Who: Rikku & Naruto
What: A real date: dinner at a fancy restaurant & possibly a movie
When: 3 days after the revelation
Where: Starting at the House in Bass'ken woods, traveling to the restaurant Beni Hana's in the city, & then most likely a movie theater.Others may be places the once oblivious blondes go. If you think someone may bump into them while they're out & about, give Moochi or I a PM & we'll see if it'll work in okay. Otherwise no posties!  She had been eagerly fretting about this moment for days. Now the time was finally here & Rikku wanted to pace by the door as she waited for Naruto to come for her. Trelweny played on the floor with Theron, Ambar, & some of the more playful members of the family who did not fear the toddler. The young widow smiled reasuringly at Rikku. Green eyes met, with the human's seeming to say not to worry... and not to ruin her outfit.
They had agreed on a kimono after some long thought on the matter. "I know this particular restaurant is Chinese, but your young man is Japanese isn't he? I bet he'd be surprised & maybe even thrilled to see you in a kimono, Rikku." Trelweny had said. That had been enough for the Al Bhed, who although knew little about dressing up knew for certain that she both wanted to impress Naruto & make him happy.
Trelweny had spent a good part of the afternoon working on the audio's blonde hair, keeping it enough 'Rikku' but changing it into a more elegnt hairstyle at the same time. The wide bandana was exchanged for a smaller circlet of a sunset-pink gold with opals placed on it in such a design that they looked like pyreflys with the engravings trailing behind them. Her small braids had been kept but Rikku's high ponytail had been taken down & combed until it was smooth. The human woman had left half to trail down Rikku's back; the rest she styled gently in a way that was reminiscent of ancient asian styles with their looping buns. A thinner circlet of gold -also of that almost pink or sunset hue- circled the 'bun'. Thin ribbons of blue, yellow, orange, & red dangled from the back of the circlet just short of the length of Rikku's blonde hair.
The kimono itself looked like someone had taken Rikku's scarf & made it into a silken garment. Shiny thread in the colors of the beads in her hair were embroidered on the edges of the volumous sleeves an in a rising wave formation from above her feet just past her knee on the right side. Like the wide circlet, these had the appearance of pyreflys darting through the sunset. In contrast to the kimono, her obi was a fairly solid blue only slightly shifting to lighter shades.
Of course she wore white socks with the appropriate footwear. Rikku was glad then that she was accustomed to the same sandals in her Festival DressSphere -she would not humiliate herself by falling down.
She glanced with anxious green eyes at the clock across the room. 4:25. Naruto would be there soon. What would he think of her, like this?

Coming down the path to Trel's home was Naruto, sitting on the back of one of Moochi's winged horses, Dimitrus. But despite having demonic like wings and sharp fangs like Guerra, this one was basically the opposite. His fur was a soft, green color with a sky blue on his front, belly and muzzle as well. The inside of his wings are a soft yellowish color and his hair is a mixture of dark greens and browns. And he is actually wearing a saddle and reigns, which are nervously clutched in Naruto's sweaty palms.
The last two days were torture for him. After he had sent the note off, he was dragged straight into the city by his human and sister, Morgana, where they spent hours going from shop to shop, looking for the perfect outfit for him. He nearly got his head chopped off when he asked why couldn't he wear what he normally wore, and wisely kept his mouth shut the rest of the shopping trip. They finally found a nice mens boutique and were able to get a suit and tie for Naruto, thankfully, in his size. It consisted of a dark blue dress pants and jacket, the silk shirt a deep orange color and tie sporting a nifty blue and orange design. He also had on black, shiny dress shoes, and his usually spiky blond hair had been washed, brushed and combed until it looked presentable to the two females, but he did run his fingers through it once when he set off.
Naruto snaps out of his thoughts as Dimitrus comes to a stop and kneels his large body down to set Naruto on the ground. Hopping off, the shinobi gulps as he looks at the large structure, clutching the bouquet of yellow roses in his hands tightly. He hoped Rikku liked the flowers, they reminded him of her when he saw them yesterday. He jumps when Dimitrus nudges his back with his snout, giving him a reassuring look. Patting the horse in thanks, he makes his way to the door, getting more and more nervous. He gulps and then finally rings the doorbell.

