The storm had raged on violently through out the night. Water cascadeing rapidly in sheets as lightening split the sky into several pieces. Cadaver and Alora had shared the cave through out the entire night. Dicussing, plotting, planning. It seemed like their endless chatter wouldn't end. But after a long period of exchangeing ideas, Alora had finally settled down and fallen asleep. Leaving Cadaver to his own thoughts. He listened to the storm outside as he also watched over Alora as she slept. His ears perking every now and again. His mind wandering from one thought to the other. Untill, exhaustion set in. His sightless eyes closeing slowly as sleep weighed heavy on his mind.
The night had passed quickly, as the storm had as well. Soon, the sun peeked over the mountains and began to shine softly upon the lands. Cadaver hadn't stirred dureing his time of sleeping. His chin lay against his chest as he slightly leaned up against the wall of the cave. He murmed softly, but nothing that was easy to hear. Birds sang outside as they started to awake from their hideing spots they had hid in dureing the storm. But this didn't even waken the dark stallion as he slept on.

Alora slept soundly throughout the night, not stirring or moving except every now and then, she would speak out, words and phrases from fragments of her re-occuring nightmare would escape her lips and cause her to stir and move her legs, her eyes twitching as if flinching from something. Fear and horror was a clear expression on her face throughout the dream but they seemed to subside, allowing her to return to a peaceful sleep. Normally she would awake frightened and then angry, but something was different this night. Something soothed and pushed those nightmares away, but as morning came the nightmares returned, determined to wake her up.
Fragments of phrases became full sentences as she relived the horrible scene over again. She was a young mare, barely grown and her brother stood by her as they watched in horror. Their mother had cried and then run in fear, leaving them to this stallion's fury as his hooves pounded bloody flesh, their father's flesh, and yet he did not fight back...not once. Her brother wanted to help but they both knew they were no match for this stallion. Soon he finished his pounding and turned his blazing eyes upon them...meanwhile her legs twitched now as she drempt her voice trembling with fear. She had never known fear until then. She had always been a proud soquili, raised in a fine herd with a strong father to elad and protect them and teach them as they grew...but her mother had always been weak..begging him not to fight...but to leave and take their family elsewhere, away from the dangers of others challenging for herd leadership.
This stallion...his teeth gleamed as he grinned before attacking her brother, she screamed and kicked at him....not her brother...he was defenseless...just barely a young stallion. She drempt crying over his limp, lifeless body, a loud sounding wail escaping her lips...and with that she awoke...fresh tear stains on her cheeks, eyes wide and breathing heavily.

At the soud of Alora's screams, Cadaver's head shot straight up and he jumped to his feet. His ears flat against his skull as his tail flicked around, trying to figure out what all the commotion was about. To tell the truth, he hadn't been expecting that. He nickered deep in his chest before he realized where he was. Still in the cave with Alora, and he didn't see anything else around that would cause harm to either of them.
After regaining his composure quickly, he turned his head and looked down at Alora who was still on the floor of the cave. The mixture of blues in her aura made him sort of weary. What exactly had happened while he had dosed off to sleep? He could tell she was awake from the sound of her heavy breathing. Takeing a few steps towards her, he lowered his head so that he was looking at her, his milky white eyes full of curiosity as to what was going on. Why she had screamed.
His eyebrows furrowed as he studied her for a moment. "Are you ok?" Lifting his ears slightly, though they were still half way down, he tilted his head a moment so he could get a good look at her. It didn't seem she was hurt...so maybe it was just a bad dream?

Alora's heavy breathing started to slow as she looked around and remembered where she was. Her ears were still flat against her head and her body was lathered in a light sweat. The dream...nightmare...memories..whatever it was that was haunting her sleep. It had eluded her most of the night. She wasn;t sure why but was thankful for it. She heard a voice and turned to look into the milky white eyes of Cadaver.
It took a moment to process what he had said before she responded. "Yes ..umm. I'm sorry...nightmare...flashes of the memories I spoke of...blood..." she looked at the cave's mouth, seeing that it wasn't raining now and morning had come. "It seems to have eluded me most of this night. I usually wake up several times a night to the nightmare. The only difference about last night was..." her voice trailed off and she looked at his eyes again. "you" she whispered softly. She turned her head to the side, realizing how pathetic and weak she must look to be waking up screaming in fear from a nightmare, and of the past of all things.
She got yo her feet and headed for the entrance, "We should set out and find Zira and Rahu. That is if you still want to be around me now that you know my secrets, my weakness you could call it. " She ahted herself for the fact he saw that. Her green eyes gleamed in hate for that stallion, she would have revenge on him and rid herself of these nightmares. It was the only way.

