Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you all know I am recruiting moderators for the guild. I do have requirements that I do expect to be met and fulfilled on a regular basis.
Okay, since every single member of this guild decided to b***h and moan about the standards being to high [even though Ive had hundreds of moderators who managed to pull it off with ease, and MUCH MUCH more.. for instance my friend the new leader of the guild has put together 1000 invites daily for the last 4 days straight, that is 40 weeks worth of what I am asking of my moderators, but whatever. -------- 1. All guild moderators must be on atleast 5 days a week and posting atleast 5 times in each of those days, they must watch out for people breaking rules and answer any question the members have.
2. All guild moderators must find three new people who have been thoroughly checked out and then invited into the guild; this must be confirmed by them, consider it payment for being able to boss people around in the guild and for having power.
3. All guild moderators must have atleast 30 posts before being accepted as a moderator, this is to prove that you plan to stick around the guild and didnt just get in and only post once and become a moderator.
4. All guild moderators must find and recruit three people into this guild in order to become a moderator, these people must send a private message to me and tell me who has recruited them, and then I will check out there background to see if they are any good and then I will either decline them or accept them, upon finding three people who have been accepted you may be tested on your knowledge on how to handle situations, should you fail to pass these tests you may not be accepted, this is to be sure you can handle being a moderator of the guild.
5. Be kind and curtious to everyone you speak to, when your a moderator you are the image of this guild, blowing up on someone is not how we want this guild to be viewed, its also important that you are helpful to the members because thats the reason you are a moderator.
Application Form Post count in guild: Total post count: Skills you have that would be helpful: General things you want to say: (send the list of 350-500 names to me Blood`Eternity so I can invite them, note the more you invite the more inclined I will be to accepting you --you can do more than 500). ------
So if you want to be a moderator please fill out the form, I like to see people who are in touch with the members of the guild and also I do a background check [look through old posts, talk to your friends, etc]. I want to make sure you are able to do the job, if you think your up to it, apply [but after you make the list so you dont waste my time].

Not interested anyways, but I think your requirements are unrealistic, and also a little....i dont know how to word it. But quality over quantity when it comes to members. Quotas are a quick way to lower quality.

well, I know I couldn't live up to those expectations, I'm only on on weekends most of the time. so i cant be a mod. but i'll still try to help out , ill post often, invite people, etc.
I'd like to become a mod, because then you become like the face of the guild, and would stand out from the other members. ah well, guess in the end i just want to be "power happy."
maybe power happy is the wrong word, i'd help out, but you ask a lot and i dont have time.

I would apply to be a mod, but unfortunately I don't have 50 posts yet. And... I don't think I'd be able to invite 200 members a week. That seems a little much.

PsychoDagger I would apply to be a mod, but unfortunately I don't have 50 posts yet. And... I don't think I'd be able to invite 200 members a week. That seems a little much. Ick I clicked submit before posting anything.
Well, I just want to say to everyone that 200 isnt very much, believe me.. it takes no time at all once you get the hang out if, you simply get a notepad and you double click on a name [it highlights it], then right click copy and go to notepad, then paste it, then you put in a comma and do the next one, every 10 you get double click enter and start a new set of 10, when you get desired amount, enter them into the form and put in the message [if you do the same message for everyone have it in notepad to copy/paste. then walla, 200 names takes 40 minutes tops :^.^: I do it in 30...
But, not everyone can do it, I know from my last guild that there are few people who actually work to accomplish it or have the time to do it.

I'll try to get enough names and 50 posts here. So where would we harvest the Gaians from? Because when I get enough posts I'll give you the list of names from where ever. 3nodding Also because I'm on for hours everyday, so if it takes 40 minutes for 200 and only 200 a week, it shouldn't be too hard.

Note: I decided to lower the member invite per week to 100 people... when it comes down to it not 200x6 or so, so 1200 people invited a week at a 1/3 success of join rate would give us 400 members a week and pretty quick we would run out of members who are interested in actually learning.
So I admit, you guys are right, 200 is to much. I am thinking about this as if it were still my old poll guild, which was basically just bump and be random, nothing like this guild. So the new quota is 100 a week, I think that is small enough for most people to accomplish.
The requirement to get in is still 300-500, because its supposed to be difficult, and you have as much time as you need to get it done.

I dont think Chatterbox is a good place to find people, unless you find a more talkative thread were people actual talk about things in the world or atleast talk in full sentences, also if you run into someone being a total trainwreck aka "blibtlbitlah I am a who biggrin " then just ignore that name.

Well, I for one would love to be considered a mod. However, I am unsure of how I would be able to invite even 100 a week. Unless you split it into 4 days and 25 per day quota or something.
I'm on almost all the time, love learning, and love making things such as banners *not the moveable type, mind you*. But, because of time of day, I only get 2-3 hours a day every day besides weekends due to extra curricular activities.
I would also like to believe my post count is at 50, but lemme do a little more posting today and I think I can ensure that will happen. whee

I am the same, I work through the mornings and go to school until 4 and sometimes until 7 at night [on wednesdays], so I only get an hour or two before I have to go to bed, which is kind of lame but I plan to spend a lot of my weekend time to make up for what I miss on the week days, more invites and talking on the weekends.

And yeah, I understand. Most of the posting takes place on weekends but who can help it? People have lives and that should surely be understandable. =3

Quotas are a quick way to lower quality. Exactly my thoughts, there's no way that I could get 100 people to join every week and I rarely find anyone who is qualified for a guild like this. By qualified I mean someone who is actually willing to talk or discuss things rather than then begging or talking about anime. stare
