( I'll think of a better title later. xDD )

The blue and purple hued female marched herself out of the den opening, as the morning sun began to rise into the sky. The orange, yellow, and red tones amused her for 1.5 seconds, before she became bored. Looking back into the cave, she grinned, eyeing up Wahabu. This was her chance to torture him even more than before.

She padded lightly into the silent slumbering family, as she inched closer to her brother. "ooooh Wahabuuu ~" She gingerly spoke to him, as she began to pester him into waking up. Kilango began the process by kicking him lightly, then biting his ears. She followed it up with sitting on his tail, and screaming in his ear.

As she yelled, their parents began shifting about, slightly awoken by the noise. Her ears lowered, as she stood still for a moment. "Lets Go, Wahabu." She slanted her eyes and then dragged him out of the den by his tail, as she grasped to it tightly in her jaws. ... ... "You'll wake up soon enough, or else i'll beat you silly." She left their home with Wahabu still sleeping, dragging along behind the little devilish female.

She came to a small pool of water, and then threw him into it, in a fury. "Wake up, STUPID!" She growled angrily.

Wahabu's deep sleep would cost him, though he was ignorant to this fact as he simply continued to dream intensely. It was nothing new to him, merely strange flashes of mama in a strange land with a strange lion. He never knew his dreams actually meant something, he'd never really questioned in. Today, the dreams were quickly forgotten as he faded into consciousness as he was dragged into the early sunlight by seemingly a strange pain in his tail. The pure white feather he normally wore tucked behind his ear now drifted to the ground on the way out from the den, left abandoned by the mouth. His eyes opened just enough to spot the blur of blue that was his sister just as she shoved him into the water.

"YEE!" he squealed, immediately made wide awake by the stark cold and wet of the pool. Wahabu scrambled out of the water as fast as his feet would carry him out of it, "Kilango!" His voice was caught somewhere between a scold and a whine, he wasn't happy with being thrown in the water but he didn't want to start a fight.

Kilango hissed, as her brother finally awoke from his slumber. "Finally your up. ... ... you slept like a huge stupid rock!" She shouted, as she came around to Wahabu's side and began nipping at his fur.

She circled him a few times, before taking off once again. She fled into the tall grasses, where she was only hidden for a little time. Her blue still stood out fairly well in the greens. "Catch me if you caaan ~ you wimp!" She cackled lightly to herself, and went deeper into the blades of yellow-green foliage.

Wahabu whined inwardly and shook the water from his fur as Kilango shouted at him for sleeping so soundly, frowning. He couldn't help it if he didn't wake up easily, but there was no point telling his sister that. And it was lucky he finished shaking off just before Kilango came and nipped at his side, for he didn't want to test how she felt about getting splashed right now. He flinched a split second before she nipped as well, expecting something of the sort from her.

"You should sleep more! I can't help it," he murmured after her, his voice decreasing in volume as he spoke. He obviously was afraid to outright scold her or defend himself even though he wanted to. When she suggested a game, he was hesitant to follow after her. Wahabu watched her disappear into the grass before finally stepping forward. He bit his lip and decided to at least give it a try, and dove into the grass after her.

The blue and purple hued cub raced through the grasses as quickly as she could, and then paused her motions. She stood still for a moment, before lying down gently onto the ground. A wide grin swept her maw, as she patiently awaited the arrival of her brother to the spot she was at. She kept herself silent, and perked her ears to listen. A rustling noise wasn't too far off, she pointed out to herself. Her tail flicked around impatiently, as she waited for Wahabu to enter the perimeter. She whispered under her breath, as she began counting down. " ... ... three, two ... ... one."

As she ceased to talk, her brother had come into her sight. Now was her chance to get at him even more. As he approached, she lept up quickly, and screeched as loud as she could. "WAHABUUU ~ " She jumped over the kneeling cub, and turned around, to quickly scare him once more. "... your mine!" Her eyes slanted with hate, as she extracted her claws and took a nice big cut out of the fur upon his back. As she lept back, she mark became more clear, and full of blood. She raised her paw to examine the new encounter on herself. She curiously licked it, and then grinned even more as she licked her maw with excitement. ...

Wahabu recalled how he and K'Anatak had played a similar game, and combined with his interest in at least trying to trust his sister he was quite enthusiastic in his race through the grass. Even if he didn't find Kilango, he could have fun just jumping around. He was quite surprised by how much energy he had after just waking up, but he suspected his deep sleep and being dunked in water helped to keep him up and going now. He had just slowed down to look around for his sister when the sound of breathing caught his ears, Kilango counting. He didn't know what it was, and by the time he spotted the source of the breaths it was too late.

