{Just made this cause I was bored xD Anyone's free to join!}
The runt of the sea pride sat by the edge of the water, bright blue eyes fixed on the horizon. The cub was bright green, a shade that reminded most who met her of some kind of seaweed. This was reenforced by the fact that she had draped her small form in the stuff, weaving it into her tailtuft and the small fringe that flopped into her face from time to time. It was also hung around her neck, along with some other bits of twine, rock, and various shells she had found on the beach. The overall impression she gave off was one of eccentricy, if not outright insanity.
The cub was frowning. She almost always frowned at the sea, not in anger, but in concentration. Miani firmly believed that if she tried hard enough, the sea would speak to her, confessing all of its watery secrets. Her dark tailtip flicked idly behind her as she sat, making the shells clink together musically. So far, the sea hadn't spoken a word.

((I hope it's alright for my lioness to join in...she's just been wandering nearby. Her picture is in my sig.))
Shimah could hear the distant sound of something, something she does not know. Her ears pricked in curiosity as she bound forward. The air began to smell different and her paws began to sink. Her eyes blinked slightly as there was sand everywhere! It was so different to the grass she was used to. She eyed her surroundings and noticed the scents of other lions as curiosity got the better of her. She walked through the beach before spotting a green figure off in the distance. Her head tilted in shock, it was a cub and this cub was green! She was surprised and happy to find another lion the same color as herself, now she could say that she wasn't the only one who had this strange color. She called out cautiously to the cub, "Hello?"

{XD Just gonna point out that the Sea Pride is realllyyyy far away from the other prides.. I got a map around here somewhere, but it'd probably be the journey of a few days at least, from any other pride's lands, so it's probably unlikely that someone would just accidentally stumble in unless they were like.. really.. wandering... off for a long time? XD; Just sayin'.}
Miani blinked and tore her gaze from the seaside, turning it instead onto the larger green lioness. Though indeed she too was the only green lion that SHE knew of, it had never bothered her... in fact, the small cub probably hadn't even noticed the fact that her brothers and sisters were all shades of blue-grey and navy. It was the sort of thing she'd overlook.
"Hello," she returned the greeting cautiously, having not seen this particular lioness around before. As she turned, the seaweed and shells she was draped in rattled and clinked softly. Bright blue eyes narrowed thoughtfully at the other lion.
"Are you a child of the Sea?" she asked finally, her tiny form almost comical in its seriousness.

((She's been wandering since she was a cub. 3nodding ))
Shimah watched the small cub curiously, not at all realizing this was the ocean. She blinked at the question, unsure of how to answer it. "Child of the Sea...I don't think so. I don't know what the Sea is?" She questioned the cub, wondering what that meant. Was it a good thing or a bad thing. "I am Shimah. I hope I didn't interupt you, but this place is amazing! Nothing like I've ever seen before!"

{Alright then biggrin Excellent}
Miani stared at the other lioness, and then laughed a high-pitched, tinkling laugh. "This is the sea!" she exclaimed, waving a tiny paw at the expansive waters that went on to the horizon. "And since you didn't know that, I expect you're NOT a child of the sea," she added without malice. Her tone was very matter-of-fact, though oddly faint. She turned her piercing gaze back to Shimah, smiling.
"Of course it's amazing. And no, you dont bother me at all." she replied in a more cheerful tone. "I'm Miani, a princess of the Bahari'mtoto." she said with a little nod. The tossing in of her position in the pride didn't seem to be smug at all, simply factual. She hunkered down into a crouch, watching the bigger lioness with fascination. "What's it like where you come from?" She asked curiously. She'd seen a few outsiders around before, and they all expressed such wonder at the sparkling waters and cool sands that Miani had come to the conclusion that the rest of the world must be something wholly different.

Shimah listened to Miani with a large smile, gazing at the blue sea. It was the largest body of water she has ever seen. She shook her head, "No, I'm not from the sea, but from the Pridelands. There is no sea there, but smaller watering holes. It's just mainly grass, some trees and lots and lots of lions. I don't think it's that special or anything." She pawed slightly at the sand, watching it move away from her paw as it raked through it. She flicked her tail before her eyes widen, not at the sea but at Miani. "I would have never guessed a pride would live here. And a princess! I've never met a princess before either. It is a pleasure to meet you."

