Heralds Halloween Roleplay
Anyone is welcome to join.
The setting is October 31st but since it’s too less time for people to Roleplay all in one night, it’s getting extended by a few nights before. Just one note, time passes REALLY slowly. Lily arrived with Kemuri to near the park at around 6 in the evening. Kemuri was holding a wooden crate over his head. As Lily stopped, Kemuri stopped behind her.
“Let’s set up here.” She said in a bright tone.
“Sure” Kemuri replied with a sigh. He set down the wooden crate and Lily pulled out a Sharpie and wrote ‘Candy for J00’ on the wooden crate on the sidewalk. She smiled at him as he smiled back. Lily ran back to her house and came back with two stools and a large bowl of candy. She Set the candy on the table and set the two chairs down for them to sit on while they wait for Heralds who quest for candy to arrive.
Kemuri could smell the homemade sweets Lily’s mom made for the special occasion. Kemuri attempted to take one.
“Only 1, Kemuri. They’re for the Heralds who want candy” Lily told him. He reached in and took a beautifully wrapped Chocolate and munched on it.
(( EDIT: Lily is wearing a black dress that has sort of thick tank top sleeves but go around her arm and not on her shoulder. think sort of a fallen strap on both sides but it was like that on purpose.
Kemuri is wearing a Unicorn costume. it was a sweater with holes for his wings and the hood on the sweater had a soft plush horn and unicorn ears. he wore white silvery, fleece pants and it had a deep blue tail sticking out of the back of them. the horn matches his wings.

Mackerel had run away from Elf, who had tried to get the child into her Halloween costume. The result, Mackerel running away half-dressed in her already 'revealing' wench costume! Elf and Arrakis had been slightly horrified -though Arra had laughed so hard she started hiccuping- at Mackerel's choice.... but the little Herald could not be dissuaded.
So there she was, little Mackerel running around, towards the park, with one sleeve under her arm and her ties loose and untied.
It was then that the smell of candy assailed her nose, and like any child she followed it. Mackerel came upon the box and knelt to look at it, her arms resting on her skirted knees, "Can-dy fo Joo?" She was proud she read it, but couldn't think of who Joo was.... Not like it mattered.
Mackerel reached in to grab one, and if anyone reprimanded her she'd just say her name was 'Joo'.

Kemuri looked oddly at the little girl who approached their stand. Lily smiled as the little girl reached into the bowl.
"help yourself." she said to the girl politely with a sweet, motherly smile.
Kemuri just stared at her... Kemuri sat there staring for a few seconds before he burst out laughing. Lily glared at him as he did the impolite thing of laughing at the Herald girl. Lily kicked him under the crate on the shin. He held his shin. he looked at Lily who was glaring right his way. she made a gesture with her eyes to welcome the girl to the stand.
"oh right. welcome to the Heralds Halloween stand. how may we help you young one?" he said politely trying not to laugh again.

"Shay, you really need to get out," Eamane remarked sticking her head into her charge's room.
Shayna looked up from her book and raised an eyebrow at her aunt. "Why?" She put the book down and streched her arms over her head. "I went out last week."
Eamane shook her head, " exactly, besides it's Halloween. Go and have some fun."
Shayna sighed and got up. She could tell from her tone that her gaurdian wouldn't give it up this time. "Fine, but I haven't got a thing to wear!" Sticking her tongue out at Eamane's retreating form she opened her closet door and began rummaging through her things.
Half an hour later Shayna, equipped with a pillowcase- it was halloween after all- was strolling through the park.She had pulled her colourful hair back and covered it with a dark scarf and another black scarf wrapped around her neck was supposed to cover the lower part of her face, she left it hanging loose though so she could talk. Her body was covered by a black, long sleeved satin blouse belonging to her aunt and was belted at the waist with a red scarf and tight black leggings covered her legs. She had to a plastic katana thrust through the scarf at her waist. Personally Shay thought it was to much clothing but a ninja was the best she could come up with on short notice.
Seeing a bit of a crowd gathering at one end of the park she wandered over. OO candy! Reaching over she grabbed a few and smiled at the people standing around.

Kemuri looked up from the young herald girl to see an older herald girl. he blushed as he looked her in the eye. he pulled his hood with the horn and ears over his head and covered someof his face to the girl dressed in black.
'awww... kemuri's shy' Lily thought as she smiled at the lady.
"what's your name, might i ask." she asked the girl dressed in black. Kemuri sat there with the hood pulled over his head.
'get a hold of yourself kemuri. it's only a girl. like Guin.' the herald thought to himself.