He yelped loudly at the screeching of his name and ducked down- leaving his back well exposed for her next move. When she reached out and actually struck him, he tumbled to his side and away from her. The shorter blades of grass were not pleasant on the fresh wound, but he wasn't so concerned with that- he just stared at Kilango as she tasted the blood and had the most wicked grin Wahabu had seen in awhile.

"What was that for?!" he demanded shakily, inching back further.

Kilango looked away for a moment, before padding back up to Wahabu. She stared at her sibling, and then slanted her eyes. "You know Wahabu, I really don't know." She chuckled lightly, and then flicked her tail in Wahabu's direction. She watched him suffer, as she smiled. "I never do know why I do the things I do. ... ... but, I like to do them. The pure fun and ability of being able to hurt someone satisfies me to no end. ... ... and, now it is yours." She reached out as she put her claws up to his neck. She felt the flow of the warm, tasteful blood in his veins. Just as she was about to go at him again, she peered behind herself. A figure was close by, a taller one, at that. It must be Kizamaji! "That stupid moron of a father always has to ruin my fun. ... ... I'll deal with you later, you lousy runt." She growled angrily, and then fled off back into the grasses. The brush fell silent, like she was never even there.

The grasses blew lightly, as a tall, blue sillohette approached.

"... ... are you oka -- Wahabu!" He dashed over to his son and gently picked him up in his large maw. Looking back and forth, he cautiously padded back out of the grasses, as he headed back to the den. Maybe Mtima would be able to help him out? He was hoping that was the case.

Wahabu was staring at Kilango as she explained her inexplicable desire to and joy in causing pain, especially to him. He couldn't imagine ever feeling that way about hurting someone, it would drive him mad if he intentionally did something like what she did- especially in the guise of a game! It was then that he truly saw the difference between him and his sister, the difference that their mother had always seen. He jumped when her claws came back to his neck and implied that this time his life was in danger- he did the only thing he could think to do, and that was jerk his head back and away from the claws of his sister. This just drew her sharp claws along his neck, giving him more cuts. Luckily, it didn't seem Kilango had time to retaliate as she suddenly announced their father was near.

He gurgled a sigh of relief as it was clear Kilango was leaving, and he turned his head towards the tall, familiar and safe silhouette of his father. His eyes were still wide and his back was marked with blood, and his neck looked soon to be about the same.

"Baba!" he called out, when Kiza came through the grass. When he was picked up, he winced but was more pleased to be saved. "Kilango- she- she-" he murmured, trying to find the words to explain what happened but he couldn't finish. She wouldn't like being told on, and maybe they wouldn't want to hear it. As long as he didn't get seriously hurt, it shouldn't matter, right?

Kizamaji dashed through the grass and towards the den. As he approached, he ran inside of it, and then placed Wahabu down. "Mtima!" He cried loudly for a moment, until she appeared before him. He came closer to his mate, and then nodded towards their son. "I think Kilango went a bit too far, Mtima. This is serious! She could've killed him! ... ... I know it was her. I just have this feeling. Theres no pridelander who would ever dare to do that to their own family." He came back to the little cub's side and picked him up once more, as he carried Wahabu over to Mtima'safi.

He sat him down on the ground, and then looked his mate in the eyes, with a serious look. "... ... is there anything you can do to help the healing process, dear?"

Wahabu squeaked inwardly when he was put on the ground, and with a sigh rested his head on the ground. His neck hurt, and he thought it might feel better not to have to hold his head up. His ears turned so he could listen carefully to what his parents said, and was caught between a smile and frown of relief when his father immediately recognized what had happened. They knew she did that to him, he didn't have to tell on her and this meant he might be safer later on.

Mtima was awoken as soon as Wahabu hit the ground and the first syllable left Kiza's lips, it wasn't hard to tell there was some sense of panic to whatever was going on. She got to her feet and jogged towards them to find out what was going on. Her only hope was that whatever it was, it was not too serious. Her eyes widened when she saw Wahabu, with blood on his fur- most alarmingly there was some on his neck. She stared dazed at the poor cub while Kiza explained, and finally settled for a serious frown.

