I think I spelled them right . . . I don't even know if I got the name right. Anyway this year we started doing them at the barre and I can't even do them there, so you can imagine how bad I am when I try to do them without any sort of support; it's a big, spazzy mess!

Any tips? I want to be able to do then when I go back to class in the fall, I know we're gonna start doing them for real soon and I like to be one step ahead, or at least on the same page as the rest of the class!

Im confuzed!!! Ok, I think you are talking about the turns. My advice is before you start your turn pick a spot on the wall and spot that one spot on the wall (no pun intended) like your life depends on it. Also make sure you turn out before and during the turn and have a strong plie in your standing leg before the turn. Oh ya, and don't use to much force, you need enough to turn yourself around but if you use to much it will throw you off and it will be really hard to keep from falling at the end.

He well I can't exactly do those but I think spotting really hard is the best way to do it

oh hey i just learned to do those... i think using your arms helps, spotting, and plie deeply... also i think they plie in the opposite direction as a la seconds, right?

I'm okay with those.. I can do a few turns, but what my teacher tells me all the time is as long as you spot and find your balance after the first 2 or 3 turns your momentum helps you do them.. so advice from me is keep a good balance and spot...I hope that was a little help sweatdrop
