I'm currently doing a persuasive speech on the subject - so maybe I can practice my techniques via online on all you skeptics. xp

well i beleive in it, i think its compeletly awesome and wish i had it. I just think you have to have a strong relationship with the other person for it to work, actually i just remeberd (grrr cant spell 2day) my mum grew up with a girl that she became best friends with, she moved to New Zealand 20 years ago and still lives here, while her friend lives back in the Netherlands. The thing is for the first ten or so years of living here they could read eachothers minds, know how eachother were feeling and kind of communicate with eachother, this stopped when they grew apart but its one of the reasons why i think its possible

I believe in telepathy, it's an ability that I think everyone possesses but it requires practice. Certainly, the stronger your link with a person the easier it is to connect to them. I don't believe in coincidences at all, in my opinion everything happens for a reason.
The most powerful experience I had was recent. A couple I know well moved to New Zealand (from England) a while ago. Anyways, I had started thinking about them a lot and got quite anxious when I did this, but had no way of contacting them yet. Within days my friends mum turned up on our doorstep. There had been a fire in their house in the middle of the night, thankfully they were both safe as their fire alarm had gone off but their dog had died and they had lost everything. Coincidence? I don't think so.
That said I would still like to hear your persuasive speech... biggrin

I sure do! I believe that everyone has these kinds of abilities. Only, some people can't control it and some people aren't as strong with them as others.
Any freaky experiences you’ve had?
The first one that I can remember was when I was at my grandparents' house. I was sitting in the kitchen talking to my Mamaw and my mom when I got this really strange feeling. For whatever reason, I got up and walked into the room where all my stuff was and picked up my cellphone. Right as I picked up my cellphone, it rang. That kind of thing happens a lot. Like, I'll be thinking about someone and then the phone will ring and it'll be that person I was thinking about. (I know that ones a common one)
Another one was when I was on the computer looking for songs by a particular band. Just randomly, I started singing this song I had never heard before (or at least didn't remember ever hearing before) and then I clicked on a link and that same song started playing.
And often times, things that happen in my dreams will happen within the following week.
I think that's just about it with my experiences.
Co-incidence?
I think not! I don't believe in co-incidences.

lately its been one "coincidence" after another like i'll be rthinking that the phone will ring and it will then i think its for me and it is and then im like its probably my gf and it is... weird.

Drew, everyone "has" it. There's even a section of our brain that's dedicated to the sixth sense- calle the ld, I believe. Just practice - send out those vibes, man. ^^

my moms a telepath she uses it on me when ever she thinks im lying about something she even talks to me threw the mind its wierd because i hear her voice but she doesnt even move her mouth. but tats another story alltogeter.

Well, I do believe in telepathy ... too many people have had too many experiences that all point to telepathy for it not to be there! Anyways, great speech! whee ... although that laugh freaked me out eek

I think that when someone says they have telepathy, I think they more mean they are strongly telepathic... I have had experiences I've described in the guild before I'd describe as telepathic, but I wouldn't say I really have telepathy... I do think that you could communicate with people if you had a strong connection (and probably some need) or you really needed to tell someone something (life and death situation kind of thing) it might be alot easier... But I think communicating at will with people you don't know it a bit... unattainable.
Someone also mentioned getting better with practice... How exactly would people practice telepathy?

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I don't mean that you actually practice telepathy as an ability but that you practice being open to telepathic frequencies.
How I see it is that we are all like radios sending and receiving telepathic information from others. Half the time we subconsciously listen (we find ourself gravitating towards people who are on the same frequency in life and such) and the rest of the time we push it away and don't listen.
By practicing Wicca, using divinatory tools, working with the chakras and all sorts of other things, we allow ourselves to actually listen to more of the information that we are picking up.

[nods] To add to that, just take time to listen. Lie down on the grass and just feel what's going on - usually if it's about to rain you can "feel" excited.
...and I got second in the final, but will be doing the speech at prize giving, as the winner talked like Foamy the Squirrel: repetive use of f***. Surprised she didn't get disqualified...

Yes, I believe in telepahy. I've had the "think about someone and then they call" and the "think about a song and then it plays on the radio" experiences before, but nothing huge. A friend of mine has said that he has had conversations in his dreams with a friend that they continued the next day...