Cadaver watched her closely as her breaths started to slow. Seems she was getting over the intial scare atleast. His braided two toned tail flicked back and forth, it's tip moveing across the cave floor lightly.
Takeing a small mental sigh, he smiled inwardly. "That's good then...." He said nothing more on the subject. Maybe, in the back of his mind, his presance around her subdued the nightmares that she had. Maybe. Who knew? She did say herself that they had illuded her that night they were together and the only difference than any other night was him being there. Giveing a mental shrug, he walked towards the entrance of the cave, feeling the warmth of the sun on his dark coat as he stood there.
Turning his head, he watched her climb to her feet and head to the entrance as well. "Don't worry....I won't tell a soul." He smiled lightly at her before turning his head back out towards the outside. Takeing a few steps outside, he sniffed the air lightly. It seemed to be cleaner from the storm last night and very damp. But it was still lingering in the morning and would probably dissipate once it was the afternoon. "Which way do you think they could be?" He said after a moment of silence, his tail giveing an idle flick once before he looked back at her. A small breeze whipped past his head makeing the skull feather attached to his ear flutter softly before it settled down against the side of his head and neck again.

Alora watched him walk to the entrance of the cave into the sunlight. Her thoughts were clouded and hate raged in her mind as she began to think about the stallion who murdered her father and brother, and how to kill him...to rid herself of these nightmares. She sighed and looked up at the dark stallion with a hardened expression on her face. She was determined not to let this rule her life.
His next few words were a surprise to her. She had not expected the kind smile and words from such a stallion as he. Perhaps there was more to him then she had thought and somehow she felt comforted he still accepted her as she was, even after that show of weakness. She moved up alongside him and smiled sweetly, "Good because if you did tell I'd have to crush your voice box." She of course was teasing him again in her playful, sadistic manner, much like last night.
She looked around, surveying the area. It was very wet ouside and the grass gleamed with dampness as the sun shone on it, attempting to dry it. She shivered slightly as the chill of the wind reached her, before taking a few more steps. "I know where Zira's lands are. We will find her there. I doubt Rahu would be too far away." She started to move forward, turning her head back to him, "This way."

He could tell she was still a bit upset about the whole ordeal, so he wouldn't bother her by asking questions about what the nightmare had entailed. All he knew, is that it probably had brought up a lot of buried rage that she had managed to conceal from the world. And that she must be ashamed for the way she had acted. Crying out from her dreams and wakeing up in tears. The tears must of been a mix of that anger and sadness. Those he knew all to well. But as Cadaver had grown, he had soon grown out of that, and moved on. Though occasionally his own skeletons would catch up with him as well.
Cadaver's words were truthfull. He wouldn't tell a soul. Knowing what it was like to not want others to know what a weakness of himself was. A true weakness anyway. "I rather like talking thank you. So I don't think you'll be doing such a thing." He snatched her opportunity to have some control with fear away from her. Though he knew she was only teasing, he could never be too sure with some people. Especially with an issue such as this that he himself knew about. Something that could ruin a Soquili's reputation with others. But it was something that he might be able to use in the future, if need be.
"Alright then." He gave his braided tail a couple flicks as he started off after her. Letting her lead the way since he really had no clue where they were going in the first place. Cadaver was interested in meeting this Zira...and more interested in seeing Rahu again who he had only met briefly.

