OMF SPACE FORCES EQUIPMENT

Pilot's Environmental Suit
User Image
Features:
Twenty-Four Hour Oxygen Supply In Absolute Vacuum, Oxygen Recycling And Scrubber In Low Atmosphere Environment. There is also internal plumbing connections to allow for waste removal that can recycle wastes for up to one week. The backpack contains the oxygen supply and a two small thrusters that have enough fuel for up to five full minutes of burn but generally are used for small two second bursts to allow for emergency movement in space. Another feature of the suit is that pressing outer rim of the chest bio monitor sensor a small electrical charge through a bio luminescent chemical in the shoulder straps and in the backs of the gloves allowing for up to a six hour life. There is also a control panel on the wrists and chest of the suit.
The features of the helmet include a HUD display.

Enviromental Combat Power Suit
User Image
Features:
OM Space Forces troopers are outfitted with Power Suits which are essentially lightweight armored space suits that allow the trooper to fight in environments and atmospheres that would otherwise be deadly to humans. The suit is bulky and resembles a broad-shouldered gorilla, but it is also highly maneuverable (being lined with pressure receptors which detect and enhance muscle movements). Backpack jump jets allow a trooper to leap tall buildings and move over terrain at high speed. Jump jets are usually used as breaking thrusters during orbital drops, thus most of their fuel is expended before landing. Jump Jets can also be used underwater though the trooper cannot move much faster than an unarmored swimmer. On the helmet are mounted high-powered lights and a flip-down visor that has a high-tech targeting and ranging assessment display. IFF info is displayed automatically. The visor has zoom capabilities as well as an infrared display that can also be used for target locking "smart" ammo. A visor can also act as a diagnostic tool - external feeds mounted on a suit's chest can allow fellow troopers to instantly assess one's medical condition. A periscope sensor can be attached to the helmet to provide a peak at the enemy from out of cover. Short-range comm links are built in and can be augmented with surface-to-orbit radios. A Power Suit does not float! If necessary, a submersed trooper can inflate a life-vest that will float the suit to the surface. Replaceable power cells and air canisters can extend the service time of a suit. A normal charge of air lasts for about four hours. A first aid kit and a small emergency suit patch kit are also standard equipment. A locator beacon is integral equipment. The Power suit also has retractable skis for traversing snow and ice.

The standard issue rifle of the OM Space Forces for ground operation and is a shoulder fired, fully automatic, multi-purpose weapon. It can utilize a wide variety of ammunition clips including explosive-tipped bullets, grenades, laser charges, etc. A self-contained firing chamber allows the gun to be fired in almost any atmosphere, even underwater and the vacuum of space. Its most useful feature is "smart" ammo that coordinates with a trooper's helmet visor for targeting purposes. This feature is often used in conjunction with the grenade launcher and allows a trooper to select a target visually and then release the grenade, trusting the smart ammo to seek and destroy the target. A detachable scope allows for sniper operations.

Vehicle Type:
Refurbished Fleet Command Battleship

Crew:
Operations
Ship Crew - 1900
Officers - 124/Enlisted - 1696

Combat/Support
Combat/Support - 4900

Officers - 319/Enlisted - 4581

Gross Dimensions:
Height 870 meters
Length 4024 meters
Width 601 meters
Weight 198,000,000 metric tons Standard Operating

Power Systems:
Main Power - OTEC Modified Worquli-Quatafilla ZT413 Reflex furnace cluster. The power plant of a Neo-Nupetiet Vergnitzs-Bis-class vessel can nominally deliver up to 153.8 Petawatts of power, and can operate for 75 minutes at maximum power before overheat initiates auto-shutdown.

Maneuvering Thrusters (115) - Worquli-Quatafilla fusion-plasma reaction thruster clusters with steerable nozzles. There are 6 on the forward and aft dorsal hull, 24 on the central dorsal hull, 4 on the forward and aft sides and 16 in the central sides, 8 thrusters low in the nose, 8 mounted on the forward ventral, 3 in the central ventral and 6 in the aft ventral.

Reaction Mass Thrusters (6) - Six OTEC Modified Worquli-Quatafilla VTsT fusion-plasma reaction thrusters with energizer mounted in two horizontal rows en echelon of three in the stern of the ship.
There are no secondary thrusters; breaking maneuvers are made with the main thrusters using exhaust deflectors opening in the dorsal and ventral engine sections.

