(( xd I'm still RPing Majinuni as an adol, even though he's grown... xp I never planned on this plot taking so long... heart )) It had been a couple of weeks since Majinuni had last seen Ausha. He had took to heart all that Ausha had said, and as a result, he had been making an effort to make himself well again. He still looked sickly thin, with almost every bone in his body visible underneath his thin layer of skin and fur, but he didn't look as though he was about to drop dead, as he had done weeks ago.
A small grin on his face, the strange spotless cheetah skulked slowly towards the Graveyard border. His diet of rats, birds and the occasional stray hare had never bothered him before, but just lately, he had found himself yearning for more. The Pride Lands were well-known for having a bountiful selection of large prey. His tongue breifly flicked out of his mouth and licked his maw, as he considered venturing outside of the Graveyard for the first time in his entire life.

(( No worries. Mchele would have just reached his adult stage then? I think... I'm not sure who's older. ))Similarly, Mchele was thinking about entering the graveyard. It wouldn't be his first time, nor in a search for food like the hungry cheetah, but it was a powerful urge that drew on him all the same. He was just making his way in the direction of the boarder now, his fine golden coat lapping up the sunshine and making him look all the more radient after his morning wash. So it was quite a contrast when he spotted the thin brown feline heading towards his pride's territory.
Mchele stopped and watched, not in an unfriendly way. He had seen cheetahs before and spoken to one when he had been young. And like the kindly king and queen of the Pridelands, he did not mind rouges travelling across their lands. It was curious though, to see the figure come from the graveyard area.... he didn't know of any cheetahs living there. Only hyenas and the few lions of Ausha's pride.

(( blaugh I'm guessing Mchele is older... ;o; heart he's so purdy! ))
When Majinuni spotted the golden lion, his eyes narrowed as if the colour of the lion was too much for him to handle. This lion was probably the brightest thing he had ever seen in his life, apart from the sun, and he wasn't too fond of it. Perhaps the sun-drenched Pride Lands were not a good idea, compared to the dark and dismal shades of the place he called home.
Another thought eventually came to mind though, which caused his ears to roll back on his head. This lion was clearly an outsider, and thus, he was a possible threat to Ausha. However, this didn't cause Majinuni's grin to fade. It had been a long while since he had "toyed" with another big cat. And this one was certainly much bigger than him. "Oh dear, you look as if you've lost your way..." He called out, a soft chuckle following his rather odd greeting.

(( and Majin is so amusingly insane. wink With very cool markings. A scary combo. ))
Mchele was in a good mood, heading off to see your dear 'more-than-a-friend' friend would make anyone happy right? And when the cheetah seemed to spot him he naturally gave him a friendly smile.
It wavered uncertainly though, as the cheetah responded with narrowed eyes and flattened ears... and it's own grin was rather disconcerning. Mchele decided to take a few steps onwards, crossing the boarder where the grass faded and dirt and dust took over. Probably best to leave the feline to it's own devices and go about with his own plans.
But when the other's voce called out to him he did pause and looked back over his shoulder. "Lost? Oh no, I know where I'm going thank you."

(( whee Thankies! ))
"Oh really?" A reletively suprised look graced the cheetah's face, but it was soon replaced by his previous grin, which had grown slightly wider. As the lion came closer, Majinuni moved forward to meet him, stopping directly in front of the golden male as he crossed the border into the Graveyard.
Smirking, he eyed the male up and down. He was pretty cute, but much too bold and bright for his liking. "You're just a big ray of sunshine aren't you?" He mused, his yellow-green eyes finally fixing on those of the lion. He had never been this close to a lion this big, as he usually "played" with others from a safe distance. He wasn't stupid though, so he turned quickly on his back legs and sprung to the left, almost smacking the lion across the head with his tail as he did so.
Snickering, he glanced over his shoulder, his eyes glinting with mischeif. He had almost completely forgotten how fun this sort of thing was!

