 Arachne sat in the grass, gnawing on a peppermint stick. Halloween was great. She got a whole bunch of peppermint sticks. Ah, what a great day. She smiled as she watched the sun slowly go down in the sky.
Nothing could be better then this. Though, she felt kind of lonely. She hadn't seen Jedrek or Demian in a while. Those two where the only ones she could actually call friends. She gave a deep sigh as she fiddled with her paws.
Her bat like wings folded nicely on her back. She hardly used them, but they came in handy when she did. She liked the ground more.

For having experianced his 1st Halloween, Sizzle had to say that it was indeed quite an unique and festive event. Granted his house buddy Souleater didn't like the prospect of people 'trick or treating' at the Brittle Manor, he was still able to have a fair amount of fun during All-Hallow's-Eve. He was just in the middle of and evening stroll to watch the sunset when he spotted a bright white and webbed looking female with the most unique wings he'd ever seen.
He back was turned to his approaching angle, so as not to scare her, he cleared his throat and announced his 'coming over to her.' "Hello! Sorry to bother you miss, I couldn't help but notice you alone out here." As he approached he noticed she was...darker looking than other numas and sincerely hoped she wasn't going to lash out at him in any way for his pestering her so.

She turned slightly to see a very bright looking numa. He seemed to have flame's coming of him. She stood there for a second. Blushing slightly and fiddling with her hair to hide her face. She didn't know what to say except a slightly quite, "Hello".
Still messing with her hair, trying to cover her face with her arms. Her tail went quickly to her side hiding the spider marking on her foot. She didn't like anyone to see it until they got to know her. She'd had a few others run from her in her life time, because of that black widdow. She loved spiders, but hated the way others acted around them. Only Demian and Jedrek understood how awesome spiders were.

Sizzle could tell right from the sudden actions that the female before him took that she was a shy and introverted sort of individual. "Why hide?" he asked boldly, "You do know that's not attractive in a girl. You should be proud of what you look like." Sizzle found shy or timid women as a turn off, for he most often found himself attracted to the bold and self-confident types. But still, being who he was, he was nice and respectful to almost every kind of lady. In attempt to boost the female's confidence and show her he meant her no insult, he smiled and proclaimed, "I really like your coloration. The red eyes and the black and red streaked hair is unique and yet somehow very alluring. So there's no reason to hide your pretty snow white face and your vibrant rose red eyes."

She felt even worse now. She was just acting the way she normally did around new numas. Though, not all would like how she acted. Jedrek was slightly wrong about her shyness, she guessed.
Soon he went to saying how nice she looked. She didn't know what to say, and felt very hot. Though, not as hot as he looked. He did, after all, have flames on him. Where they real flames? "Thank... You" She said. Slightly not paying as much attention as she should have. Still watching the flames around his wings.. Wait.. Wings? Flames and wings? This seemed really strange. Most the males she met were swimmers, perhaps they all had wings and she just didn't realize it. "Umm... Are those flames real?" She asked with out even noticing.

Sizzle paused at her inquirey then offered a kind smile, "Pretty much are. Though, they're not too much like real fire, since they burn eternally and don't singe anything or anyone unless I kinda...will them too or something, which is of coarse, something I would never do to inflict harm" he answered. "Your wings are the most uniquely beautiful ones I've ever seen. They're...actually...the only pair of your type of wings I've ever seen. I like them" he concluded, after feeling rather silly searching for words to describe something he'd only just laid eyes on.

It seemed that Sky Dancer wasn't the only one who really liked her wings. She couldn't help but give a small smile. Who could, when getting complimented on? Well, some could handle it, she couldn't though. Feeling a bit hot, she knew she was probably blushing. "Well, from what I've seen... I am.. The only one with them."
She didn't see why it was so great. Soon more will end up coming here with her type of wings. She was sure she wasn't the only one with them, just the only one here at the moment. She turned her attention back to his wings and flames. So, Sky Dancer wasn't the only one who had wings. Though, Sky's where much different then those ones.
She deicded that perhaps just staring eachother down wasn't the best thing to do. For it made her nervous, and who knows what he was thinking. "Perhaps we should do something. Standing here seems so... Boring."

Sizzle nodded, smirking as Arachne blushed. "Doing something rather than standing around sounds great" he concluded. Just as he was about to question if the female before him had anything in mind that she wanted to do, he paused and nearly sweatdropped, "Shoot! Why how rude of me! I never introduced myself, nor asked your name!" Quickly Sizzle cleared his throat. "I'm Sizzle, what's your name?" he asked properly, holding out a paw to shake.

Arachne looked at his paw and blinked. Hesitant to do anything, she didn't know what he was trying to do. She looked dumbfound. "Uh.. I'm Arachne" Still staring at his paw. How could she not? She'd never seen any other numa do this. The only Numa she'd ever touched was Jedrek, and that was when she pounced on him.
She looked up at Sizzle as to ask, What?. She felt like she was missing something. What if she gave him her paw, and he pushed her, or something to that sort? For a second she thought about it. Then thinking that he wouldn't do anything she slowly placed her paw in his. "Uhmm.." She looked still confused, what was suppose to be happening?

Sizzle couldn't help but laugh lightly, "It's a pawshake. People do it when they meet each other, and I kinda picked up on it" he explained. He slowly closed his paw around hers and shook it softly. "Its a way of showing an endearing sort of friendly greeting" he finished off, taking his paw away from hers. "Anyhow, Arachne huh? Awesome name, more unique than any I've ever heard before and yet, I quite like it. Alright then Ara, what is it you'd like to do then, hm?" he asked in a perky and friendly manner. He'd hoped she wouldn't mind the shortening/nickname he just said, it was rather a habit of his to give other numa's friendly nicknames and such. It was how he let someone know he was cool with them.

Arachne looked at her paw after he let go. Her paw slightly sweaty from the handshake. She looked back at him, still slightly confused. Placing her hand back next to her other one she gave a slight smile. Goofy smile, anyways. She looked quite silly.
"Oh, uh, well..." She paused. "Perhaps we could do something you enjoy. " She liked learning new things, and she hated to do something others didn't like. If she didn't like it, she'd have never shown that she didn't. "I mean, I enjoy trying new things." She said.

"Me?" Sizzle proclaimed, "What I like?" He put a paw to his chin and pondered. "I really don't know. I just kinda...find all sorts of ways to amuse myself..." he began again. The fact that she was a female who liked new things opened up a couple new opportunities, so he decided on something finally. "How about we try something that sounds fun, that neither of us have ever done before" Sizzle continued, "Does that sound good?" he inquired.

It sounded reasonable. Though, she had no clue what they would do. There was millions of things she hadn't done yet. She poundered for a second. "Well, it certainly sounds fun." She gave him a sweet smile. She scratched her left arm. "Though, there is a ton of things we both probably haven't done. Perhaps we'll need to decided on something we both want to try. "

Sizzle nodded, "Now comes the problem of finding something to do!" he chuckled, "Um...I know I haven't gone swimming ever, nor have I explored any of the caves in the mountain range. What about you?" he asked. Continuing to sit and ponder what he'd never done that would be fun to do together.
