 Jim made a point of being as annoying as possible during the entire 'release' period which involved paperwork, waiting, more paperwork, a few words from the doctor- no s**t he wasn't going to go skateboarding for a while -, then more waiting and paperwork. Eventually he had reverted to spitting up into the air and catching it in his mouth again, much to the horror of many of the elderly individuals in the waiting room followed by drumming on the top of the counter or humming "The Ultamate Showdown".
Finally, they were allowed out. Jim tucked his hands down into the raggy pockets of his jacket, glaring forward as always, jaw sqared off and ears pressed back. He was gonna spay Kama himself if he pulled another stunt like that... if being shot wasn't painful enough the wait was.

Axel looks up from where he was waiting outside for JImbo to re-emerge... His new boots make a confessedly satisfying tap tap tap on the pavement as he taps his foot in a subconsious expression of his irritation.

Tayn had joined Jim inside of the hospital for the check-up, mostly for the purpose of handling all the paperwork and whatnot. Kama couldn't be expected to show up himself, and the Olplyn wasn't about to trust Jim with the various financial information, and so Tayn had been sent in his stead. The Cortlin, Kama had decided, knew enough not to try anything.
And so here he was, tagging along behind Jim as they left the hospital and, anticipating the young Olplyn's mood, wisely avoiding conversation. It would probably end up as a one-sided conversation ranting about how Kama had caused all this trouble by shooting him in the first place, and ya dee ya and whine whine emo. As far as Tayn was concerned, Jim was incapable of being happy. The red-headed Jivvin waiting up ahead went unnoticed by the boy. Tayn didn't know him, so he wasn't important.

The jivvin grumbled as he came to the bottom of the stairs, sending a sharp glare back to the hospital. It wasn't that he was incapable of being happy... the things that made him happy were often illegal. Like, for instance, rolling nerds down the stairs in a garbage can or hitching a ride on a car's bumper on his skateboard. The cops were a bunch of stiffs anyway.
He turned back around, his expression brightening at the sight of the red spikes. "Axe-man." He straightened up, reaching a hand out to offer a high-five.

Axel returns the high five with a slightly 'tight' grin and a glance at the curious looking boy beside Jim
"Who's the munch?" he asks the corners of his eyes creasing... what he really meant was... 'how tight is this kid with the one who put that bracelet on you'

Jim chuckled, giving his friend a hearty thump on the back, "Kid's name is Tayn. He's not half bad." He shrugged, "Kinda in the same boat as me but he doesn't do much about it."
He nodded his head over towards Axel, "Kid, this is Axel. My bro."

Tayn quirked a brow at the display, pausing in step beside Jim and returning Axel's look. He brightened up slightly himself with Jim's words, only to frown at the conclusion of his introduction. Nonetheless, he forced a grin to nod a greeting up at Axel, folding his arms across his chest. "So you're the one. Nice to meet you." Glancing to Jim, he cocked his head to the side. "Did you ask Kama about him staying with us?"

He nodded, an ear flicking back slightly, "Yeah... Kama said he could stay if he wants. I'm gonna have to earn his keep though." He rolled his eyes, "'Course I'm pretty stuck on the fact that the old b*****d owes me big for this one." He glanced over to Axel, "It's up to you, man."

Jim smirked and pulled back the sleeve from his still healing arm. Much of the damage had scarred or scabbed over. The bracelet was gone. Tayn mused that it was so the doctors could tend to the wounds that the damn thing had caused as 'punishment' for the boy's defiance, Jim thought it was to save Kama's own a** from the doctor's suspicions as to the exact purpose of it. "Ain't colored no more."