"Yes, really. I mean... I have a rough idea. But I'm sure I'll be fine. Not going too far in anyway." The lion replied, moving to continue on his way until he had to stop to avoid bumping into the lithe cat.
"Sunshine? Oh yeah, some have called me that." He replied with a wistful look on his face - because it had been Ausha who'd refered to him as a sun in the dark graveyard once. But the look passed with a start as a tail barely missed his face and made him jump back.
"Hey, careful with that." He replied with a slight frown. This guy was pretty cheaky, especially since he was smaller (but quicker). It briefly crossed Mchele's mind to take a swipe just to put the other one off, but Mchele would need more provoking than that to resort to fighting. He could hardly be considered violent or fierce.

Majinuni continued to chuckle as he slowly started circling the golden lion, all the time keeping a few feet between himself and the heavy-looking paws that belonged to the lion. Clearly, he was feeling much better already, than he had been in the last few weeks. Of course, the lion was completely unaware of all that the deathly-thin cheetah had been through.
Grinning, he breifly glanced back towards his tail, which was whipping violently from side to side. When he looked back, he caught the gentle frown of the lion. "You're obviously not from around here..." He mused. "So tell me...why should I even allow you take another step?" His tone of voice wasn't exactly threatening, but it didn't sound as if he was joking either. He wanted to prove to Ausha that he was much better now, and that he was capable of defending Ausha and all that he had worked to build up.

The hairs along Mchele's spine were starting to stand up, this guy was beginning to creep him out. Was it simply because he persisted in following him? His continuous circling? If Mchele knew what a shark was he would haven described the feeling something like that. True, a scrawny, not-quite-all-there shark.
"Well obviously." He replied with a flick of his own tail. "I'm from the Pridelands. And what do you mean allow? I'm doing nothing to you... you're the one following me." He hadn't any clue that the cheetah was part of Ausha's pride. He didn't even think cheetahs formed or joined prides, let alone one made of lions. All the members of that species he had seen were alone or in pairs, and always rogues.
"Not that it's any of your business, but I'm going to see a friend. That satisfy you?" It occured to Mchele that it might not be wise to tell this stranger the whole truth about him and his friend. Only two or three others knew of the relationship and not even his father. His mother's words came back to him... other might hurt him, hurt him because of his difference... Well he certainly didn't want to give this cheetah any more cause to hassle him.

Majinuni shook his head vehemently. "No, I'm afraid that just won't do..." He sneered, curling back his maw to reveal a set of yellowing, blood-stained fangs. "You see, this land doesn't belong to you, and it's my job to make sure intruders aren't allowed any further across the border..." He chuckled. "We can't have sunshine blinding everyone that lives here, can we?"
His eyes flashed darkly. In his previous encounters, he had found that most lions were reletively quick to lose their temper. Of course, there were exceptions, like Ausha and this one. Grinning, the cheetah stopped circling, and tilted his head at a rather abnormal angle. "What's your name?" Despite his unpredictable state of mind, Majinuni was never without his curiousity.

"What? Protect the Graveyard from intruders?" Mchele frowned further and looked somewhat confused. "You were heading right towards my own homelands and I wouldn't have stopped you. I guess not everyone is as kind as my king and queen, or me." He shook his head.
"And I'm not an intruder, I would say I was a guest!" He stood up taller now, growing more upset that this stupid feline was causing him this much trouble. All this just to visit his loved one? One who had invited him right into his protected lair and would be more than happy to have some visiting 'sunshine' to brighten up his day?
If this cheetah knew who he meant to see, perhaps it would be easier? After all, he said it was his job to protect against intruders and somehow Mchele couldn't see him siding with the hyena pack. Unless there was another group living in those dark lands he had to be part of Ausha's pride... as absurd as it sounded.
"If you must know, my name is Mchele and I have been invited into your lands before. A couple of times even! How about you? What's your name and why exactly are you being so difficult? I haven't come to cause harm, quite the opposite."

