these lands. Born and bred in the jungle the outside world was a strange and confusing place, it was better here though then anything else.
The leopardess stalked something, not completely sure what it was, but she was curious and bored. She had never had a childhood so she played with herself an awful lot. Who else was she to play with?

Fitina slowly sat up after catching a scent of a leopardess close by. He scanned the area until he caught the sight of the leopardess. The white fur of Alana made her stand out. He flicked his ears slightly, happy that his coat was able to blend in with the tall grass. He slowly rose to all fours and slowly walked over to Alana.
Not wanting to scare her, he didn't stalk her, like he did the lioness. Instead, he kept his head well above the tall grass and he stopped a few feet away from her. "I hope you aren't lost," he said to her in a low voice, his tail curling around one of his hindquaters. The leopardess was beautiful up close, yet he pushed that thought aside. 'I don't have time for any of that stuff,' he thought to himself bitterly, but deep down inside he knew he wanted to raise a family of his own.
Flicking an ear, he turned his attention from Alana and gazed around the area, waiting for her to say something to her. Despite him being here for less than a week, he had already gotten used to the area and the other residents. He flicked the tip of his tail against his leg and slowly sat down on his haunches.

Alana turned and smiled, for once in her life not feeling very nervous. "Oh I am definatly lost!" She laughed and pounced him playfully. Odd, definatly, but it seemed for once she was actually happy enough to talk and not be really nervous.

Fitina wasn't prepared for the pounce he recieved from the leopardess. He fell onto the ground with a dull thud and he looked up at the leopardess with a shocked look on his face. He hadn't recieved a pounce since after his younger sister got killed when they were young adolescents. He closed his eyes briefly as he pushed aside the painful memory. "Where were you heading?" he asked Alana as he slowly opened his eyes, successfully pushing back the old memory. "Surely not to see the lions. Those beasts are horrible," he remaked, a hint of bitterness in his voice.

Alana would have blushed a little if it were possible for her to. She moved from him a little and listened to what the male had to say..
"Im not really heading anywhere! It has nothing to do with lions, least i hope not!" She smiled at him. "I am Alana by the way!"

Fitina slowly rose to his feet again and shook his fur to ride him of the dust that had settled on his coat. He flicked his tail back and forth against the ground as he listened to the leopardess talk. He sighed a breath of relief as he found out that she wasn't heading towards the lions. "That's good. I'm Fitina," he said to her, the bitterness vanishing from his voice. He sat back down on his haunches and curled his tail around his body. "So, what brings you here?" he asked her curiously.

Alana smiled, "I was escaping my past, I dont really have anywhere to go, I don't know where I am!" She laughed at herself mostly.
"You live around here?" She was older then him so she asumed him to be more wiser because of it, she was like that, believing those older to be more mature, unless pink or speak of spirits all the time!

Fitina nodded his head slightly, listening to her reply carefully. He had ran away from his past too many times for him to remember. He flicked an ear slightly and gazed around the area carefully. "You, my dear, are in Prideland territory, though I think the lions don't mind who roams around this area." Sighing, he thumped his tail against the ground.
He turned his gaze back to her as she asked him if he lived around here. "If you call it me living here. I've only been here about a week, but I know this area pretty well. The area near that big rock over there I have no idea about. That is where the lions and lionesses reside. I guess you can call me scared when it comes to encountering lions." He shuddered slightly, but not enough for her to notice it.

Alana listened to his words carefully, taking it all in and nodding as he spoke.
"I am not one for lions but then I find meeting anyone and anything rather scary. Do you travel alot then? If you haver only been here a week you must move alot, I suppose." She was guessing but she was feeling more socible and being around another leopard who seemed somewhat normal reassured her alot.

Fitina canted his head to one side and gazed at her curiously. "I wouldn't say alot, but as often as I can. I am searching for...someone, but I don't think this certain someone wants to be found," he told her in a soft tone of voice. He knew his sister didn't want anything to do with him anymore, but he still kept looking. He just wanted to make sure that she was still alive and healthy. Pinning his ears back agains his skull, he brushed a paw across the grass surrounding his body and he yawned slightly. The small zebra he had a few hours ago was starting to make him feel sleepy. He mentally slapped himself to wake him up as he tried to turn his gaze towards the leopardess.

"I could help!" She smiled, wanting to help, be around someone a little more. She wanted a friend, a close friend.
"Please let me help... I kind of, well, need some friends." She looked hopefully at him, she really did want a good friend. She could hope couldn't she?

[sorry about the late reply. was busy all weekend long and my internet went down Monday until tonight. Will PM ya to tell you that I replied]
He pricked his ears up slightly, now finally awake after hearing her comments. He sat up slowly and gazed at her curiously. He had never heard anyone ask to help him with his quest for his sister. He had always assumed that others wouldn't help him because of the way he was. He flicked his tail against the tall grass and smiled widely. He nodded slightly and slowly stood on all fours. "I would love it if you would accompany me to help me find the leopard that I am looking for," he said in a chipper voice. "I need friends, too." It was true. He had lived alone for far too long and had avoided others of his kin for too many months.

She smiled, "I can be your friend and you can be mine!" She chuckled a little and walked a little closer to nim, nudging his shoulder playfully.
"So where are we going first?" Her tail was doing this odd flick behind her, mainly to keep her balance as she jumped about. She was really happy, she had a friend, at last she had a friend!

He stood still as he watched her approach him, but he canted his head to one side when she nudged his shoulder. He had never had someone do that to her after his younger sister died. She was the one who mainly played with him since his twin sister never really liked to rough-house.
Shrugging slightly, he lowered the front half of his body low to the ground, his tail swishing excitedly, as he prepared to pounce her. "I was thinking we could roam around this area. I've heard rumors that the one I am looking for is around here, but then again, she could be anywhere." Smirking, he dug his claws into the dirt. "Just in case you were wondering, she is my twin sister. Hasn't been seen in a little over a year." And with that, he coiled his muscles and attempted to pounce on her.
