Why does it have to be so hot? Amaterasu thought as she arduously wandered about, searching for any respite from the sun. Despite the cursed heat that had closed its jaws around the land, it was a beautiful sight. The grass was tall and inviting, and the slight breeze was a life-saver. It had been an eternity since she had seen such beautiful place. Her silver eyes slowly scanned the horizon to take it all in. Off in the distance, a gigantic rock jutted skyward, making her wonder if this had been the place she had been searching for. She had heard of such a rock... If her memory served her right, it was home to many lions and other creatures all living harmony. Not only that, but so many long years ago, she remembered her mother talking about it as if it was a land of magic, even saying that the animals that dwelled there shared a common belief with her family. Amaterasu couldn't imagine any better way to live. She had been searching for this very place ever since her meeting with Usu, who had given her a new spark of determination to find her place, and she was sure it was here. However, very few creatures were very welcoming to a wandering wolf, and her spirits sunk a little. She paused to think about the land, and decided that if she could make it in, this would be a perfect place for her to raise a family and everything. She sat, and dared not enter without permission from the ruler of the lands, but also dared not move from the borders. She whined over her private miserable situation, laid her head on her paws, and thought of how long she could survive on the outskirts of the gorgeous lands.

-A wide yawn spread Hadaya's creme muzzle, eyes squinting shut against the brightness, as she made her way through the grasslands. Her thoughts drifted softly to the events of recent and to the future, mind flipping through thoughts like pages in a book.
Truely her time had come, the thing that she'd trained for was about to come true.. but not quite yet. Sighing softly to the picture of her golden queen grieving alone among the rocks, she paused for a moment. It was what she wanted.. and it wasn't the time to push her into doing queenly things she didn't want to. But still.. she felt so helpless. No advice worth giving.. no words to make better the pain that rippled through her companion.
Trying to brush the thoughts aside Hadaya began to run, grass whipping at her sides as she tore through the savvanah and towards the outer lands. If her mind would only give her painful thoughts, then she just needed to not think for awhile.-

Amaterasu's thoughts were broken when she heard grass stems snapping at a quick pace a short ways away. A concerned look spread across her face and she wondered if whatever it was big enough to hurt her. She listened closer and realized it was coming away from that big rock. She had to ask it to help her get in; this might be her only chance! She popped up from the grass so quickly that she was just a blur of black and white and gave a yip. She only hoped it was loud enough for the brown animal to hear. Once she stopped moving, she studied it again with her eyes; a wolf. She bounced happily after the wolf, hoping that she would be able to get into the lands with its aid.

-Hadaya's blue eyes widened visably when her path was broken by the other wolf. Not an unpleased look persay, but obviously surprised.
Since her time in the Pridelands she'd seen what... two other wolves.. and one she'd pretty much lead in herself. This was a treat indeed. Well.. as long as the other female was friendly.. but she certainly didn't look intimidating or anything.
Interest immediately perking, she lifted her tail in a friendly manner, letting the dualy hued brown tail sway back and forth.- "Hello there!"

"Good day" Amaterasu said joyfully. Finally, life had looked up for her and given her a chance. She was certain now that this wolf would be able to help her; and she knew so little about Hadaya. "My name is Amaterasu, but you could call me Ammy for short if you would like," she said, oozing with politeness as she bowed her head. "I'm so sorry if I startled you! I was wondering, do you live over near that big rock?" She asked. She didn't know the land was named the Pridelands, nor did she know the rock was termed Pride rock, but she guessed they had some name, and she felt rather stupid for not knowing a better name than 'that big rock.' She continued to interrogate before the brown female had an opportunity to respond, "I've heard such wonderful things about the place... I truly would love to go check it out at the very least. Is that at all possible?"

-She'd been ready to offer her own name, when the flood of words spilled from the other wolf, and she couldn't help but laugh a little, taking a moment to pull the words apart.
Bowing her head in return she offered her name.- "Hadaya, nice to meet you." -Before her eyes turned skywards, and she nodded a little.- "Yeah, I live on the rocks actually."
-Ammy's excitement was infectious, and even though Hadaya barely knew this wolf, and had been heading in the other direction, she nodded in soft agreement.- "Sure you can come and see it. Everyone is allowed to wander about the pridelands freely. I can give you a tour if you like. There is a lovely view from the ledges."