Anti-Gravity System - Worquli-Quatafilla R360 Anti-Gravity System

Space Fold - Worquli-Quatafilla NP388 space fold.

Weapons Systems:
Mk. 10 medium converging beam cannon (6); The main anti-ship weapons are six heavy particle cannon. Four are mounted in the nose, with the phased antenna for the remote mecha control system acting as flip-up covers. Two more are mounted on the upper forward hull, near to the upper deck edge. The particle beam has an effective range of 300,000 km. and a full power discharge of 4.5 Terajoules, equivalent to 900 tons of TNT. Although the cannon could be fired at lower power settings (and commensurate increases in the rate of fire) the highest power setting was typical in combat. The rate of fire at this setting was approximately ten salvos per minute.

Mk. 8 Medium Converging Beam Cannon (40); Turrets with effectively two Zentraedi standard particle beam cannons each. Each barrel can fire 4,000 MJ of particle energy every 5 seconds, or less powerful discharges at a higher rate of fire.

The effective range is 300,000 km.

This was an improvement on the standard Zentraedi particle turret system, which suffered from no armor protection, as well as from unwanted hit dispersal on a target. The new design featured essentially three of the older cannons into one, heavily armored turret. This increased resilience and decreased hit dispersal greatly.

Oerlikon Model 486 Paladin Anti-Air/Mecha Defensive single-barrel light converging beam turrets (17 cool ; These weapons fire a 500 mJ burst every three seconds. These turrets are scattered over the hull of the vessel behind recessed panels.

Bofors Mk.8 Ballistic missile launcher box (72); there is the Mk.8 missile launcher is a huge dual-quintuple shot box missile launcher for the large obelisk missiles that has an on mount radar system, after firing all it's missiles it is retracted into the hull and manipulator arms reload the launchers, this takes approximately five minutes. The ready magazine holds 100 reload missiles. These fire the large Obelisk missiles.

Bofors Mk.9 Ballistic missile launch tubes (15 cool ; recessed in the hulls of the vessel are missile tubes that are reloaded by a large conveyor system and can be reloading in twenty seconds. Since this launch system uses a conveyor instead of manipulators to reload the system the ready magazines for each deca have 250 missiles stored. These fire the large Obelisk missiles.

PINPOINT BARRIER DEFENSE SYSTEM- Originally developed by researchers onboard the SDF-01 Macross during Space War One, the Pinpoint Barrier System is a standard defense system on board all UN Spacy starships, including the Algenicus Class Cruisers. The system generates four small disc-shaped force fields that can be positioned anywhere along the ship to deflect missiles, energy beams or projectiles. Each pinpoint barrier is about 200 ft (61 m) in length and can absorb up to 5,000 mJ in damage, which then regenerates within four seconds. The barriers can also be layered on top of each other to generate a field which provides 20,000 mJ and can even deflect heavy particle beams (usually).

The four barriers are controlled by operators in the command tower of the carrier. These operators are instructed to defend (1) the command tower, bridge, and sensor array, (2) main engines, (3) hangar bay, and (4) weapon systems, in that order. The operators primarily concentrate on defending the ship against larger spacecraft and leave defense against mecha attacking the carrier to the VF pilots.

Electronic/Sensor Systems:
ANTIGRAVITY PROPULSION SYSTEM- The ship is equipped with an anti-gravity propulsion system used for planetary landings and liftoffs. The system is good for vertical ascent/descent only and can lift the ship at speeds of up to 1,320 feet (400 m) per minute. The system will function so long as the main energy system (in the rear 1/3 of the ship) can supply energy to it.

HYPERSPACE COMMUNICATIONS- The ship is equipped with a hyperspace communications relay allowing faster-than-light communication between the ships and other Inspection Army forces.

LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEMS- The ship has sufficient life support to provide breathable air and comfortable temperatures for people for up to 20 years (air was recycled). In an emergency the life support system could support up to several times the normal amount of people at one time. The ship contained enough food and water onboard to support the crew for up to 5 years (with recycling).

LONG-RANGE TRACKING SENSORS- The ships command tower was equipped with a complex sensor system that could track and identify up to 1,500 craft simultaneously. The system had a 2,000 mile/3,200 km range.

SPACE FOLD SYSTEM- For FTL propulsion, the Algenicus was equipped with an fold system capable of propelling the ship through hyperspace at speeds up to 3.28x10^10 mps (5.25x10^10 kmps), or 1 light year per 6 minutes. The range of the fold drive is theoretically unlimited except by the life expectancy of the spacecraft (which is unknown).

