Can you be religious and still be a lesbian/bi/gay. I mean i have read in the bible that we are all going to hell, and i have read where it was accepted. I am confused, but what is your input? I dont want to go to hell cause i am in love with a girl. gonk

I am bisexual and a Christian.
I believe you can have a religion and be a different sexuality.
God hates the sin of homosexuality, not the person.
I do not believe I'll go to hell either, yes, it may anger God but I feel if I follow the set rules of the commandments as best I can and live my life as a Christian that I am not doomed to hell.
That is just me though...

My family is all Lutheran(form of CHristianity) and i dont kno had they'd take it if i told them i was bi so i keep it to myself. mrgreen

There are some denominations that do not consider homosexuality a sin at all (I'm not sure what they are...). I've known several bi girls who are very religious, it doesn't stop them.
I personally, am agnostic. I don't believe in God or Heaven - but I think it's perfectly lovely that you do. Just ignore ignorant people like Scipii. 3nodding

The main flaw with the bible, it is was written by male mortal humans. Even if someone says 'god' had written it, by writing through them, it is mortal human men who wrote it, possibly making 'god' as a man instead of woman, and making the thousands of years of male dominance by writing it their way.

I think God inspired them to write, cause their styles are different. (Styles of writting.) I mean yes there are some parts in the bible that seem a little odd... Especially Leviticus sweatdrop .... I believe in God, and follow his word, but alot of my friends and my gf even said we are going to hell. Its hard to feel comfort in this level when people are so trying to bring people down. -_____-' and scippi person is like... annoying. *smites*

Honestly...I dont beleave in heaven or hell.....Angnostic or athesist...Cant rember which.....But ya....The bible contra dicts its self in some places...Science proves some of ity wrong in others....I would rather live without a heaven or hell then be stuck between a holy war such as this....And this way Theirs no one telling me that homosexual relations is wrong

But what if you're wrong, i mean seriously, what if there is a heaven or hell... You wouldnt go to heaven. And also Science is sometimes wrong. The Bible is written by people. And God gives people faith you need to believe.

If God truly loved you he wouldn't send you to Hell for loving whom you choose. I don't understand why God would give you free will to do what you like, and then punish you if you don't do it his way. I have plenty of gay friends who are terrified of going to Hell. But really... God is supposed to be merciful right?
I don't believe in a lot of aspects of Christianity. I also don't believe in Hell. If there really is Hell? Well, like I said, I doubt God would punish you for all eternity just because you had a lover of the same sex.
The bible also says not to do a lot of other things that we still do anyway. I think one of them is wearing jewelery. Meh, in the end it's up to you. Do whatever makes YOU happy. Don't live in fear of something that may not actually happen.

It depends what you believe. If you read when Jesus comes, he never once condems homo-sexuality. Maybe God doesn't like it, but Jesus doesn't mind. I think of it like generations. Like how the older generations in our society aren't as accepting as the new generations are getting (they're still very homophobic though stare ).
Really the worst thing to do is worry. If God sent people to Hell for something as good as loving someone, Heaven must be pretty damn empty.
