Hi all... im taking a physics class.. and so far we have covered a lot about light, ray and wave optics, lenses and mirrors, and other fun stuff like double slit experiments and spherical abberations.
so, im wondering if im being mislead by the class... is the rest of physics as fun? or is it boring and difficult...
what does everyone here like about physics? what should i be looking forward to? any key points i should remember for the future?

I am not much of a physics guy, I am more into the arts and history, but I would think that physics only gets better as you move up- I mean, physics are pretty interesting and the further you go along the more intense your studies become and you also put them into action a lot more further on... but I am MOST definitely not an expert so, 'ding' second opinion required. mrgreen

You should just go through the year and figure it out, if its all good by the end of the year consider taking a more advanced class or if you like it a lot take some class's in college.. and if it ever gets really boring then drop out, or just go back and specialize in what you do like about it.

It really depends on the teacher and the method they use in presenting the subject.
I personally find the subject to be interesting and have read about the fundamentals of sciences at a young age. Having an early exposure does help in class and with it, grows a certain appreciation in learning.

My dad is a physicist, so I've grown up hearing about what he does. He works at a well funded lab and messes with nano-tubes, lasers, and hydrogen storage. I think it would be a nice field to go into, but that's just me.

Honestly, I have no idea. I don't even know what Physics is exactly about, just science. And I suck at science, I don't like science, so I suck and hate Physics, too.
But if I were good at science, I might enjoy Physics. Have fun with it, I guess, since science is fun, so that would make Physics kinda fun.

I was actually a Physics major for two years, then I realized that I hate math... So I changed to Spanish and Japanese.

Or how a car accelerates.

Well at the moment I'm learning about different types of energy. Very intresting I must say.... Though I do prefer Biology to Physics its still very intresting.
