As the clock strikes midnight, the music in the tent abruptly cuts off, leaving only the noises of the jungle beyond the tent and whatever noise the occupants make.

The lights of the tent slowly dim. When the lights of the tent finally fade away to nothing, another set of smaller red lights flash to life outside of the tent that lead off through the jungle to the North.

There is no set path, but the illumination of the soft red lights even most of the still humans can pick their way through the foliage if they so choose. However, the light also ruins the night vision that any of the more animalistic islanders possess.

The small lights are spaced one about every ten feet, previously hidden by foliage. And after about 100 feet into the jungle, there's a hissing noise as fog machines begin to spout a thick mist, accompanying the rest of the trip.

((I want to get a walking order. Please post/talk in the main thread the order that your characters will be walking))

Kikue picked her way along, following the strange balls of light that seemed to have been left out with the intention of them being followed. Some sense in the back of her mind was slightly annoyed that she couldn't see as well in the dark -- something she hadn't even realized she could do until now. She was thankful she hadn't worn an elaborate outfit; she hadn't thought she'd be creeping through the jungle, but it was easier in her cosplay outfit.

I wonder what this is supposed to be...

The mechanical hissing sound made her freeze on the spot, her whispers twitching. She looked down, seeing the faint silvery fog swirling around her paws. It felt cold, a welcome feeling, but something about it was strange. She stayed on guard, walking forward more cautiously. It was a party, right...?

Alec creeped along, realizing he was a little too close to the front of the pack than what he would've liked. The fact that he was carting Billy in front gave him slight reassurance that he'd have ample time to react to anything he'd see or hear or encounter. The red lights were mesmorizing and the atmosphere was bringing a certain tightness of anxiety to the teen's chest though he continued on in silence awaiting the end of the line.

Sid stayed close to Alec and Billy, close enough that he could reach over and slip his cane out of the drugged octopus's tentacles. If something happened, he would likely need it for more than walking. His cane safely back in hand, he stayed close to Alec and Billy. At first, he said nothing for fear of... breaking the mood? Drawing attention? He didn't even know.

He couldn't stay silent once the fog started, however. "Trippy."

Pyroth was trying his best to see with his nose rather than his eyes, the eerie red lights blurring around him in a confusing mishmash of colour. Add that to the alcohol and he felt as though he was wandering through a humid drug trip. It reminded him of driving at night along winding dark roads with only the red cat's eye reflective lights to lead your way, winding on and on through the blackness.

He could hear others nearby, every sound seeming louder in the absence of music, every breath reminding him of the breath of prey and predators he'd met out here before...

No. He couldn't let the lines blur like that. As long as there were lights he was in civilisation, this was /not/ his territory and wouldn't be tonight. He didn't like it one bit, the whole thing seemed worrying and not quite as innocent fun as the party had been...

Still, he walked, trapped in his slightly tipsy swirl of undergrowth scents, people nearby and those blurring, blinding lights.

"Wha's... goin'... on? Where're... we goin'? M'no'... ready fer th'lake again... don' wanna' leave..." The octopus babbled, not quite sure what was going on, exaclty, nor where he was being lead. "Oy... kid? An'... there y'are..." He smiled up at Sid, oblivious to any horrors that might be on their way.

Oz found the ground beneath him to be really unsteady. Or maybe these gorilla boots just weren't made for walking on jungle earth. Still, it was all quite intriguing and exciting, and very atmospheric with the red lighting. He hardly knew any of these people though, and horrific thoughts, inspired by horror movies of course, began to flood his brain. What if they were all psychopaths? And they were gonna initiate a huge bloody ritual?

Well, maybe he should get names before he carried on with thoughts of monsters jumping out of the bushes. He lightly tapped the fella in front of him, the one in the suit.

"Hi...ummm sorry to have bumped into you," he mumbled through his mask. "I'm Osbourne."

This felt...weird...introducing himself whilst walking towards what could possibly be something very nasty indeed.

Meanwhile, Newt gave a cry of alarm, hopping after Thom as he was dragged, "Wh-where are w-we-? wh-what's..?" Then it occured to him just who the princess in question dragging him was. "T-t-t-thomas??" He had to hold his plastic crown to his head for fear of loosing it as he lept.

F, in his suit, ended up shuffling along with the crowd, and slotted into the line behind Richard, still completely bemused. "Err.." he began, looking about to see if any of the faces around him held any answers.

"Whuh?" The flea-man knew that asking much more would lead to confusion. Not about the situation, but about what the hell he was trying to say. Those flea mouthparts weren't exactly forgiving.

Angelina looked around for Ambrose, wondering where he wandered off to. She looked down the path and the growing group of people, her curiosity bubbling. She waited around for Ambrose for a few minutes, but eventually headed down the path, poking along and keeping to herself. She hugged her cloack around herself and headed out towards the jungle.

Zach followed the sounds of other people tromping through the underbrush. There were lights, pretty red lights, all over the place. How odd.

The fog that slowly filtered into his strangely limited view didn't bother him, but it did make him sneeze, after which he stumbled up to a tree and emptied the sloshed-around contents of his stomach. Alcohol...

Once he regained his balance and cleaned off his mouth, he continued, a bite carelessly. Some hint of a warning entered his mind, that the jungle was a dangerous place. But there were so many people... how could this be dangerous?

Kikue could hear the ever present sounds of other people that had started down the path after her. She sniffed the air, recognizing a few of the more familiar smells. The ones she had never smelt before weighed a bit on her mind. How many other people were there, anyway? The island...

A particular scent struck her. It was close -- very close. She recognized it, but couldn't place a name. Being alone didn't frighten her, but her senses were on overdrive alert. The jungle had always felt confining, and it worse now than before. She detested the closeness of everything. The fog made them more so.

She slowed her pace a little, shielding her eyes from the lights. Were many people following these? Sounds like it...

There were already several islanders shuffling along the path ahead of them. Like the others, Gaius looked around with fascination at the red lights casting an eerie atmosphere over the whole place. Long shadows cast by the islanders as they passed by danced over the trees. It was like something from an island horror movie.

Gaius gripped the hilt of his sheathed sword with his free hand, ears alert as he listened to the jungle, though it was hard to distinguish anything over the murmuring noise of the crowd. At least he was toward the center. That was safer. That was good.

He cast a smile over his shoulder at Marshall, and the gorilla man behind him. "Heh, quite a set-up, huh?"

At least where he was, he could protect the others behind him.

There was a large man in a gorilla suit in front of him. They had a gorilla, didn't they? Wouldn't that be an ironic coincidence; unless he knew.

Ginerva did not dwell long on this. What she preferred to concentrate on what the marvelous atmosphere that had been set up. And though she was nearly as oblivious as the subjects were, she was intirgued and excited.

She smiled and bit her lip. Maybe an opportunity for mischeif could arise. Maybe Sabin had planned one just for her! Her moment to shine!
And to scare the snot out of the defenseless twits who were now her travelling comapanions.

Not too far in, a large spiderweb greets whomever is walking in the front, in this case Kikue. However, enough residue is left, especially because of the lack of a set walking path, that many of the sticky strands also hit Pyroth, as well as Billy with Alec. With the placement of the lights there is no warning before walking straight into the sticky, clingy substance.
