There is a rumor out that Cloud can get Barret as a "date" in the gold saucer portion where Aeris or Tifa show up. I was wondering if any one has proven or disproven this rumor. You apparently have to treat Tifa and Aeris very badly throughout the first portion of the game before the "date".

i tried that once, but forgot about it halfway to gold saucer and ruined it.

I have tried that and it doesn't work...the only things that do work are the Tifa and Aeris dates.
Treat Tifa bad....Aeris asks you out
Treat Aeris bad....Tifa asks you out

that is what I figured because I have never got it to work either. There are millions of rumors to get the mighty sephiroth in your party but they are all false. the only wayto get him in your party is this insanely long evil gameshark code and the Sephiroth sprite replaces cloud in the battle screen. pretty cool, but you have to disable it during the flashback otherwise it will glitch up on you. The gamesharek code that actually puts him in your party glitches up because the game waits for him to "come out" of cloud eek like the other characters do, but since he is a static or fake character, it freezes up. just another rumor laid to rest.

There are millions of rumors to get the mighty sephiroth in your party but they are all false. the only way to get him in your party is this insanely long evil gameshark code and the Sephiroth sprite replaces cloud in the battle screen. pretty cool, but you have to disable it during the flashback otherwise it will glitch up on you. Uh...isn't that the one when Cloud is telling his story of Niblehelm and you fight the dragon thing with Sephiroth at level 50 and Cloud at level 1? Yeah I've done that, each time Cloud died, Sephiroth casted Life 2 on him...and I got piised and screamed "JUST KILL THE DAMN DRAGON!"

Actually guys it IS possible. My friend did it. She got Barret and Cloud to go on a date together. She wouldn't shut up about it. I think it was because of her love of Yaoi that made it possible.

yeah i have done it!
you ignor the girls don't have them on your team don't talk to them. always have barret with you and talk to him only.unless you really need to as part of the game. it is so funny!

I'm sure I read somewhere that you can get Yuffie to go on the date with Cloud if she's in the party too. Is that one true?

Yes, but they are quite interesting...
I didn't know about the Yuffie date, I'm going to have to try that one.
How do you get Sephiroth then, and I hope it's not gameshark....
