Which of the final fantasy games do you like better? The older ones with the sorta bad graphics or the newer ones in which everything looks real? I personally love 10 and I adore 9's movie graphics. However, I think the older games(such as 4 and 6) have better story lines. What do you think?

I prefer the more animmated graphics, like in 9.

As far as graphics go... of course I prefer the newer ones. But I detested them for their lack of interesting storyline... esspecially FFX... and that other one....(*refuses to say it's name*) Personally I think FF6 was the best FF yet followed closely by FFT then coming in a hair width's later, FF7. (personally I don't consider FF7 to have that great of graphics... the block hands just didn't do it for me)
so I guess I liked the older ones more.

I love the graphics in the new ones, so I enjoy playing them a little bit more than the older FFs. But for storylines, I'd definitely play the oldies like 7 and 8.

I'll say now that the newer FF games did look good but when it comes down to story line and likable characters I think I'll stick with the older FF games for the time being, thanks.

if they took the new graphics and applied them to the old games it would be one hell of a winner

I'm in agreement with most everyone here. The newer games obviously have the better graphics but the Storyline in the older games were much better. Personally I would love to see a complete revamp of FF6 for the PS2 or PS3. I think it would just rule the world of RPG's completely.

Oh what I would give to see FF6 on the PS3 in it's best quality possible. Just the thought of a CG movie of Figaro castle sinking under the desert as Edgar and the others escape Kefka for the first time fill my heart with glee. Or the simple possibility of the same thing happening to Celes's Opera scene, it brings tears of joy to my eyes. (ok so maybe not that much... but close)

As for storyline i have to go with the older ones but for graphics i have to say i like the new ones but the older FF graphics could be dealt with but a poor storyline it doesnt matter how good the graphics are i would still choose 7 8 or 9 over them all

Mm, I must disagree in that I like the new ones' storylines better... I have to admit that I haven't finished any of the old ones, so my opinion may eventually shift, (especially on VI) but I've gotten a decent way through most of them, and I just didn't like the stories as much... To the point I got to in II, the characters, one of my favorite aspects of Final Fantasy, were so incredibly boring I couldn't stand it.
And, of course, the new graphics are much better.

I assume that VII is the changeover point from old to new
if so i prefer the new but my favorite is still VII

i love the new games. i grow up playing FFX at my friends. but i love animated looking games the best. But the best games are the Digivices(?) ^_^

....... I'm a Nintendo fan, and the whole graphic thing is annoying. Storyline is all that matters to me.