SUBLIGHT ENGINES- As a backup to the Fold System, the ship was equipped with impulse engines that could propel the craft at speeds up to 0.24 speed of light (38,400 miles per second) in space. Note that these engines were mainly intended for rapid movement inside a planetary system and are not suited for long voyages between star systems. In a planetary atmosphere the ship is limited to speeds of Mach 2.0 maximum due to hull stress.

SUBSPACE MASS SENSORS- As part of the ship's sensor systems, the fortress was equipped with subspace sensors that could essentially instantly detect mass readings and movement of objects up to 1 AU (93 million miles) distant from the carrier. Readings taken with the subspace sensors are not very detailed (-25% penalty when trying to identify a detected object) and cannot detect objects of less than 60,000 kg.

Micro/Macronization Chambers- Most flagships carry chambers capable of shrinking or enlarging most genetic structures that are similar to that of the Meltrandi/Zentraedi.

Mecha Hangar:
There Are Numerous Hangar And Mecha Bay Around The Vessel-

There are circa 3800~ OMF Space Force Mecha

These Include-

Circa 2600~ F-202SS Apollos
Circa 1200~ Assault Craft (Fighter Drones, Fighter Jets)

Officers - 68/Enlisted - 972

Gross Dimensions:
Height 504 meters
Length 1510 meters
Width 483 meters
Weight 7,770,000 metric tons Standard Operating
6,250,000 metric tons Empty
2,500,000 metric tons Gunship

Power Systems:
Main Power - OTEC/General Galaxy CA615 Reflex furnace cluster. The power plant of a New Macross class vessel can nominally deliver up to 33.82 Petawatts of power, and can operate for 75 minutes at maximum power before overheat initiates auto-shutdown.

Maneuvering Reaction Thrusters (10) - Shinnakasu Agar FPR10 Fusion-plasma reaction thrusters mounted two mounted forward and aft of each lower launch deck hull, two mounted in the rear of each side sponson, two mounted in the front of the large lower stabilization fin.

Reaction Mass Thrusters (2) - Shinnakasu Agar FPR121 fusion-plasma reaction thrusters with energizer, These engines are mounted in a single block in each leg/rear block.

Anti-Gravity System - OTEC A60 Anti-Gravity System.

Space Fold - OTEC/General Galaxy/Shinnakasu CD129 Fold System.

Weapons Systems:
OTEC Model 4 Heavy Converging Beam Cannon (1); This heaviest of ship-borne weapons has an effective range of 600,000 km; at full power it has the effective yield of a 130 MT fusion weapon. Unlike the Zentraedi Monitor and Flagship, or the battle fortresses and their derivatives, this weapon, based upon the most up-to-date technologies, does not require a split-boom. The weapon is located in a detachable gunship style vessel that mounts between the two catamaran style hulls.

Mk. 8 Medium Converging Beam Cannon (30); Turrets with effectively two Zentraedi standard particle beam cannons each. There is fifteen turrets mounted in the sides of each hull just below the lower lip of the flight deck, they are mounted in a recessed well protecting them when not in use.

Oerlikon Model 486 Paladin Anti-Air/Mecha Defensive single-barrel light converging beam turrets (134); These weapons fire a 500 mJ burst every three seconds. These turrets are scattered over the hull of the vessel behind recessed panels.

Bofors Mk.8 Ballistic missile launcher box (4); there is the Mk.8 missile launcher is a huge dual-quintuple shot box missile launcher for the large obelisk missiles that has an on mount radar system, after firing all it's missiles it is retracted into the hull and manipulator arms reload the launchers, this takes approximately five minutes. One is mounted on either side of the bridge tower, and one is mounted on either side of the main flight deck. The ready magazine holds 100 reload missiles. These fire the large Obelisk missiles.

Bofors Mk.9 Ballistic missile launch tubes (40); recessed in the hulls of the vessel are forty single shot missile tubes that are reloaded by a large conveyor system and can be reloading in twenty seconds. The tubes are arranged in four dual rows of five, two deca's are mounted behind the bridge and there is a single deca mounted in each side of the main hull. Since this launch system uses a conveyor instead of manipulators to reload the system the ready magazines for each deca have 250 missiles stored. These fire the large Obelisk missiles.