Alora chuckled at him, in her manical but playful manner. "Well its good you like to talk then. I certainly would hate to have to crush the voice I so enjoy exchanging ideas with." Her lip curled into a sinister grin, exposing a few teeth and her eyes flashed a bright green, showing a mischievious yet menacing look. Naturally Alora would never harm Cad unless he left her no other choice and she hoped he never put her into a position to make that choice.
What was this? She did not want to harm or see any harm come to another? Other then Rahu and now Zira, she had never actually felt that way for another. Even in Rahu and Zira's case she knew they could take care of themselves...and although she knew Cad was more then capable, somehow a twinge inside of her told her if anyone harmed him she'd kill them.
Interesting. New thoughts floated around in her mind as she lead the way to Zira's lands. Soon they were in the tall grasses. Alora sniffed the air, catching not only Zira's scent but Rahu's too. "well it seems they are together, so that makes finding them both easy." She mused about that. Just then her ears perked as she ehard voices, but they didn't sound like happy voices. "what in the world...." her voice trailed off and she bolted forward to see what was going on up ahead between those two.

Cadaver raised an eyebrow slightly at her comment. Not really understanding why she enjoyed his voice. It wasn't anything special really. Though he couldn't see her sinister grin, he could see the change in her aura from it. Seems events earlier had rolled off her back, for now.
He wasn't sure if Alora would ever try to harm him. Though he might do something that could warrant a beating, he wasn't sure if he was on good enough terms with her for her to hold back from such acts. Untill he actually knew, he'd keep an eye out for it non the less.
Flicking his tail side to side lightly, he blinked as she bolted off in the direction some voices were comeing from. A sullen feeling of depression and misery riseing into the back of his mind. Not his own mind you, but someone elses. He figured this might be this Zira character. Even from the short time he had met Rahu, he didn't feel that stallion could be capable of such emotions. Unless there was more to him than he thought. He followed after Alora slowly, though catching up quickly non the less. Keeping himself a bit distanced untill he knew fully what was going on.

[rp leading to this]As Zira had tilted her head waiting for Rahu's response she heard another voice. She took her eyes off Rahu for a moment to look at the figure that had just bolted through the grass towards them. Its was Alora to Zira's surprise with some stallion that seemed abit strange looking. Zira pose was some what defensive still from the fight that had almost started. "....Alora?......" Zira then glanced back to Rahu wondering if he would finish his sentance.

Rahu didn't bother to finish his sentance as he heard other voices, and the out of no where Alora bolted towards them. and a bit to his surprise Cadaver was coming towards them with Alora. still a bit defensive, he stood there leting Alora talk first as Zira had said her name. glacing at Zira, he hoped she wouldn't mention a thing about what had been just going on.

He stopped not too far away from the gaggle of Alora, Zira and Rahu. Still keeping his distance but not far enough away to where he couldn't hear the conversation going on. Locking eyes with Rahu for a moment, he wondered what exactly was going on. Though when he glanced to Zira, he kind of got a clue.
Cadaver though, didn't say a word. Keeping his mouth shut, he watched the fray at hand. Milky white eyes half lidded as he stood there, ears perked. A cool breeze flitted past, ruffling his mane and feather attached to his ear. His tail flicked back and forth slowly as he turned his head slightly to make it seem like he wasn't watching, or had no real interest in the goings on between Rahu and the mare.

Alora looked from Zira to Rahu and back to Zira again. A curious brow lifted as she surveyed them both and their defensive stances. It was obviously apparant they had been fighting...or at least arguing...but about what and was it boiling to the point of a physical fight? Their body movements and the like told her this was very likely the case. "Its nice to see you again Zira, although it seems I may have come at a bad time?" Her gaze shifted to Rahu. She studied him a moment, trying to read what was going on behind those blazing eyes of his. "Whats going on here? You both look ready to let hooves fly and teeth rake each other....Rahu?" she stepped closer to him. Something was different. She was used to his normal persona and this was not it. Somehow he seemed...meaner, almost malicious. Not that she didn't like that in a stallion and allie, but it was not good when this malicious attitude was taken out on a mare she full well knew he loved. She knew it from the time the 3 of them had been together dressing Zira's leg wounds. "Whats happened to you Rahu...Whats going on inside that mind of yours? Were you going to attack Zira? " She purposely stepped between them, a stern look upon her face as she tried to get a closer look at Rahu. For a moment she forgot to introduce Cadaver to Zira in the moment of walking in on a heated fight.
