So is the episode title like a big fat warning? This isn't the real Charlie cause he's surfing, y'all?
Seriously, I cannot get over the ugly green. Dear CW, please stop with the ugly green color on every commercial and during the end credits and at all. Please, please, please. I know you probably had a focus group be all like, this is the best color ever. CW, they are having a huge laugh at your expense. It is ugly. It burns my eyes. Please stop. Love, Tsu.
Okay, now that that is out of the way.
Aw, man, Parker was just starting to not hate Veronica. So sad. But I like it better than the irrational dislike thing that they had going with Jackie. It seems a more believable. I mean, Veronica was totally right about clearing the guys when they had nothing to do with the rapes. Well, not directly, at least, ignoring the possibility of them affecting it socially in some way. But I see where Parker is coming from.
I think Veronica may actually be trying to solve this mystery. Such a change from last season.
I love Ryan Hansen. Love love love. d**k, objectively, is annoying and kind of icky. And I keep reminding myself that he's the one that encourage Cassidy to rape Veronica. But I can't help wanting to see more of his character.
Piz was missing. So was Weevil. Wallace's part was so small that I keep forgetting he was actually in this episode. And Mac was not there, as well. And Lamb. THEY ARE ALL IN THE CREDITS! I miss them, but I hope this means they'll have bigger parts in the important episodes of this arc.
Right?
Oh, Logan. What were you doing opening your heart to evil!not!Charlie? Seriously? So quickly? Although, if the story you told was true, dude... That's just wrong. Poor baby. I want to bake cookies for him.
And then Poor Real Charlie. He just wanted to live his life. And then the vultures descend upon him. Come on, real Charlie. Call Logan back and at least let him apologize.
Oh! And my Dad watched this episode through to completion. And! He's trying to solve the rape mystery. He thinks it WAS a fraternity, and that it was part of some hazing ritual. And he thinks d**k was the one who raped Parker. My Daddy has come so far since season one, where he scoffed at the show.

Only like three seconds of Wallace? Why waste his episodes like that? Veronica could've picked up that newspaper herself and then Wallace could be saved for more episodes where he'd really be used. This episode felt a lot more like Logan to me, though I don't want him to be mopey like this all the time. His sad moments are much more affecting when they are used sparingly. Still I loved getting a look at his family life and everything and how really does want to be loved. It was also nice to see him worrying about becoming like his dad because I've read so many fics where he is and it seemed like he would be but it hadn't been made cannon. That story about Aaron and the pears was disturbing and yet I loved hearing about Logan's twisted childhood, imaging Aaron doing this, and seeing some angsty Logan dealing with the issues it feels like he should be doing. It was awesome that Lynn pulled that cheese knife on Aaron. That's the first time we've heard of her intervening. I wonder if she did it earlier before she started drowing herself in alcohol or always when it got that serious. It gives a nice look at why Logan idolized her so much. Parker is great, and the actress who is playing her is a wonderful addition to the cast. I totally bought that she would easily be sucked into the feminazis at least for a little bit because the scenes with her mom showed she's not quite sure of herself and Nish and all of them have very dominant personalities. All the d**k stuff was golden. Ryan Hansen was perfect and his whole scene at Veronica's apartment was hilarious. But I would kind of like them to use d**k a little less for some episodes to make room for characters like Wallace or Mac. I liked Keith's storyline because I liked seeing the seedy noir aspect of the show with all the night settings and stakeouts and it was cute to see him in a romance, but I didn't like how obvious and forced the romance was being set up. I have trouble buying Not-Charlie would not publish his article even after the Larry King thing because he still had good stuff like the pear story that would've definately sold. I also don't get how he knew to tap Charlie's phone when Logan didn't even know about his existence until that moment. TheTsunuffy So is the episode title like a big fat warning? PS: While you are sending the green to a far away land where it belongs, send those aarie girls with you. And when Kristen Bell does a picture take as a joke, you do not then use that picture on the advertisements. TheTsunuffy I think Veronica may actually be trying to solve this mystery. Such a change from last season. I know and it makes me so happy. I like seeing Veronica CARE and be emotionally invested and working to solve it, instead of only showing interest when a random clue comes and falls on her face.

I was hoping that her and Veronica would get along after Veronica told her about that whole party bit. d**k really grows on you! ~ even though I would never admit it! After him being in the second season ended, I had a hard time imagining the show without him. Oh ~ and d**k was one person I never expected to see visiting Veronica's house! I really hope that Charlie accepts Logan's apology! I feel bad for him, because you know the writers are just trying to see how much emotional baggage that they can give him. That is neat about your Dad! My Mom was the same way, she scoffed at the show and she just recently bought me the second season on DVD and I know part of the reason is because she wants to catch herself up on the show! Macaroni_and_Cheese I liked Keith's storyline because I liked seeing the seedy noir aspect of the show with all the night settings and stakeouts and it was cute to see him in a romance, but I didn't like how obvious and forced the romance was being set up. I can't believe that d**k would do that just to get into a frat. He's a jerk, but he's not that cruel. Then again, sweet Cassidy turned out to be a murderer. sad
I simply can't believe that d**k would do that.
Anyway, besides the fact that I'm too attached to d**k, I've also considered the killers from the last two seasons. Veronica always came up with the criminal abruptly, surprisingly, and intensely. We wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be d**k. It wouldn't fit the previous villain's profiles. No offense, but that theory seems too simple.

No offense, but that theory seems too simple. d**k did intend to drug Madison to get her to sleep with him, and he told Beaver to rape Veronica. I love d**k, but I think he is capable of it. But from a writing standpoint I don't think it would be a good idea for it to be d**k because like you said it wouldn't be that surprising and then we'd lose him. Also he was no where near Hearst during Stacy's rape in season 2.

paroxysmal_pianist Veronica always came up with the criminal abruptly, surprisingly, and intensely. I think that's because the writers got so caught up in the adventures that Veronica was having that they forgot about the plot line and said, "Oh hey! There's only three episodes left! We still have to resolve the big mystery!" Which is why the format changed this season. As I said in the Veronica Mars thread in the Entertainment forum, this was the best line from that episode: "One less b*****d child conceived by morons." rofl Convenience store clerk FTW! The Not-Charlie plotline and Logan's vulnerability was great character development for Logan. It's nice to see him shake that brazen surface once in a while, and delve deep into the ******** up world of the Echolls household. I wonder if we'll see a reappearance of his sister during this season. I'm sure she'd like to know about Charlie a little bit too, even if she is a bit self-centered. And adopted. Wait, did Logan say on Larry King that his brother sold him out to the reporter? I mised that part. I also liked that Veronica admitted her compulsion for deep digging broguth some pain to Logan, but Logan forgave her and understands her, and even thanks her for it. So Charlie, call Logan back! I find the feminazis weird, because it seems like they get an idea implanted into their head about who's the serial rapist, and they beat the horse to death. Like when Veronica was investigating for the Pi Sigs, they couldn't get it out of their heads that she was betraying all women everywhere by trying to clear the frat's name, because they were so convinced they (the frat) were at the root of it all. I wonder if they ever thought about it from Veronica's investigative point of view, because she is narrowing down the list of suspects by clearing names, which is only helping their cause, even if they don't immediately see it. But I also can see that this is a great travesty being committed toward women and they just want justice. Also, Parry Shen was a frat brother. heart I think the other main characters will probably come into play later in the season. There's a lot of them. And plus, there are supposed to be three mystery arcs, right? They'll probably become more prominent later one, or even in these next few episodes. We can't have all the good characters not used. gonk