This field will stop all solids and directed energy weapons (except lasers through a narrow band). However, excess energy which cannot be shunted from the field into the monopolar heat sinks will be stored in the virtual structure of the field itself. The storage wattage is high but not infinite, and when the barrier overloads the field will discharge the stored energetic particles. This discharge will have the force of a high-yield (>45 MT) fusion bomb. However, as the discharged energetic particles' vectors will be away from the field and its generating vessel, the vessel will survive, though it will suffer severe damage to its electronics and power systems, and will not be battle worthy until repairs are made.

Mk. 8 Medium Converging Beam Cannon (60); Turrets with effectively two Zentraedi standard particle beam cannons each. There is fifteen turrets mounted in the sides of each hull just below the lower lip of the flight deck, they are mounted in a recessed well protecting them when not in use.

Oerlikon Model 486 Paladin Anti-Air/Mecha Defensive single-barrel light converging beam turrets (264); These weapons fire a 500 mJ burst every three seconds. These turrets are scattered over the hull of the vessel behind recessed panels.

Bofors Mk.8 Ballistic missile launcher box (24); there is the Mk.8 missile launcher is a huge dual-quintuple shot box missile launcher for the large obelisk missiles that has an on mount radar system, after firing all it's missiles it is retracted into the hull and manipulator arms reload the launchers, this takes approximately five minutes. One is mounted on either side of the bridge tower, and one is mounted on either side of the main flight deck. The ready magazine holds 100 reload missiles. These fire the large Obelisk missiles.

Bofors Mk.9 Ballistic missile launch tubes (90); recessed in the hulls of the vessel are ninety single shot missile tubes that are reloaded by a large conveyor system and can be reloading in twenty seconds.

Iapetus-Class Gunboat

Vehicle Type:
Medium Monitor

Crew:
Operations 3500
Officers - 230/Enlisted - 3270

Combat/Support 3300
Officers - 215/Enlisted - 3085

Gross Dimensions:
Height 312 meters
Length 1210 meters
Width 339 meters
Weight 18,000,000 metric tons

Power Systems:
Main Power - Makaro Bulz SAZT2010 Reflex furnace cluster. The power plant of a Inspection Army Gunboat can nominally deliver up to 48.1 Petawatts of power, and can operate for seventy-five minutes at maximum power before overheat initiates auto shutdown.
Fold System - Makaro Bulz SANP1670 space fold. This system normally generates a hull-conformal fold, but is capable of spherical folds and in conjunction with other vessels capable of expanding it's fold system and enveloping large objects, however this causes strain on both the power systems and hull.
Maneuvering Thrusters - 14 Makaro Bulz SAFP fusion-plasma reaction thruster clusters with steerable nozzles. Mounted in 2 clusters of six in the rear leg sections. And a dual cluster under the main body.
Reaction Mass Thrusters - 6 Makaro Bulz SAVW24 fusion-plasma reaction thruster with energizer mounted in the rear of the ship in two triple-clusters.
Secondary Thrusters (24) - Makaro Bulz SAVW18 fusion-plasma reaction thruster with energizer mounted in the rear of the vessel in banks of six on either side of the leg mounts.

Weapons Systems:
Makral Ever 248 Reflex Cannon (1); This weapon forms the forward part of the ship. The two forward booms slide and rotate to the side, and a particle beam generation then takes place between the two booms. This weapon is the most modern, smallest and most powerful of the larger Reflex cannon. The effects of this weapon against planets are equal to the heat and blast effects of the detonation of a fusion weapon of 65 megatons, if fired at full power. If utilized against starships, the largest vessels can be destroyed by the leakage of the beam. A direct hit will vaporize the target vessel. The weapon can also be set to a wider dispersal. While not nearly as effective as a tight beam against warships, it is capable of clearing a wide area of fighters and other mecha.

Makral Deim 773 Particle Cannon ( 8 ); As the Reflex cannon cannot be fired fast enough to be effective against multiple heavy opponents, the main anti-ship weapons are 8 heavy particle cannon. They are built as a large turret with two barrels projecting from the front, but as with the Reflex cannon and the smaller Zentraedi cannons, the beam is generated between the barrels. Eight of these weapons are mounted on the ship: one on the side and on the dorsal of each cannon boom, one on the dorsal of each leg, and one on the forward dorsal and ventral side of the main hull. As with many other Zentraedi ships, the aft ventral segment lacked heavy firepower. The power supply to these cannons is a new design, and incorporates an accumulation system that can store sufficient power for 8 full power salvos. The accumulators can replenish at effectively six full power salvos per minute. The beam has an effective range of 300,000 km and a full power discharge of 2.5 terajoules, equivalent to 500 tons of TNT. Although the cannon could be fired at lower power settings (and commensurate increases in the rate of fire) the highest power setting was typical in combat.