"She- she-" she tried to comment but found no words. There was nothing for her to say- she couldn't wonder why she would do it, she knew it just how she was. "It's lucky you found them before that happened," she said finally, immediately settling to the ground to clean off Wahabu's wounds when he was placed before her- it was instinct, and the only thing she could do for him. The disguised goddess looked up at Kiza sadly, "There's nothing I can do, the body is very different from the soul.." With an inward frown, she gently started to clean the wounds and the blood from Wahabu's fur.

Kizamaji sighed lightly, as Mtima spoke to him. "Ah, I suppose your right. It is quite different." He gave a sigh of relief once he knew that Wahabu would infact be okay, but he was still curious to why Kilango would even dare do that to her own brother. He frowned, still questioning everything that had happened. He looked to Wahabu, and then sat down beside Mtima'safi's warm side, to snuggle with her. "So, now we have to look for her. Its really dangerous that Kilango is out there on her own. ... ... theres no telling what she can do to some of the other pridelanders." He stared out to the cave opening, worry in his eyes. "How can a cub that young have so much hate in her blood? ... its unthinkable."

Wahabu seemed to melt into his mothers warm paws, not feeling so well now. He was so confused by how Kilango treated him, how all girls seemed to act. All but mama, anyway. Maybe girls just didn't like him, or maybe girls don't like boys- but then why would mama like baba? He shivered and sighed, just wanting to lay here and know he was safe. He barely listened to what his parents were saying, though he did hear everything. His attention wasn't focussed there.

Mtima started to clean the blood and dirt off of Wahabu's back and neck, licking as gently as she could manage. In her long lifetime of experience, she'd not felt quite the same as she felt at that moment. She'd known from the start that Kilango was likely to cause trouble but she'd hoped that a loving family would be able to cancel out some of inclinations that she couldn't prevent. She'd noticed that Wahabu avoided Kilango, but didn't think there was reason behind it. The goddess listened attentively to her mate while she worked, and there was a delay before she replied while she finished cleaning off the marks on his back. Luckily Kilango had small paws and claws, or this might have been worse.

"What will we do when we find her?" She asked, looking over at Kiza, "Kiza, she's not good- attention and love don't seem to help.. they're very different." Mtima looked back at Wahabu sadly. It didn't seem that Wahabu and Kilango could be more different; Kilango was female, blue and had a dark soul while Wahabu was male, yellow and had a good soul. They were perfect opposites, it seemed. Even in color. She sighed and started to clean off Wahabu's neck.

Kizamaji just shrugged. He had no idea what they would do once they got ahold of her. Maybe punish her, perhaps? He sighed. "I really don't know ... but, what I do know is, we need to keep her out of the way of the other pridelanders. If she does ANYTHING to hurt them, we could be banned from the Pridelands. I do want our family to be happy, just like always." He looked to Wahabu as Mtima pointed out the differences between the two cubs -- and she was exactly right. They were complete opposites. He was almost stunned by the idea, as he just pondered, in awe.

"Maybe its time we go looking for her? ... ... or, maybe you should. I'm sure you'd do more persuading than me. ... She calls me her stupid father. Especially since we can't leave Wahabu here all alone. I'm willing to look after him while you search for Kilango." His eyes widened, as he turned to his mate. He stood up, and then came over to sit down in Mtima'safi's place. Although he didn't have the 'motherly' touch, he would do anything to reunite their little family. "I'm sure you'll have no problem finding her. Her soul is probably the strongest within the Pridelands, or one of the strongest." He lightly grabbed his son, and held him gently between his large paws.

Mtima continued to clean Wahabu's wounds while Kiza thought about what would be the appropriate course of action. She started when he mentioned that if something happened, they could be banned from the Pridelands. She'd be very upset if it came to that point, but who would really blame a cub- even if she did something truly terrible? No, if something happened where they were no longer welcome she would take the cub away herself and let Kiza and Wahabu stay here. They belonged here more than her and her daughter, it seemed- and finding this similarity wasn't much of a comfort. The goddess stopped and looked over a Kiza seriously, nodding slowly to his suggestion.

"I wouldn't think much upon being called stupid, I think it's her favorite word," she said with a sigh, and carefully removed her paws from beneath the resting yellow cub to let Kiza take over where she was. She gave Kiza a small smile when he commented on Kilango's soul, even with such an unruly daughter there was a bias, and niether of them could help it really. Of course, her soul was strongly inclined one way, and that was was distinct in this area so it surely wouldn't be too difficult to find her. She stood up and gave Kiza an affectionate lick on the nose.

"I'll go find her," she murmured.