At the sound of the doorbell Rikku jumps. Her dash for the door is cut short as Aiden -whom she had not realized was home- flies down from his hammock to open the door. Yellow eyes sparkle against his blue fur; there's little doubt he is there in big brother mode. "Good day te ye, Naruto lad. Come on in... yer expected."
Rikku shyly peeked around her brother from where she stood, her swirling green eyes a mixture of emotions. Her breath caught in her throat. She wanted to run to him but Trelweny was giving her a look that held her back, slowed her down. Of course since the young mother's gaze was on the Audio, her son was momentarily unguarded.
Theron ran with quiet determination to the open door, pausing before the shinobi with an infectious, crooked, mischivous smile. "Pay?" He asked with a tone that was more command than question. The cream & sienna jivvin ust that followed him up yipped her support of his querry. [Play! Play!]
Like a flash Trelweny was there, lifting the bonded young ones & pulling them away from the door as Rikku slowly made her way before Naruto.
"Not today, my little man. He's here for Rikku." Trelweny gave the ninja an apologetic smile. "Do come in a moment, Naruto. I promise we won't keep you."
As the human woman stepped aside, Rikku finally saw the flowers. Her whole face lit up. "oh!"
The Al Bhed blushed, completely at a loss for what to say & clasped her hands nervously behind her back.

Naruto gulps nervously as he stands there and waits for the door to open. He gets ready to run his hands through his hair, but stops himself, not wanting his hair to spike up and look messy, not today! Naruto freezes as the door starts to open up and he half expects Rikku to be standing there, but he lets out a soft breath when he sees it is Aiden. But he feels himself become tense and nervous when he sees the look in the males eyes and he almost feels like running away, screaming.
But he feels himself start to relax immensely at the sudden appearance of the young human and his companion, and he smiles playfully, "Maybe another time!" he says, giving a playful wink. He nervously steps inside when he is invited a second time, but he feels himself freeze when he finally gets a good look at Rikku.
He didn't think he would ever find the right words to describe just how she looked to him, because beautiful just didn't do her justice. "H-h-h-h-hi! I g-g-g-got you flowers!" he stutters out nervously, holding the bouquet out to her as his faces lights up red.

Chuckling to himself Aiden leaves the door open with a nod to the equine outside. Rikku is positively beaming as she takes the bouquet of yellow roses, touching Naruto's hand as she does so. Her blush creeps further up her cheeks. "I've never gotten flowers before..." Green eyes sparkle. "Oh, Ruto! They're lovely!"
She leaned her face into the flowers smelling deeply of their scent & sighed. "They smell good too!" Rikku beamed again. "Thank you, Ruto!"
Of course, Rikku did not know what to do with a bouquet of flowers. Thankfully, Trelweny did. Passing the toddler off to Aiden, the human took the flowers from Rikku & gently pushed the two together -setting Rikku's hand in Naruto's with a gentle & accepting smile. There was no need to question the youth... Her empathy was enough to read him & trust him. "I'll take care of these for you, Rikku. They'll be by your bed when you get back."
"Take care o' her, Laddie." It was more of a reminder than an order, as Aiden's yellow eyes sparkled remembering a certain orangeclad ninja hiding in the shop's bathroom.

Naruto blushes even more brighter then before, rubbing the back of his head, "Y-y-your welcome..." he stutters out. He mentally kicked himself, now was not the time to act like some scared little kid! He smiled as Trel took the flowers and promised to leave them by Rikku's bedside, and he hoped she wouldn't ask him again to sleep with her, cause even though he did want too, he still didn't feel ready and he refused to put Rikku in that position. Plus he had a feeling Aiden would find a way to kill him.
He nods at the plaid colored male and smiles, "Don't worry, I'll make sure nothing happens to her!" he says smiling. He looks behind him as he hears Dimitrus snort a little and stomp his large hoof down, looking expectedly at the shinobi, "Oh, we better get going, don't want to be late!" he says.

