ARDIA!!! The spirit of a volcano!
Alright, alright, I've finally decided. Weasel seemed to mesh much too closely with a few of the other spirits, so, at last, I have decided to quest solely for Ardia. More info and stuff soon, maybe.>>clickeh<<"When you're fifty foot tall, fifty foot wide, and filled to the brim with death, people respect you. Unpredictability, burning white hot, melting all. Unstability, cracks down the middle, smoking with rage. Fury, passion, hatred and pain, all things in life that make life, are like flame. Like the bubbling magma, like the rolling lava, all melted from the heart of the world. Ardia, the hate and the flame within. The spirit of a Volcano." APPEARANCE: Hair:Flames, exploding upwards (Think, Cindaquil, from pokemon. sweatdrop ) Eyes: Glowing and golden, almond-shaped. Skin: Chocolate brown Markings: Swirling lava-like patterns on her Left shoulder, and around her eyes. Glowing golden-white hands and feet. Other~?: Flames, identical to those on her head, exploding from her left shoulder.Lets get this straight. Ardia doesn't like you. It's nothing personal, really, it's just that Ardia would have so much more fun running you over with a steamroller than being nice to you. Honestly, that's just the way a volcano is. Leaving paths of mass destruction is their thing, you know?MOAR INFO SOONZ. heart

INFO WIKIPEDIA SAYZ;
A volcano is an opening, or rupture, in a planet's surface or crust, which allows hot, molten rock, ash, and gases to escape from below the surface. Volcanic activity involving the extrusion of rock tends to form mountains or features like mountains over a period of time. Volcanoes are generally found where tectonic plates are pulled apart or come together. A mid-oceanic ridge, for example the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, has examples of volcanoes caused by "divergent tectonic plates" pulling apart; the Pacific Ring of Fire has examples of volcanoes caused by "convergent tectonic plates" coming together. By contrast, volcanoes are usually not created where two tectonic plates slide past one another. Volcanoes can also form where there is stretching and thinning of the Earth's crust (called "non-hotspot intraplate volcanism"), such as in the African Rift Valley, the Wells Gray-Clearwater Volcanic Field and the Rio Grande Rift in North America and the European Rhine Graben with its Eifel volcanoes. Volcanoes can be caused by "mantle plumes". These so-called "hotspots" , for example at Hawaii, can occur far from plate boundaries. Hotspot volcanoes are also found elsewhere in the solar system, especially on rocky planets and moons.
Volcanic features The most common perception of a volcano is of a conical mountain, spewing lava and poisonous gases from a crater at its summit. This describes just one of many types of volcano, and the features of volcanoes are much more complicated. The structure and behavior of volcanoes depends on a number of factors. Some volcanoes have rugged peaks formed by lava domes rather than a summit crater, whereas others present landscape features such as massive plateaus. Vents that issue volcanic material (lava, which is what magma is called once it has escaped to the surface, and ash) and gases (mainly steam and magmatic gases) can be located anywhere on the landform. Many of these vents give rise to smaller cones such as Puʻu ʻŌʻō on a flank of Hawaii's Kīlauea. Other types of volcano include cryovolcanoes (or ice volcanoes), particularly on some moons of Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune; and mud volcanoes, which are formations often not associated with known magmatic activity. Active mud volcanoes tend to involve temperatures much lower than those of igneous volcanoes, except when a mud volcano is actually a vent of an igneous volcano.
Volcanic activity A popular way of classifying magmatic volcanoes is by their frequency of eruption, with those that erupt regularly called active, those that have erupted in historical times but are now quiet called dormant, and those that have not erupted in historical times called extinct. However, these popular classifications are practically meaningless to scientists. They use classifications which refer to a particular volcano's formative and eruptive processes and resulting shapes, which was explained above. There is no real consensus among volcanologists on how to define an "active" volcano. The lifespan of a volcano can vary from months to several million years, making such a distinction sometimes meaningless when compared to the lifespans of humans or even civilizations. For example, many of Earth's volcanoes have erupted dozens of times in the past few thousand years but are not currently showing signs of eruption. Given the long lifespan of such volcanoes, they are very active. By human lifespans, however, they are not. Scientists usually consider a volcano to be active if it is currently erupting or showing signs of unrest, such as unusual earthquake activity or significant new gas emissions. Many scientists also consider a volcano active if it has erupted in historic time. It is important to note that the span of recorded history differs from region to region; in the Mediterranean, recorded history reaches back more than 3,000 years but in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, it reaches back less than 300 years, and in Hawaii, little more than 200 years. The Smithsonian Global Volcanism Program's definition of 'active' is having erupted within the last 10,000 years. Dormant volcanoes are those that are not currently active (as defined above), but could become restless or erupt again. Confusion however, can arise because many volcanoes which scientists consider to be active are referred to as dormant by laypersons or in the media. Extinct volcanoes are those that scientists consider unlikely to erupt again. Whether a volcano is truly extinct is often difficult to determine. Since "supervolcano" calderas can have eruptive lifespans sometimes measured in millions of years, a caldera that has not produced an eruption in tens of thousands of years is likely to be considered dormant instead of extinct. For example, the Yellowstone Caldera in Yellowstone National Park is at least 2 million years old and hasn't erupted violently for approximately 640,000 years, although there has been some minor activity relatively recently, with hydrothermal eruptions less than 10,000 years ago and lava flows about 70,000 years ago. For this reason, scientists do not consider the Yellowstone Caldera extinct. In fact, because the caldera has frequent earthquakes, a very active geothermal system (i.e. the entirety of the geothermal activity found in Yellowstone National Park), and rapid rates of ground uplift, many scientists consider it to be an active volcano.