Mackerel pulled out her candy, glad she wasn't going to get into trouble. When the taller man laughed at her, the child turned and glared at him, her blue eyes flashing. She knew it wasn't polite to laugh!
Not sure what she could do, the girl stood straight, her arms close to her her sides, one of them around the candy. Her one arm was a little awkward, for the sleeve was under her arm. After awhile, she snorted, eyes still blazing, and went to find a place to sit.
She nodded in greeting to the woman, for she hadn't done anything.
When the other herald came by, Mackerel stared but didn't say anything. Instead, she found a place to sit and opened her wrapper to pop the delicious chocolate in her mouth.

Shayna's smile turned into a grin as she caught Kemuri's eye. Another Herald, she hadn't realized how long it had been since she'd seen one of her own. She felt herself holding back laughter at his obvious shyness and dropped his gaze in an attempt to make him less uncomfortable.
Turning her attention to the woman Shayna held out her hand, "I'm Shayna, It's very nice to meet you." She smiled at Kemuri again, "And you too."

she shook Shayna's hand and said "greetings~ This shy guy is Kemuri. glad to meet you too. i'm sure Kemuri is happy to meet you too. i'm Lily by the way." she smiled as the little girl found a place to sit and the teenage girl smiled at Kemuri.
Kemuri looked up from his hood by a little tiny bit and saw she was smiling at him. he waved a little bit with one of his hands which let go of the white hood.

"Lilly," Shayna repeated to fix the name in her mind, "And Kemuri." She giggled a little and looked for a place to sit. " I haven't seen you around before, are you new or am I just very unobservant?"
She reached up and removed the scarf on her head. Shaking out her brightly coloured hair out she sighed with relief. "It is far to warm for October" she said by way of explaination.

"we just arrived around the beginning of August. and Kemuri justdoesn't like going outside all the time." Lily smiled as she tugged out a fold out chair from under the Crate which seemed to be out of nowhere. things just happened to be there... "it sure is." she said with a smile. "you've got beautiful hair, Shayne" she said with a sweet smile.
Kemuri sat there with his hood still up. he tried avoiding eyecontact with the girl. Lily pulled his hood off with a sneaky tug. the hood came off and she shove it down the back of his shirt so he couldn't reach it so easily. Kemuri twitched as the hood got stuffed down his shirt. his face turned bright red.
"it's too warm for a hood, Kemuri" Lily told him.
"fine..." he replied softly.
"now you can see his face clearly." Lily said giggling as kemuri sat there twidling his thumbs nervously.

Shayna took the seat with a smile and blushed at the compliment, "Thank you. That would explain it. I've been a bit of a recluse myself lately, my aunt pratically had to kick me out tonight."
Now that Lily had uncovered Kemuri's face Shayna looked him over more carefully, "It's a very nice face" she replied in a teasing tone.

kemuri looked up at her and saw her face clearly too. "thank you." he said in a 'i'm hitting on you' tone and winked at her. he seems to be over his shyness.
"don't mind Kemuri. he's like this with all pretty girls such as yourself." Lily said to Shayna. Lily giggled as Kemuri tried to make the girl fall in love with him. it never seems to work out for him. he tried anyways.

Shayna had little- well actually no experience with boys and so the tricks that Kemuri employed didn't work very well on her. She just laughed. "Have you been to the sanctum yet?" she asked curiously.
Lily's comment made her blush again and she looked at Kemuri with more laughter in her eyes.

"not yet my dear lady. but if you'd be so kind to escort me anytime, i'd go." he replied holding her hand with both his hands. he kissed her hand lightly. Lily rolled her eyes with a soft giggle. Kemuri looked into her eyes in a dreamy gaze. Lily stepped on his foot and Kemuri got out of the dreamy haze. Kemuri's face winced as he glared at Lily.
"we're here to hand out candy. not flirt with Shayna" she said with a smile.
"fine." he said to her. "we shall talk another time when Lily is not all about responsibility and all." he said to her with a soft giggle.

Kotatsu led Guinevere into the gathering. Halloween was the first time she had seen Guinevere really excited about something. She meant so excited that the young Herald might pass out. Pucci was with them this time, walking along on kitty paws as Guinevere had said he was a necessary part of her costume. The poor cat looked uncomfortable, but that was probably because of the thought that Guin was likely to assault him as part of her outfit at any moment.
Guinevere walked along, dressed as a witch, She wore a sparkling black dress and fancy black shoes that Kotatsu was sure she'd trip and break her neck in. She wore a black hat with a ribbon on the side and Kotatsu had even let her wear a necklace with a cat charm. Along wth all this, she carried a broom and dragged Pucci along by the tail. She saw someone she knew and ran over to be admired in her new costume. It was that mystic black feather guy! "Ke-muuu-riiii!" she called. Pucci yowled as the speed with which he was being dragged increased sharply.
