Anybody like Grindcore/Power Violence? Its the same thing, just differnet names.
For those of you who don't know, Grindcore[what I call it] is basically a full assault on your ears. The drums are constant blast beats, the guitars are crazy fast, and the vocals are brutal screaming. Its mainly shorter songs, 30 seconds to 2 minutes, but there are longer ones.
Some examples of bands are: Magrudergrind, Terrorizer, Capitalist Casualties, Charles Bronson, Superninja3066, ACXDC[AntiChrist Demoncore], Abrade, and so on.
So if anyone likes it sound off. If you have any recommendations, shows coming up, whatever.

i've been at local shows with the guy from acxdc
there all right....yeah.power violence is all right. i like grindcore better..like napalm death.....yeah and a few other new bands, yeah......that's pretty much it for me.

Hehe, I didn't listen to it much until I heard a local band (Perth, Aus) that goes under the name 'Blowtorch Abortion'. The EP I have by them is, like, barely 2 minutes long even with 4 songs, but they definitely pack enough grind into their music to make it seem like much longer.... whee
Grindcore for me is like the musical equivalent of a caffeine pill or something. Theres no way I could listen to it all the time, or even on a regular basis, but when you're feling down or are in the mood for it, it really hits that spot. xd
Serious question - Is the grindcore genre, both musically and lyrically, the pinacle of extremity in music in your opinion? Short of using computers, I don't see how man made music could be much more extreme in a musical sense, and some of the lyrics must be the most vile things I've ever had the pleasure of reading. sweatdrop
Edit: Also - Cybergrind. Does it exist? I've always wondered about this genre of music ever since I heard SYL's City described as having cybergrind elements. However, I've yet in my travels to find a band that is ascribed to this genre. The wikipedia on entry lists a few bands, none of which I have ever heard before. Intriguing...
