Is it just me, or do pro-life people tend to try and send pro-choice people on guilt trips? I must recieve 50 forward messages a day from pro-life people with little pictures of crying jesus babies with something cheesy like "a letter to my mommy - a murderer" underneath. I got one where it said "Dear mommy, why don't you want me? I just wanted to be loved, and you got an abortion. Now I'm sitting on jesus's knee in heaven where people actually love me. I wish you could've cared a little more."
Yuck.
Does this stuff ever make you guys guilty? It just irritates me.

Nope, it just pisses me off.
Those kinds of pro-lifers do not have any logic to back up their claims, only low tactics such as that.
Why can't more pro-lifers be like kp606? He's a really good debater, and actually presents valid points that I actually have to think about.
Go kp! ^.^

Nope, not guilty.
- Appeals to emotion (end of argument, really). - Beliefs based on the Christian one (alienates other belief systems, as well as there is no proof of an afterlife established, muchless the validity of the christian one). - Aside from the last point, there's still debates on where unborn children spend their alleged eternity in the range of viewpoints in the christian community - Newborns only have rudimentary communicating skills, much less sophisticated than the cognition and abilities required to fluently speak a human language -What's the abortion rate per given moment of time? How many knees does this Jesus figure have to accomodate for all the unwanted children?
ok.. before I look even more sillier, I'll stop here for now. LOL! xd

Why should I feel any guilt for being pro-choice? I'm not the one trying to repress women's rights to their own bodies. What do I have to feel guilty about?

People stopped sending me forwards like that because I always PMed them back "I do not force my beliefs on you, I ask that you please not force yours on me." That went for all forwards dealing with religion, politics, and abortion, and of course various other things.
I do not feel guilty. I feel annoyed.

I never get them because I've made it very clear that:
1. My viewpoint is my own and unless it's backed up with something more than emotion, an appeal doesn't even reach me. 2. I'm not a member of any known religion. I have beliefs (such as reincarnation) but I don't believe in heaven or hell. 3. Everyone who knows my e-mail address knows not to mess with me. Everyone gets a different e-mail alias @ssokolow.com and anything I consider spam (anything I've clearly said I don't want) results in a deactivation pending an investigation. 4. I'm pro-choice by default. (Unless it harms (or otherwise inconveniences to an equal or greater extent) someone else, people should be allowed to do anything they want.)
...and I don't want them. It's just too much hassle to argue with people who won't really listen to what I say.