"Grass and trees?" Miani repeated thoughtfully. They had grass and trees there, of course, but they were small and sparse and located further up from the beach, near the dens the pride used. She couldn't really imagine a land made entirely of grass & trees.
"Oh yes," she affirmed with a nod that made her many shell bangles tinkle. "The pride here is the Bahari'mtoto. It's not very big, though," she added thoughtfully. In fact, as far as she knew it consisted entirely of her family and the odd wanderer into their territory. Since Miani was not often around someone who WASN'T royalty, having spent all her time with her family, she was a bit confused by Shimah's impressed tone at her title. "It's not really that special," she assured the larger lioness. "My brothers are all princes," she explained, as if that made everything make sense. "But it's nice to meet you too. Are you going to stay here?" she inquired rather abruptly.

((I am so sorry about the wait...real life got really busy suddenly. ^^;; ))
Shimah looked at Miani and laughed softly. She didn't really know the royals in the pridelands because they were so many. "This seems like a wonderful place, not too many members...the Pridelands had so many lions there, I didn't really know any of the important lions other than a few friends and my family," She paused before looking around, taking everything in. This is a wonderful place, she could tell it'd be nice. "Well, actually now that you mention it, I was looking for a place to settle down at. The first place I looked at and liked, I had little success...but this place seems it. Would I be able to stay here?" She asked, hoping that she wouldn't have to wander anymore. Perhaps this is how her mother felt before she settled down in the Pridelands.

Miani yawned widely, showing off a very pink tongue and sharp little teeth. She smiled up at the larger lioness, tailtip flicking lazily in the sand.
"Probably," she replied with a shrug. "Mama and Papa let almost anyone stay if they agree to our rules. You'd have to talk to them though 'cause they both like to meet the lions that come here," she supplied helpfully, tilting her head. Normally she was a bit cool with strangers, but she liked this lioness. After all, green lions had to stick together, right?
"There's been a couple other lions around lately," the little princess remarked offhandedly, gazing out at the sea once more. "I think the pride is growing..."

Shimah smiled, "I will have to seek them out then. I think this is one of the nicest places I've seen and I wouldn't mind staying here." Her tail flicked lazily before she eyed the water. Taking a few steps towards the ocean, she dipped her paw in to the cool water. She got an idea before she flicked some water at Miani playfully, "Let's play in the water!"

Miani smiled a bit at the older lioness - an odd expression on the face of a cub so serious. She nodded. "I am sure they will be glad to have new members," she answered primly, tailtip flicking.
And then...! Yelping as Shimah splashed her, the little princess shook the water off her fur and glared playfully at her new friend. She may have been a bit serious for her age, but she WAS still a cub. "You just made a very big mistake!" she growled, leaping after Shimah and trying to knock her bodily into the water.

Shimah couldn't help but laugh at Miani. "Oh really? Should I start trembling now?" She stuck out her tongue as she tried not to fall down by Miani. A few steps and she caught her balance, but not without an attack of her own. She swiped her tail against the water and watched it fly towards her target. She made sure to be close enough to Miani to get her with water, but far enough as to not be knocked off her paws.

"Yes," the cub replied with a scowl, shaking the water out of her fluffy coat and whirling around to face her "foe" again.
"Blach!" the little princess exclaimed as Shimah's pawful of water hit her full in the face. She spat it out and pulled a face.
Looking around for something to give her an advantage over the larger lioness, Miani spotted a rock jutting out of the water a few feet away. She scrambled towards it and scaled it quickly, blunt claws scrabbling at the moss-covered surface. She then took quick aim and threw herself off of it..right onto Shimah.

Shimah was giggling at Miani's surprise and not paying attention to where the little lioness was heading. Her paws danced in the water, with a large smile on her face at the fun they were having together. Though, no sooner had she taken her eyes off of Miani did she feel some weight land on her back. She was surprised and yelped. She jumped up slightly before a little green tail caught her eye and she laughed, "Miani!! You cheater!"

Miani scrambled up Shimah's back and clung to her head with both paws, baring her tiny fangs in an upside-down grin as she peered at the older lioness.
"Gotcha now!" she crowed, little tail whipping to and fro behind her proudly. Now Shimah couldn't splash her without getting herself wet. Ingenius!