The lithe cheetah started circling again, his eyes never leaving the golden male. They watched for any sudden movement, any evidence that he was going to attack. Strangely, Majinuni was thrilled at the possibility of running this lion ragged. "I was only looking..." He replied, still grinning. "I have all I need right here..." His grin became less sinister as he said that, and was replaced by a very fond expression, as he thought about Ausha.
"A guest? I sincerly doubt that..." Majinuni rarely mingled with any other members of Ausha's pride. In fact, most of them probably didn't even know he was there, despite his high rank. Despite this though, he couldn't imagine any Graveyard dweller inviting such a bright distraction into their midst.
"Well, Mchele..." A hint of sarcasm touched his voice. "My name is Majinuni, and the only reason I'm making your life difficult is because it's my job..." He laughed, as a sudden wave of supressed insanity hit. "Please don't take it personally..."

"Well I'm pleased for you, not many find everything they want in the one place." The lion said, not mockingly but neither with much kindness towards to fustrating cat. "And warding off close friends is your job is it?" He pondered his previous thought about which pride or pack this feline might be living with.
"You don't smell like a hyena... I guess you're with the lion pride here then? The one Ausha initiated?" He let the name drop purposely. "If that's the case, then I don't think he'll be impressed with you keeping out his friends. Especially after I came all this way to go see him."
Fed up with the interigation, Mchele simply pushed past the cheetah. Taking long sturdy strides, he wasn't going to let some skinny 'guard' push him around. He had it all wrong anyway. Mchele was welcome here.... by Ausha at least.

Majinuni had never thought of himself as being lucky. It was quite the opposite actually, considering all he had been through. His smile faltered a little as he thought about recent events. It soon returned though when he thought about Ausha. He was always thankful that he had Ausha. Ausha was really the one and only thing he needed.
Scoffing, the cheetah changed direction, again taking in the physical appearence of Mchele. "You don't look like the kind of friend anyone in this dismal place would have..." At the mention of Ausha that followed, Majinuni's face dropped completely, the markings on his face wrinkling up as he frowned deeply. "How do you know Ausha?"
As the lion shoved passed, Majinuni hissed and sprang forward, again blocking Mchele's path. His boney frame looked as if it could be snapped in two with ease, but that didn't stop him from getting right up in the much larger cat's face. When he was younger, and his love for Ausha was merely a crush, he often got jealous of Ausha's female friends. Now, with Majinuni's feelings for Ausha as strong as they were, he found himself disturbed and confused by the bright male that stood before him. "Ausha has many enemies...how do I know that you're not just out to infiltrate his Pride and destroy him?" Even saying those words caused him pain, as the very thought of such a thing sickened him. As long as he lived, he would not allow anyone to take Ausha away from him.

Mchele stopped abruptly as his vision was filled with the face of the hissing cheetah. He couldn't have taken another step anyway, unless he wanted to knock heads with him - literally. Stepping sideway to have at least some personal space to himself, he sat. Walking around this guard was going to take forever if he had to keep going sideways and stopping every five minutes. Maybe it was best to give some sort of explaination now and then be free to continue on his own?
"Perhaps I'm the sort of friend they need then. As you said before, a ray of sunshine?" He tilted his head, not in confusion but because he'd noticed the quick change in the other feline that the mention of Ausha caused. Must have hit on the right ground there.
"I met him when I was younger, not much older than a cub. And then a few times after that. I taught him to hunt, to be able to catch food once Chomo left. He was very grateful for that. So I am certainly no enemy to him."
The look on Mchele own face was one of honest shock. "Destroy him and his pride? After all his dreams of building it here in these bones that he loves so much? You must be kidding! I could never do that!"

The cheetah found himself hanging on Mchele's every word, whilst his eyes continued to watch his every move. Ausha had never mentioned him before, so they couldn't be all that close. Could they? "I am Ausha's Mshauri...I'm his confidant, his advisor...his protector..." Majinuni was trying to reassure himself, more than he was trying to inform this so-called friend of Ausha's.
He managed a rather shaky grin, although it was all but drained of his previous confidence. "Too much sunshine can be bad for you..." It was obvious that Mchele wasn't an enemy of Ausha's, but in a way, that was more worrying. "He's never mentioned you...not once..." Again, he was trying to reassure himself more than he was trying to inform the golden lion. Just what was he getting at?
