Thick ones...) - Young Adult: Mostly white with some speckles of color, is completely blind by this point - Adult: Complete loss of pigment in feathers. Markings: Just feather pattern. Plus white areas starting at preteen until he's completely white by adult Clothing: Overalls...? Animal Features: Ears - No Tail - Yes, tail feathers Wings(if applicable) - Yes Other - Comb, scaly feet
Personality: Crazy. Like a chicken. He has a fascination at picking at things on the floor, like carpets, rugs, especially if they have a pattern to them. He establishes a 'pecking order' with every male he meets. If he feels them to be below him, he'll often pick at them and sometimes cause physical harm. He's also a morning person and likes to pounce his parent in the mornings and crow, learning that that is what roosters do.
Levi is a boy boy. He likes to run, fight, scream, yell, and generally be messy, loud, and annoying. Pose: Something chicken-y? Extra: He tastes like chicken! ^.^ XD

The parent
Well, I originally was thinking of making this boy a sort of cure for Niki's ENS (Empty Nest Syndrome) as her two girls were growing up so fast on her and would probably be about ready to leave home by the time I got the funds for this boy. BUT, Niki is now saddled with two little twin boy gods, so she doesn't need a fifth kid. I'm mean, but definately not that mean!
So, that leaves the question of who the parent will be. I could still use Peri or I could use another OC of mine, Riordan and his 'partner' Kaden. They already have a little boy and I'm not sure about them... Or I could make up another character to toss the kid with. Right now, that's what I'm leaning towards. Of course, I'm a long ways away from obtaining this child, so I have a long time to plan things. *nods*
Well, that's all changed... XD I'm most likely going to give him to Peri's twin brother, who has a little boy already. I might give the kid to Peri, but I'm leaning more towards Talner right now... There's also the possibility of Ala's sister...
Okay, so I can't make up my mind... ^^" At this point, it's either Riordan and Kaden, possibly Talner, and possibly Reign (Ala's sister). It'll probably just kinda depend on when Ara opens slots up and all and I get him and what's going on with my characters at that time.
This just shows how indecisive I am... Anyways, Riordan and Kaden got another kid, so that puts an end to that idea.... They don't need more. So now it's basically down to Talner or Reign, though I'm also considering Peri. But... this is all subject to change... very subject to change, I should say...
Okay, so yes, this has changed yet again. I won Cassi, the wonderous peeing Chihuahua boy in the 2008 V-day sale... And, because boy in pink = awesomeness with Reign, who loves pink... Yeah, I don't think Reign will need another kid... especially seeing how I won a breeding spot from her shop for her... Which will be used... sometime in the far future, most likely.
So... Way things are now... either I'll make another family, or rope the third Coleman brother into D-corp with Levi. Talner only has one kid as of now. Peri's gotten a second child and... he hasn't done anything to be punished again by Alan... yet. Also, Niki's twin boys left, but she's already gotten one more child... and has secret plans that ICNiki's unaware of in being saddled with another child... possibly... XD Though she's still a possibility, depending on how things go when it gets closer to me getting Levi...
Well, that's all still possible, though Niki's probably out by now due to having four daughters and a grandkid now. ^^" But I do have that sub, and we all know that caring for a D-corp child is in the contract, so Levi will probably go to Sarah and her husband David.
Reign is out. Niki is out (SHE HAVING ALAN'S LOVEBABY). Talner is out (he got a second kid).
Levi is going to Sarah and David. Sarah wants kids and would probably continue to pester Alan until he gives her one. XDD

The animal
The Smith Line (SL) chicken is a mutant chicken. It is the best animal model for studying vitiligo, which is a disease that results in the loss of pigment cells, as it expresses all of the characteristics of the human disease. Also, since chicken pigment cells are located in the feather and these can be removed and replaced by the bird, they make an excellent study for before and during the onset of vitiligo using the same bird. SL birds have a very high chance of expressing vitiligo (70-95%) within the first 6-12 weeks of life.
These birds also have an increased rate of uveitis (which results in blindness). They can also have thyroid, eye, and skin problems.
The picture in the first post shows a normal colored male SL chicken on the left. The male in the middle has partial pigment loss while the rooster on the right has complete loss of pigment. It shows the progression of vitiligo in the SL bird.

FAQs
So... what on earth is this bird? The Smith line (or SL) chicken is a special mutant line that is a perfect model for vitiligo. Niki only knows about them because she works with them a lot.
YOU DON'T NEED ANOTHER KID!!!11!one! DX Uh... not a question, but... THESE KIDS ARE FUN AND ADDICTING!!
So... he'll have vitiligo? Yup!
He's gonna go blind?! Yes. Smith line chickens have a high rate of a disease that causes blindness. Our birds go blind rather often, sometimes only in one eye, but other times in both. I may change it to where he only goes blind in one eye, depending on what Ara says and such... Or I may decide to be nice to the poor boy... But he'll definately go blind in at least one eye and most likely both. At least he'll have a 'seeing-eye' dragon... XD Which will be able to talk to him!

Funds!
I'm waiting for the teacher's menu to go up, seeing how custom prices went up... I have like 1.3mil from both Peri and Sarah's salaries. Maybe that'll be enough? XD

Another picture: This is one my boss gave me of some of our birds... you can ignore the last one as it shows what the growing feather tissue looks like, which is what we collect in our lab to do our research on. *nods*
