Current Roster:
#17 Brent Barry He can shoot the three well, and can be back-up PG too. Plus he's one time slam dunk champion
#15 Matt Bonner I like this guy. Hustle is what makes him a good player. Offensive rebounding is his specialty. I just hope he'd have more time on the court though, and not just garbage minutes.
#12 Bruce Bowen(6'7) 5-time Defensive Team. He locks the best backcourt players of the other team and is very defensive-minded and can shoot the three well too
#5 Ime Udoka(6'10) The Spurs' best offseason acquisition. This guy might be Bowen #2, with his specialist three point shooting and perimeter defense. Look for the Spurs to play better when it comes to not having the ball.
#16 Francisco Elson(7'0) He was not great in the first season with the Spurs. Too low b-ball IQ, but playing alongside Duncan, he might learn a few things. Him and Parker go well in terms of running the court during fastbreaks.
#4 Michael Finley(6'7) Shoots the three and can take it the hoop. Perfect Sixth Man material, averages 9 points per game.
#25 Robert Horry(6'10) Hits game-winning shots, plays D, and has 7 championships. Nuff said.
#7 Fabricio Oberto(6'10) So far the Spurs' best center. He moves without the ball pretty well, takes good shots, and plays good D. His intelligence lacks up for his athleticism, which is what the Spurs need.
#14 Beno Udrih(6'3) He has shooting, but Pop wants to see more if he wants to be the back-up PG. He has struggled with back problems lately and Pop's getting impatient.
#11 Jacque Vaughn(6'1) Last year he developed a jumpshot from 16-18 feet. He's the Spurs best back up point. He can guard good.
#21 Tim Duncan(6'11) 3-time Finals MVP. 2 times Season MVP. Greatest PF to play the game. He did have plantar fasciitis, which slowed his game, but that didnt stop him from destroying the opponent night in and night out in 2007.
#20 Manu Ginobili(6'6) Famous for his uncontrolled style when playing, but struggled with injury problems. Very good clutch player.
#9 Tony Parker(6'2) For one time led the league in POINTS IN THE PAINT. Not bad for a 6'2 guy. Not bad for a guy who has 3 championships and 1 Finals-MVP on his resume, and he's still not on his peak yet.
COACH: Gregg Popovich Former coach of the year, very famous for defense and discipline.
NEW ADDITIONS: Marcus Williams, Tiago Splitter (from the draft)
Welcome to the team.

First game of the Season:
Spurs beat the Mavs, 97 - 91
Parker had 19 points and Ginobili added 16 to help the Spurs past their instate rivals, the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavs were leading for most of the game but struggled in the fourth quarter by incredible Spurs D, shooting only 28 percent. Duncan had a modest night, scoring 13 points, grabbing 10 boards and dishing 4 assists.

Second game:
We got beat by the Cavs and Lebron James, who scored 35 points and threw two huge plays at Tim Duncan. Our home opener was a bust but Duncan did shine with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Parker also got 21, but the Spurs shot horrible from both the three-point line and the charity stripe

Seventh game:
Another win!!! Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili had normal games, but the bench really took it off! We overcame a 19 point deficit in the third quarter to have a 92-84 victory over the Rockets
