The Lodge on Ar' Idil fulfills the role of the Community Centre on Cetalu, but is a little larger to accomodate the bigger population. There is a kitchen, bathroom facilities, storage area, and spare rooms as well as a large common area and plenty of chairs / tables to lounge on. In one area there are some pin boards with information on them about the Aerandir and beside the door is a "postbox".

The centre kitchen runs on gas, and clean water is pumped from a well underneath the building. Supplies are left for the guardians if they need them. There is a large table for communal dining if the residents feel like getting together, and toys and such for when there are finally gryphons about.

The building itself is made out of wood, in the style of a log cabin, but larger and sturdier. The floors are polished wood with no scuff marks to indicate use, and the place smells clean, fresh and new. There are several large windows to let light in, and several large lights suspended from the ceiling for night-time.

Alyosha pushed the door to the Lodge open. It didn't look as if anyone had been here yet but he guessed that they were a little too busy at the moment. Walking forward, he then turned to face Anthony. "Everything you need should be in here, you're free to choose which of the rooms you'd like." he motioned towards the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens etc. before walking over to the large breakfast bar on top of which were a stack of official papers, notes and forms.

"Some of the guardians must be ready to have their items placed together. You've gone over the procedure, yes? Here's a guide to filing out the neccessary forms and a ledger to write the names of the new aerandir and their types." he said all in a rush.

He hoped this new man wasn't taking on a little too much all at once. He seemed keen enough, though, and had been one of the few to step forward for the duty. Alyosha suspected he might have a motive but kept that thought at the back of his mind for the moment.

The accomodation seemed somewhat rough and ready but had a countryside feel, what some liked to call 'homely'. The facilities seemed reasonable enough, better than some he had been made to endure on the continent and, afterall, he was going to be allowed to study a creature which had previously been thought extinct. That alone made abiding this slightly colonial style setup worthwile.

Stepping forward to inspect the pile of notes he realised many of them were those which he'd looked at before. "Yes." he answered when Alyosha asked if he had gone over the procedure before. "Several times, in fact." he added, putting a slight tone with it which would, hopefully, suggest that his competancy should not be questioned again. He was quite capable of writing a letter and sticking a feather into a bottle!

"I guess you should be going back to your own duties?" he asked, placing his notebook away now that he was inside. "I'm sure I can find my way around here quite easily so there's no point in holding you back further."

"I guess I should" he said, getting the distinct feeling Anthony was trying to get rid of him. He guessed the new administrator wanted to get on his own two feet and maybe his being there would make it seem like he was being tested or something. Anyway, he thought he probably should be getting back he'd been gone nearly a week.

He headed towards the door, waving a final farewell as he walked out "remember you can contact me at any time with the radio" he shouted as a last thought, heading back home.

Now that Alyosha was gone he could perhaps get on with something. After pushing his bag into one of the vacant rooms, he went back to the table, picked up a thick sheaf of papers and headed towards the door.

Houses were to be inspected and he had the neccessary forms to fill in for those which were considered 'ready'.

The door to the Lodge creaked slightly as Chao pushed it open gently and stepped in, looking around tenatively. She taken to wandering around the small village that day, looking at the inhabited and uninhabited houses and the general area, trying to get a better sense of her new home. She was fairly certain this was the Lodge, a place open to all the Guardians. Some part of her had hoped that her neighbors might be about but it didn't look like that was the case as the center appeared empty.

Shrugging to herself she ran a hand reflexively over the covered jars in her pack and headed deeper into the lodge. As long as she was here she might as well look around.

A few minutes afterward, Jizzy strode in confidently. She seemed to strut as if she had been here for ages, isnted of for the first time. The bag containing Tobias's jars was slung over her shoulder and she patted it softly, as she had been doing so in regular intervals while she walked here.

"Nice place they have here.."

She thought out loud, pushing her sunglasses up from sliding down her nose.

"Anyone home?"

She called out, jokingly, not really expecting a reply.

A moment later another door opened and Chao's head popped out, "'allo?" she called back, looking for the source of the voice. Sighting Jizzy she waved and smiled warmly.

"Ah!" she paused, trying to remember the woman's name, "Jizzy, right? From the ferry and the walk over."

"Yah, Jizzy's the name. You were... hmm. Chao, correct?"

She said, waving back to her and smiling. She hoped she hadn't mistaken the name. SHe began to stride over looking around, taking the Lodge.

"Nice place, but kinda plain..."

She said, half to herself and half to Chaos. She often talked that way.

"Chao, yes," she said with a small nod. At Jizzy's comment she looked around and shrugged, "eh, yeah, it doesn't feel 'lived in' or anything, does it?"

Walking out of the room she'd been investigating, she brushed a errant hair away from her eyes. "It's probably still really new, you know? I don't think this island was really inhabited by humanoids before the band of new Guardians showed up, if all the uninhabited houses are anything to go by."

"True.. We seem to be the first people to really live here..."

Jizzy said, pushing up her glasses again. They seemed to love sliding down her nose, or she simply enjoyed pushing them up.

"Well I'm pretty sure once the Aerandir merge this place will be bustling, or at least a bit messier."

She commented chuckling softly, peering into many of the rooms in turn.

She laughed quietly as well and nodded, "definately."

She tilted her head gently and peered back over to Jizzy, "did you get a letter from a 'Anthony Blakewell' as well?" She hadn't even seen Sin as of late thus she had no idea if the others had recieved similar letters or no or if any of them had had a chance to meet this Blakewell fellow.

"Yeah, I did. Mispelled his name by accident on the reply letter too. I'm such a dunce."

She said, laughing at her own stupidity. She peered into a room and made a double take, smiling broadly.

"Hey, what do you say we break out the kitchen?"

She said, moving into the room, smiling around. Hmmm... What to cook, what to cook.

She couldn't help a small laugh at that as well and smirked slightly, "ah, another victim of the typo bunnies," she murmured solemnly with a small shake of her head.

At Jizzy's suggestion she shrugged and followed the other girl into the kitchen, promptly opening a cubboard and looking at the contents "sure. What do you feel like making?"

Jizzy peered over Chao's shoulder and smiled.

"Perfect!"

She said, reacheing in and grabbing flour, eggs, powdered milk and other ingredients.

"We shall prepare the first ever batch of cookie on Ar'Idil!"
