In light of the fact that most people have only played the more recent portable Harvest Moon games (pretty much excluding the GBC games from even getting voted for), I thought it would be good to make a console version too! ^_^
So then, let the voting begin!
As with the portable version of this thread, please post your reason for picking the game you did. 3nodding

Okay, here's Sakura's post. whee
Choice: Harvest Moon Another Wonderful Life
Reason: Because it's the Harvest Moon game I've played the longest. Also, I genuinely enjoyed the experience for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time. whee (Note that both my favorites for portables and consoles are the currently only girl-only titles in the series. xd ) I really loved ANWL, and I feel very attached to it. My VERY close second would be Back to Nature, my first console Harvest Moon. whee heart It lost out to ANWL because of its horrible loading times, though. >.<;

Graphics-wise: Save the Homeland. Your character actually looks like he should be on his own, and have his own farm.
Gameplay wise: Close contest between Back to Nature and 64. D:
Both of them had nice little stories and such, though I wish your wife did a little more in both of them.

Futanari Smiles Graphics-wise: Save the Homeland. Your character actually looks like he should be on his own, and have his own farm. Gameplay wise: Close contest between Back to Nature and 64. D: Both of them had nice little stories and such, though I wish your wife did a little more in both of them. I like that in 64, your wife actually did things. 3nodding I really wish they had kept that feature in some of the other games. Often times I'd wake up in the morning, and Karen would tell me that she'd packed my Eggs and shipped them for me. 4laugh Sometimes she'd say she broke some, though, LOL! xd

Save the Homeland. It was the first game I bought with my own money. And I kinda liked having not to worry about getting married. xd

Another Wonderful Life
I like that I get to be a girl, and it is the game that I have played the longest, as well. Although, I too wish they kept some of the features from Save the Homeland.

i like another wonderful life cuz it was fun to be agirl but magical melody is defantly secound for its eleven choices of spouses!mwahahaha...

Harvest Moon: SNES
It was the one that started it all. So nice an simple, yet so fun.
It has THE BEST music. Plus the graphics were just sooo cute. whee

Tough choice but I went Magical Melody. The option to have a boy or girl in one game was amazing.. plsu.. everything to do. All the notes to find, the land to buy, items to ship.. plus all those people to marry! :3
But I guess I also love AWL since it was my first Harvest Moon. But, once you figured out to sell seeds or trees it made it, uh.. too easy I guess.
StH bugged me. I didn't like not being able to get married or play past a year and I don't know.. it was just eh to me, I guess.

Why?:Cause it was the first harvet moon I got and it got me into the series.I also love the ending feature.I love to that it look so real in this game to me.

Ah, welcome to the guild! whee I liked StH, too, although it wasn't one of the best in the series. sweatdrop How many endings have you seen? I've only seen two so far; the Azure Swallowtail and the Bluebird.
