The church doesnt acknowledge that my family exists.

My bro wasnt interviewed to be an elder, still hasnt been, even though he is 4 months away from being 19.

Today when they called out all the new elders in Stake Conference they said "Joseph Sean Gonzalez, blank ward. Joseph Allen Gonzalez, blank ward." My bro's middle name is Sean and there is only one Joseph Gonzalez in my ward and he is my bro's age. so yeah I dont much care for the church. this sparked my "period" that time of the month when i regret being gay and rebelling against the lord.

As hard as it is to believe, all leaders are human whether bishop, or sunday school teacher. I'd go up to them and inform them that they messed up. (kindly)

As for the other, good luck and as always, you'll be in my prayers. ((waiting for your pm...we can talk when you need it))

You know what happened to me?

I almost was completely rejected from being allowed to attend church before I was even born, because I'm a "love child" (I was born outside of wedlock). The Church leaders in our area wanted to excommunicate my mother for making a mistake.

The previous stake president wouldn't allow me to be sealed to my nana and papa, because even though they're my legal guardians, they're not my "parents," according to him. I still don't know what's going to happen, or if I'm ever going to be sealed to them.

I know what it's like to be completely ignored like that, darling, but remember this: "The worth of souls is great in the sight of God," even if it's not in the sight of other humans. All you can do is keep strong. I know it's hard. I know what it's like to just say "screw you!" and forget it all. However, it's MUCH easier to just give up, and follow the ways of the world, than it is to follow the Lord. So, I have to agree with Keltyr in a way. To err is human. We all make mistakes. Say something about it to your ward/stake leaders albeit kindly. Don't give up. It's too easy to do that.

Also, I'm getting a new phone and mobile-to-mobile, so whenever you need/want to talk, call me. Anytime. Anywhere (even at school, though you might not actually talk to me until between classes, or lunch, or what have you). I really do consider you my brother, even though we don't *always* talk to each other. I love you. Don't forget that.

Wow. That sounds tough. All I can say is to remember that it's the people, not the church, who are treating you this way. Even though they are members of the church and hold positions of authority, some can still be, ahem....asses. I honestly think that even bishops sometimes have to be knocked on their behinds at times. I know it would be hard, but I suggest you talk to the bishop/stake president before you lock this all inside and fall away from the truths of the church.