Trelweny giggled. "Then be off with you! The both of you!" Aiden too was laughing, & added almost teasingly: "Ye've her hand, laddie... yer te be leading her out yerself now, dinnae ye ken?"
Gripping lightly to Naruto's hand her hold tightened in an almost protective way. "By the Fayths! We've never done this before! Take it easy on him!"
This only caused them to laugh more. "Aye, Rikku-lass. T'is why we're given 'im th' pointers." Winking he nudged the pair towards the door, ignoring Theron's clamboring for the "osie" outside. "An' thank'ye... I'd nae thought te take my bonny lass on a proper date myself. I should be seeing if t'is something Lainey would like."
Getting them out the door, the highlander shut it behind them to a myriad sound of wellwishes, have funs, & be carefulls. Obviously others in the family had popped into the room from where ever they had been to catch glimpse of the momentous occation.
Outside, Rikku turned to Naruto in surprize. "Ruto... how do I ride a horse in this?

Naruto squeezed Rikku's hand lightly as they go outside and he breaths a bit when the door closes behind them. He smiles and leads her over to Dimitrus, smiling as the horse leans his large neck down to get a good sniff at Rikku and then try to nuzzle her. "Oh yea, this is Dimitrus!! He'll get us to the city! And Morgana says if you were wearing something like a dress you would have to ride sidesaddle, meaning you can't ride on him like you would your hover cycle!" he explains, stepping back as Dimitrus moves himself about to kneel in front of the two to get onto the saddle.

"Or a chocobo." Rikku giggled, feeling quite nervous. "I kinda figured I couldn't ride the usual way... It's ruin my kimono." Rikku fingered the silk gently walking towards the winged equu fearlessly, even as she wondered if her outfit pleased Naruto. She held out her hand for Dimitrus to smell -just in case- on her way to get on the saddle. Even with the equu kneeling, Rikku was not sure how to proceed. NOrmally she would climb or jump but in this...
"Ruto, How do I get up? And once up there, how do I not fall off?"

Naruto chuckles as Dimitrus snuffles at her hand, but to answer her question as to how she is going to get on, he grabs her by her waist gently and hoists her up onto the saddle, facing him. And then in a flash, he is on the saddle behind her, arms around her securely as he grabs the reigns in his hands, "Don't worry, I'll make sure you don't fall!" he says, feeling Dimitrus stand up to his full height and fold his wings over their legs to make them feel more secure. "Alright Dimitrus, lets get to the restaurant, don't want to lose those reservations!" he calls to the equine. He smiles as the horse nods and turns his large body to start trotting down the path at a pace that won't jar them, but they would make good time on.

"Oh!" Rikku made a pleased gasp of surprise as she was lifted onto the the Equu's back. She flushed a bit, unaccustomed to not being able in any way to do things for herself. Trelweny had spoken to her about how it might be necessary & Rikku found she looked forward to more times of relying on Naruto's strength & abilities rather than her own. Hence the blush.
She leaned into Naruto as his arms held her close. "I know, Naruto. I love you, & I trust you."
Ever so lightly she kissed the ninja's chin before reaching out a hand & patting the mane in front of her gratefully. "Thanks for the ride, Dimitrus."

Naruto blushs lightly when she kissed him and he nuzzled the top of her head, "I love you too Rikku..." he whispers. He chuckles as Dimitrus bobs his head up and down at Rikku's words of thanks. He almost wished the horse could take, but he could only do that with Moochi since he was a part of her soul. The shinobi feels himself start to relax, even when the city starts coming into view, but he wouldn't let his nervousness ruin this date!

She knew the city was nearing from watching the surrounding landscape change. They'd been to town enough the way was familiar, even at this angle. It was odd seeing it move sideways by her. Almost as odd as not being in control of getting there on her own.
"So how far into the city is this place?" Then she giggled softly, she had to say something about how Naruto looked. Especially with the way it made her feel all tingly inside. "And... you look really nice, Ruto; all cleaned up."

"Not that far actually, but its sort of in the ritzy part of town." he explains, watching some cars pass by, but glad Dimitrus was ignoring them, Guerrra would have tried to stomp a few of them flat by now. He blushes hotly when she compliments his attire, "Thanks...y-y-you look really...beautiful, Rikku..." he stutters softly.

Now it was her turn to blush again, but at the same time her swirling green eyes sparkled happily. "You think so? I've never worn anything like this before..." Wanting to spin around for Naruto to see everything better & finding she could not while sitting up on the equu Rikku giggled with some embarrassment. "and I can't remember the last time I went out with my hair down. I always've pulled it up."
Then she smiles tenderly, tilting her head to kiss the shinobi's hot cheek. "Thank you. I... I'd been worrying over whether you'd like it..."