Makral Deim 869 Particle Cannon (1); The Macross-class mounted an unique weapon on the extreme forward edge of the center hull. This weapon was a three barreled particle beam weapon with half the yield of the larger beams, but no less than three times the rate-of-fire. This weapon, which Tirolian Scientist Triumvirates hoped would replace the Mk.1 particle cannon one day, was to be field-tested on the Macross class prototypes prior to series production. However, the general stagnation of the Robotech Empire caused the project to be abandoned. The particle cannon had an effective range of 300,000 km, a full power discharge of 1.25 terajoules and, while using an accumulation system in its power supply like the 773 cannons, could recharge for 12 full power salvo's per minute due to improvements in beam generation and accumulator efficiency.

Makral Mossil 996-3 Particle Cannon (16); Turrets with effectively three Zentraedi standard particle beam cannons each. Two are on each of the ventral hips, one on each of the dorsal legs, dorsal and ventral center body and the upper dorsal shoulders, four are mounted on the shoulders proper and two are mounted forward of the side-mounted large particle beams on the cannon booms. Each barrel can fire 3,000 MJ of particle energy every 5 seconds, or less powerful discharges at a higher rate of fire.

Gluph Tacim 56 Heavy Railgun (4); Mass driver cannons in single turrets are mounted on the shoulders. The cannons can accelerate a 225 kg projectile to velocities approaching 140 kps. The ammunition supply for each cannon is 3,000 projectiles. The turrets can rotate in the horizontal plane through 200 degrees (140 for a Terran ship with attached carriers), and elevate 15 degrees upward. Combined with the capacity for 360 degree rotation at the shoulder joint, these weapons can be unmasked on all possible target bearings. The impact energy of one projectile is 2.2 TJ (0.44 kT), and the rate of fire is 40 shots per minute. The available ammunition consists of KCP Kinetic Core Penetrating (hull penetration rounds), KPI Kinetic Penetrating Incendiary (plasma incendiary rounds) and MKEP Multiple Kinetic Energy Penetrator (Flechette cluster rounds), the latter as anti-mecha formation weapons. This cannon was intended to be used as a possible complement to the heavy beam weapons, but the designers turned it into an area-defense weapon against mecha as well, though it is not as effective as a main gun salvo set on wide dispersal. In addition, this accurate weapon can also be used in pin-point attacks against ground targets, though only with KCP rounds as the KPI and MKEP rounds burn up on atmospheric re-entry.

Deuawhaug Rasar 89 (12); A Reloadable Silo Launch System (RSLS), or as it is better known, a torpedo tube, capable of firing large anti-ship and ground bombardment torpedoes. The tubes can reload in five to ten seconds, and have a 40 round magazine close-by. These launchers are located around the command citadel. The missiles used are the SSA-1 Sniper (Lojredbeth Deuawhaug) and the SSA-2 Scrapper (Letkes Deuawhaug) missiles. The former is a nuclear missile with a 326 kT reaction warhead, the latter is a conventional tipped missile with a warhead of 2.3 metric tons. Both missiles are optimized for anti-ship strikes in deep space, but can be used in orbital bombardment modes or in an atmosphere.

Touwhaug Rasar 481 ( 48 ); A missile launcher mounted in a pop-up turret, firing anti-mecha/missile missiles, though the projectiles can guide on point-blank enemy ships. When the missiles are released they are already on their intercept vectors, or very close to them. Each turret has a reload time of 6 seconds and a magazine with a 100 round capacity. They are mounted for spherical coverage. The missile system used is the SAA-1 Granite (Gliquoun Touwhaug), a weapon with a conventional blast fragmentation warhead of 278 kg and an atmospheric range of 112 km at a speed of Mach 7.5.

Barrier Defense System; An advanced force field system which covers the full four pi steradians around the ship with a yellow-greenish force field (or if desired, only part of the ship). After the SDF-1 lost her space fold, shunting was limited to the secondary heat-sinks, increasing the likelihood of a barrier overload.

Bofors Mk.146 Ballistic missile tubes (42); the tubes are mounted around the hull of the vessel. Each tube fires the Convex ballistic missile. Each tube can purge and fire a missile every three seconds, and the drum magazine for each tube holds a hundred missiles
