"Stop worrying! You'll be fine..." Feather patted Alex on the back in an encouraging fashion, and finished fastening the plastic armor to his small body. "It's only in front of us! No pressure, little guy!" She stepped away from him, admiring her work. The two were sitting in Feather's living room, mere feet away from a giant bedsheet propped up by the ceiling which was to serve as a curtain for the performance. Nearby was the couch, on which was a few buckets of popcorn and packets of candy for the little 'party' after the play.
"O-Okay..." Alex replied meekly, staring down at his feet.
"Oh, chin up Alex! Raven and Bird will be here soon!"

"Raven! Cut it out, we're supposed to be there!"
The Eden in question was examining herself in front of the mirror, a very sour look on her face. She was wearing the dress. And boy, was she not liking it.
"C'mon!"
Doing a little twirl, Raven watched as the fabric swirled around her in a slightly fetching way. She hoped Alexander and his Momma would be pleased; everyone else seemed to be.
"RAVEN!"
And so, she was snatched up, and they were off at very high speeds to the designated place where the performance was to be performed.
Bird popped open the doors, also carrying the drinks for the party, and scurried in. Raven followed, hesitantly entering and clutching Nana like a lifeline again. Her blue butterfly wings, attatched with excruciating care, were shimmering, the glitter she had added giving an extra effect.
She saw Alex, and waved a little, biting her lip nervously.

"Hello, Waven!" Alex greeted merrily, completely forgetting all of his anxiety at the sight of his friend. "You look...weawwy pretty!"
Feather smiled, and welcomed the pair into their home. She took a seat on the couch, and gestured for Bird to follow.
"It's about time we got this play on, eh?"

Raven blushed mightily, clutching the blue cloth with her free hand, the other dragging Nana.
"Thanks. An' you look..." she thought for a moment. "... Brave!"
"Aye to that!" Bird crowed. "Thanks for hosting it here; we appreciate it."
She clapped her hands, standing. "Okay you two! Ready to start?"
Raven nodded, suddenly giddy, and zoomed around the curtain. Her longest feathers had been carefully attatched to her dress, so they wouldn't obstruct her movements.

"Thanks, Waven!" Alex said cheerily, following behind her closely as the two of them vanished behind the curtain.
Feather squirmed in her seat, trying to get comfortable. "Alright guys. Let's start the show!"
Alex pulled a string attached to the curtain, and the sheet was pulled back.
On went the opening scene- in which the Butterfly Princess was first kidnapped.

Raven had smoothed out the non-existant kinks in her dress, tugged on the bottom reachable parts of her butterfly wings, quickly checked on her stuffed mice that were safely tucked in one of her secret pockets, and straightened her hair before she deemed herself ready.
She walked as calmly as she could onto the thrown-together stage, arms thrown out as she pretended to walk across a log over a stream. And then Raven stopped, and faced the two women in front of her.
"Once upawn a time, there was a flutterboo pwincess. She lived," Raven motioned airily with a hand behind her at the background, "in a castle, and had too many dresses."
Raven sneaked a hand behind her while she spoke, fingers curling around one of the mice.
"But then, one day, her life was wuined by the evil Mouses!" The Eden quickly popped the mouse on her head. She gave a little squeal, throwing out the rest of the stuffed animals around her feet. "'Dey had come to snatch her away, an'... an' chop off her wings for their wall!"
She kicked a few of the mice, repositioning them.
"She was surrounded, and was taken away to their... um, evil lands!"
Raven gave a show about being carried off, throwing her arm over her eyes. She pointedly nudged the mice she couldn't pick up under the skirt of her dress, and they were dragged along as she exited the stage.
"Whateva' was the pwincess to do?" Raven called off-stage, grinning from ear-to-ear.

Alex grinned enthusiastically at Raven, silently appluading her on her good job, and carried himself forward, toward the front of the stage. He started off on the opposite side from where the girl had been 'taken away', giving the impression that he was chasing after her.
He jogged onto the center of the stage, his armor thumping against his chest just before he made a sudden stop, directly facing Feather and Bird. He cleared his throat, "There was alswo a bwave knight who lived in the flutterboo pwincess' kingdwom, who always liked her very much frowm afar, but could never really talk to her because of her pwincess dooties."
He took out a plastic sword from its sheath near his waist, carefully examining it before continuing.
"When he heawd about the pwincess being kidnapped, he realized he'd have to go aftur her and save the day! He set out the vewy moment he found out she was gone!"
He ran off of the stage, in pursuit of a non-exsistant mouse who had apparently been not-knowingly guiding him throughout his journey to the evil kingom.
"Those mouses were toast!" He called from behind him, his voice suprisingly booming for his small size.

Raven had, during Alexander's act, lifted up her skirts and scurried over to the other side of the stage by cover of the background. She easily found the Evil Mouse King, and started pushing him onto the stage just as Alex exited.
Once the mouse was positioned as they had planned, Raven quickly made herself known.
"What-- whawt is d'meaning of this?" she declared, more mice plushies appearing as she moved them about with her toes from under her dress. The Eden tried as best she could to imitate, what she thought would be, the Evil Mouse King's voice.
"BWAHAHAHA! D'flutterboo pwincess's wings awre mine!" Raven boomed. She remembered to look frightened.
"Wh-what d'you want wif' my wings?"
A deep breath, "TO... mouwnt 'dem on my wall!"
Raven hid her face in her hands, slumping to the floor, wailing. She quickly turned away from Feather and Bird to continue the Evil Mouse King's speech.
"I will weturn here showtly. Guards! Keep a shawp eye!"
Raven gave the large plushie a good kick in the side, hastily collected the rest of the small mice and stuffed them under her dress again. A noteable thud sounded off in the aftermath.
She sighed, gazing at the ceiling. "Oh... what is the flutterboo pwincess t'do?"

"ARGGG!! GWARDSS!!!" Alex made various slashing and clashing sounds backstage, clanging his sword against a few various pots and cookie sheets. He made a few thumping sounds against the ground, as well, simulating several guards falling unconscious beneath the knight's blade.
"I shall save you, pwincess!!" He whispered at the far corner of the stage, hidden from view. He was apparently trying to speak as if though he were talking through a narrow slit in a cell door. "Are you huwt at all? You don't have to wowwy about the guards!"

Raven snapped up her head, looking excited. She rose from her knees and, grabbing a handful of her dress, hurried over to Alexander's side of the stage. Pretending there was a solid wall between them, Raven placed her hands in the air in front of her, shooting Alex a quick grin.
"Who's there? Is it a bwave knight come to wescue me? Or a twick of the Evil Mowse King?"

"I'm Alex, knight of the flutterboo kingdom!" Came his whispered response as he slowly creeped onstage.
"Stand back, okay? I'm going to cut the wock off of the dowr!"

Raven did a sort of helicopter movement with her arms as she fell backwards in her haste to get away from Alexander. After scuttling over to the other side (she had to, yet again, lift up the dress), the Eden faced the pretend side Alex was on.
"Okay," Raven whispered, "Y'can... cut apawt the door now, Sir Awwex!"

Alex nodded swiftly, backed up for a few moments, unsheathed his plastic sword, and charged at the non-exsistant door, hacking away at the 'lock'. He had soon destroyed the imaginary object and burst in through the door, giving Raven a wide grin.
"Awex the knight at yowr sewvice!" He bowed quickly. "Come on, we'll have to fly out of the tower window on the fawr edge of the hall to get to safety!"