"That would be wonderful!" Ammy said. She had completely regressed to puppyhood in her excitement. She hadn't really been in a community since she left her family. So much was falling into place as she had imagined it. She knew she would be able to find her niche here. If everyone in the Pridelands was like Hadaya, she knew she'd be able to make her home here easily. She started towards the borders, more than happy to have a guide.

-Taking up the lead, only a step or two ahead of being right alongside Ammy, Hadaya led the way into the familar lands, her eyes far more intersted in the ivory canine.- "There aren't many other wolves around, not that I've seen atleast. But there are alot of different things in the pridelands."
"Lions, jackels.. lots of food too." -Her tail sway as she led along.-

Ammy stayed a step or two behind Hadaya, listening intently. "All friendly, I presume?" she asked before she could stop herself. She was always a tad awkward around other species, but she was certain that this desenitization would be good for her.

"They supposed to be yes, it's a law of the land. To treat all pride members equally, no matter what species."
"Of course, everyone has their grumpy days, so you might not necessarily like everyone. But there are so many members, you'll have plenty to choose from."
-She laughed a little, letting her paws carry her towards the quickly growing rocks in the distance. And finally she asked a question of her own.- "What about you? Where did you come from? Like I said, I don't see many wolves out here."

"I'm from far far away... I don't even know in which direction, I've wandered so long," Ammy replied with a slight chuckle. "I kind of miss my family, but I needed to get out of there. They lived in such a small world," Ammy said, staring at the big rocks. They truly were huge, even bigger the closer you got. She was amazed that such a big structure (if one could call it that) existed. It gave her a rush inside. Returning to the topic of conversation, she continued, "This is a much bigger world. The bigger it gets, the more I'm pleased with it." Ammy was almost happy to be one of very very few wolves here. She didn't really understand the feeling, it's just how she felt.

((*pets* I'm so sorry, I've been so laxed on inspiration lately. crying But your girl is already OOCly accepted, so feel free to start rping her in the lands, even before we finish this up. ))
"Well I can understand that." -Hadaya's smile widened softly, her mood lifted simply by the enthusiasm and apparent youth of the wolf in tow. And as they drew near enough to the rocks for them to tower far above she paused in her tracks, asking softly.- "Would you like to go up? Or would you like me to bring the queen down to you?"

((Cool! No problem for the wait, I understand completely. xd )) Amaterasu couldn't even imagine being regal enough to actually have a queen be brought to her. Ammy was just a wanderer thus far, and really wanted to go up the rocks herself. "I'd love to go up," Ammy said, craning her head to see if she could even spot the top. She couldn't. She started to grow nervous, slowly. She'd never seen a real queen before. You've got to be strong to go talk to this queen.Ammy thought to herself as she kept a step or two behind Hadaya. No jitterbugs, she's probably no different from any other lion. Amaterasu's thoughts calmed her enough to cover up the slight nervousness, and she continued on.

-Nodding softly, Hayada lept forward, settling on one stone before she leapt to another, offering down a few words of warning, along with a mild grin.- "Make sure you land on each stone as close to the middle as possible. Our claws make it a little harder to climb the rocks."
-And gently she lead, peeking back to make sure the ivory wolf still followed without trouble.-
-From atop the rock, the lioness lounged gently in the sunlight, almost asleep as she let the sun warm her pelt.
Ears twitching softly as the familar soft tap of claws rattled against the rocks, she opened her eyes, waiting for the form of her advisor to touch her sight.-

Amaterasu's paws met the first rock with perfect ease, however, when she lept, her claws slipped and she clumsily flopped onto the next rock. Saying nothing, she shook her head and got up. More carefully this time, she lept to the next rock. The rest of the way she handled gracefully. She glanced upward and saw a golden pelt just in sight on top of the main rock that jutted out from the rest. That's the queen, no doubt. Ammy thought. She knew it had to be a lionness, but every lion she had met thus far had been kind. She continued on up, keeping behind Hadaya.