DT's crits will get more structured as he goes thru 'em (in which some may or may not have already noticed if they're keeping up with them.)
Graphics/Images/etc: The graphics are iffy, not that great, but not that good- they do however give you a basic idea of just what kinda pet you're after- which is good. The art picture in the first post... what's it of? How does it relate to the quest thread, wha~? Explain some stuff there, or move the image to somewhere more fitting
Story/Concept Character: An odd sort of name, but one that makes you look twice, a good thing. Your intro to the story is a bit weak, also, try to avoid one-liners, it's a nasty habit you can pick up and not notice, so start noticing and start fixing. Also, you introduce Hostel's love of storms, that's nice, but who's Hostel? What kinda person is she, what's she presently doing, why does she love storms? She hopes to see a twister of hurricane one day? What place does she live in? Kids? a leopard boy? What species if Hostel, wheres the father? Where did the BABIES COME FROM?! It's cute that your character and one of her deranged offspring are having a bonding moment in the storm, but halfway into the story and we know nothing about your concept child. You're introducing all of these other characters and having them interact, but then nothing really comes of it- the Weasel character just kinda pops up at the end. I'd consider rewriting it, perhaps splicing it into three different posts, one for the excess offspring that have no immediate relation/connection to your IoTS concept, and then one devoted to your character that will be interacting with aforementioned IoTS concept character. You should write more about the character himself, or perhaps the type of storm he more closely relates too(and here would be when ya' need to consider google searching for different kinds of storms, how they're categorized, how dangerous they can be... etc)
Now... Weasel is the spirit of the storm, your IoTS concept character you're questing for, yes? Then what's this crap about his mother being killed in a lightening strike? If he's the spirit or essence of something, then he wouldn't have parents like yours or mine. But then in the next line you say he caused the accident himself... so what is he then? a flesh and blood person capable of controlling storms with his emotions? That just doesn't make sense, either he's a spirit of the storm itself, or he 'became' the spirit of it(see the quest 'Spirit of the Chains' for a good example of one spirit becoming the essence/spirit/entity of another) Sit down and think on whether he was once upon a time a literal storm roiling across the lands, or something else, otherwise you're setting yourself up for a mess of clashing contradictions. So if he is the spirit of the storm, then I'm pretty sure Weasel boy would have no concept of the human kind of parents, and would find being mothered by a somewhat complete stranger to be a mind-boggling experience.
Met him as a tweeny bopper? So then what was he afore the reincarnation? Make it clear, VERY CLEAR, otherwise its just one question mark followed by a bajillion others.
Yessss...... he repents for parents he wouldn't have had if he was a storm... so it makes critique-in the rest of this rather difficult.
Powers- how would he learn to control them over time? I doubt this Hostel character would know jackshit about controlling or harnessing the wild powers of a storm, research storms and such, it should help with areas like this
Also, state specifically what kind of storms, is he the all around average kind or what? Usually one can only make certain types of storms when they are limited to a specific climate- so snow storms are out of the picture in the middle of florida no matter how many times you've watched Storm do it on X-men (Since you've selected an elemental spirit, climate will play a fairly big role in your RP, so you may want to point out where you live and what kind of weather you suffer year-round, also be sure to research the weakpoints of your type of element, what it's susceptible too and whatnot)
What's his motivation for harassing the opposite sex as he grows? Seems a bit random and totally out of the blue. Skirts flying up... so he likes to sexually harass the opposite sex?
Yess.... hideous memories, that's nice, but again, pick one either the elemental version, or other, you need to choose. So because of his emo baggage, a mini storm is just above his head 24/7 to blatantly display any emotion? Clarify and perhaps explain a bit on this, does it grow, or only appear when experiencing extreme emotion?
So... his entire spin is to forgive himself for something relatively out of his control? What happens when it happens? Does his reincarnated self fade off and die, leaving everyone else behind while he makes peace with himself?
At a certain point in his growth all he does is sleep to mentally fight his emotional baggage? Of which later take physical form and haunt his person...? That's overstepping some boundaries thar... just because he's the spirit of storms, or spirit of something who could control storms, does not mean that they can manifest (subconsciously or not) creatures of their imagination- that is far beyond the capabilities of your selected spirit. So either get to explaining how it would even be possible, or ditch it entirely. Overall the sleeping in order to fight, not good- have him do something that involves more people, he is still a child, and isn't of quite the right stuff to play anti-hero...
the hair description is confusing, I suggest drawing a quick sketch for reference... but what do dreadlocks have to do with storms? His eyes are gold... storms tend to range in a wide array of colors depending on what kind, but usually they stick to dark colors, grays, blacks, whites, and silvers. Markings.... what significance do they have? perhaps you should look up some runes or hieroglyphs that represent the term/word 'storms'? What's with the golden bone structures and fluffy wings? Is he a nice storm of the angelic sort? Where does this gold color come from? What's the point of the wings?
...eh, overall lots of work, nice start.

Whoa! That was alot more detailed than I expected. Thanks a bunch for you opinions, and they are mostly right.
This story is at it's most basic point, and I'll take alot of your pointers into consideration in developing it. I did consider the fact that Weasel only pops up for a moment in the very end of the entry, but I wasn't sure how to take it further.
The picture at the start is a concept image of Weasel, so I thought it would be in place...obviously not sweatdrop
With his dreadlocks...I figured if he's always in storms, twisters and things, his hair would get tangled...and the yellow represents lightning.
So, again, thanks for the help, and I'll take it on board.
