I'm pretty sure that was the short story Stephenie Meyer put on her website about Twilight in Edward's POV (Correct me if I'm wrong) was called Midnight Sun. I didn't like it. Edward's thoughts were so cruel toward Bella and her friends, that it changed how I thought of him. He was so judgemental of Jessica, Bella, and Mike..he seemed a bit cocky too. Anyone agree, or did everyone love it, but me?
(I did, however, enjoy getting to read how tormented Edward really felt when he was first attracted to Bella's scent. Stephenie Meyer created a work of art once again)

Well, I thought the interesting thing was how much being around Bella ended up changing Edward for the better. From Twilight and New Moon, we've only gotten to see their relationship from her point of view, and I'm definitely going to be interested in seeing it from Edward's. heart

I LOVED it...It made us see why Edward wanted to leave. He's a VAMPIRE I mean, if you're hungry you're hungry. All his cruel thoughts made us see why Bella disturbed him so much.

Well that was kind of the point. To show that he's basically an arrogant, holier-than-thou guy before he meets Bella. He's gone over a century of understanding peoples true intentions and thoughts, that he's realised people are, for the most part, shallow and liars. He assumes since this new girl is automatically friends with this group of people, and having no thoughts from her to tell him other wise, he assumes that she must be like them. Jessica who is basically the essence of all things wrong with highschool girls. Mike, who's obviously smitten with her for just her looks since he's just met her. And Lauren, who obviously dislikes her to a far extent. So she must just be hanging out with them so she can be popular, right? That's what he thought.
It showed us just how much Bella's changed him, from reading that one chapter, to knowing what he goes through by the end of Twilight so he can be with Bella.
And it's only chapter one. There's still a long way to go smile

You just have to look at the point that he has been around for hundreds of years with the ability to READ PEOPLES THOUGHTS. With that ability, wouldn't you be pretty sure you knew the human race...?

I loved it! I love seeing peoples different prespectives on the same thing. And I agree with what someone said about since he has been reading humans thoughts for nearly a century he thinks they're shallow and conceded, because lets face it a lot of people are. I hope she posts more or even better publishes it when she's finnished.

Yes, I did.
I loved it, don't get me wrong, but yeah, it made Edward seem shallow and little minded. But I like it beause it shows the hardships he goes through. At the moment though it only shows the fact that he wants her blood. Not the fact that he loves her.
Maybe it'll change as the book progresses.

I absolutely loved it. It explained how a vampire would be after finding the perfect meal, but restraining with every fiber of their being.
I thought it was lovely.
