Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not American, nor fulle from the UK (I'm half. :S)
But I've lived in a small country called Denmark my entire life, and thus Danish is my first language, and the language that I'm best with.
So now I'm wondering; what language should I write it in?
What are the rest of you going to do?
(Please tell me if I forgot an option in the poll.)

I'll be writing in English, since it's my first language. I'm debating whether to add other languages or not, but I don't think I will...Unless there's a situation where translating into a foreign language will tack on a whole bunch of extra words. mrgreen

English is my first language, so I'll be writing in English. But I did take 3 years of French in high school, so I may find a way to slip some in there. ninja

English, mostly, but I'm still debating the nationality of my Male MC. Prompts I've done (that won't be included in the story unless I fully rewrote them) end up with him being somewhat French, but I barely know any of that.
And Japanese is getting too stereotypical, even though I love it so.

Give your MC a strange quirk where he says something in one language and is then compelled to repeat it in the other. wink

I'm writing my story in English, though the main character in the story will be half Latina so it will have Hispanic references in there and vocab in Spanish.

obvious oxymoron gonk Danish? English? Danish? English? xp I can't choose. Write in Danish if that is what you are more comfortable using. You could always translate it into English later if you want English readers to be able to read it (though that would be a real hassel :S). Consider who you want to read it - people who speak English, or your Danish peers.

I'm writing mine in English, but since it's a fantasy story, I get to just make up a bunch of words all the time. xd

English, I love my language. heart But I'm a linguistics-freak, so I can't guarantee I won't slip in a line in a different language... ninja

English since it is my native tongue.
Although I am learning spanish (third year have barely learned a thing) so I might add a few spanish sentences and such.
I'm interested in learning Italian (because my Grandma speaks Italian) and a few other lingos that I am to lazy to type.

English. It's the only language I know fluently. I may slip in a few foreign words, phrases, or names now and then though.

Dutch. If I try to write a story in English I always start doubting my own knowledge of its grammar and stuff, or I'll forget how to say some really obscure, never-used word and need to grab a dictionary. It would be too slow.
