As most of you know, Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Here is a place to post some of those helpful recipes to kickstart your day. As long as it has something to do with Breakfast from whole meals to drinks on the go, if it's good for breakfast it's good enough for here.

Country Grits and Sausage Casserole
Skill Level 2 Ease Level 1.5 Prep Time 15 minutes Baking time 50 minutes
Ingredients 2 cups water 1/2 cup quick-cooking grits, uncooked 3-1/2 cups shredded extra-sharp Cheddar cheese 4 eggs, lightly beaten 1 cup milk 1/2 teaspoon dried whole thyme 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder 1-1/2 pounds mild bulk sausage, cooked crumbled and drained tomatoes and parsley
Bring water to a boil; stir in grits. Return to boil; reduce heat to low and cook 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add cheese, stirring until melted. Combine eggs, milk, thyme, and garlic powder; stir well. Gradually stir about 1/4 hot grits mixture into egg mixture, then add to remaining hot mixture, stirring constantly. Stir in sausage. Pour into a 11 x 7 x 1-1/2 inch baking pan sprayed with Pam non-stick spray. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until set. Garnish with tomato wedges and fresh parsley. Serves: 6

Homestyle Breakfast Burrito
Skill Level 1.5 Ease Level 1 Prep Time 15 minutes
4 pre-made hash brown patties 4 eggs Grated cheese Garlic salt 1/2 pound pork sausage 1 T. cooking oil Flour tortillas
Directions: Brown sausage in a large skillet, drain and then set aside. Next, brown the hash brown patties. Then join the sausage and hash brown patties together and add eggs and garlic salt. Continue to brown and stir food for another 5 min. Serve on a warm flour tortilla and sprinkle cheese on top!
