Today is my 7th anniversary, and right before he went to bed, my husband handed me one of his credit cards and told me that if I wanted my doll to arrive by Christmas that I needed to go ahead and place the order. I actually started crying because it was so sweet.
So I just placed my order for my DOD Shall. I am going to name her Wilhelmina after my late grandmother (her name was actually Wilma), but call her Mina for short.
I can't wait to see her! I'm doin' the happy dance! whee

Congrats on sucha sweet gesture! My grandmosther was named Wilma too, though hers was short for Wilhelmina( Frederika Something Van-Something...long name xp )
I cant wait to see her! My sis wants to get a Shall eventually herself and I jsut adore the mold!

aww that's so sweet. i want a husband xp jk a boyfriend would suffice fine. anyhow, ur sooo lucky! back before i decided i'm more of a msd size person, i was planning to buy shall as my first girl. she was gonna be going out with a homme duncan. unfortunately im already like a 4/5 scale person XD shortness so a 1/3 doll doesn't work as well for me, and msds can seal my sis's american girl doll furniture

Darn it, I knew there was a reason to actually be interested in having a boyfriend. xd Even my sister's girlfriend is kicking in money to get one of her dolls (mostly because said girlfriend also fell in love with Ducan wink ), and here I am having to foot the bill for mine all by myself. Sigh. Maybe I can raise monies by selling high quality handknit stuff for dolls for relatively cheap? Hmm.
Congrats on the doll, and the anniversary. I love to hear that a significant other understands and accepts a hobby (be it dolls, knitting, beading, or what have you) so well as to support you in it. whee

I told him tonight that the consensus is that he's very sweet and very brave (to which our daughter screamed out 'no he's not, he's scared of spiders'). He said that ever since he's known me I've been into dolls, even if it's in shifts. I had a huge Gene doll collection when we met that I slowly sold off, then later I got into Tyler, and so on. So there've always been dolls around...just not this large and expensive. He seems relieved at the fact that I only have my eye on one other doll, so Shall may have a little sister on the way fairly soon!

What your Daughter saiD is something i've saiD about my DaD many times... blaugh That is very sweet. I wish someone woulD give me their creDit carD to buy a Doll.

kamiyra Darn it, I knew there was a reason to actually be interested in having a boyfriend. Trust me, it doesn't always work that way. I just had my six year.. and my boyfriend didn't get me anything at all. BUT CONGRATS ON THE DOLL! I hope you enjoy it!

My bf will be giving me the money for xmas ^^ than i gotta give the money to my parents so they can put it on the credit card and i can order it X_X; so much hassle.
