I'll start:

Gah! What is it with the tweenies in the ED? I wouldn't mind them so much if they were just willing to learn something. Especially in the ADT. It's one thing to say that you despise abortion because of the death involved, quite another to start screaming "ITS JUST RONG! LALA YOU CANT CHANGE MY OPINION!" Worst kind of ignorance ever. And of course, in that topic they simply can't spell the word pregnant while they're telling others to stay "pregnate."

The ignorance that overflows the ED is phenomenal....I can't even stay there for more than a couple of minutes without getting pissed off and leaving before I decide to be "not nice" to a n00b or troll. I f'ing hate the idiots that swarm the ED!!!

Today’s written annoyances.

I hate it when people talk passive, subjective, and ambiguous to get people on their side gonk They blatantly talk in a way that anyone can fill in what they mean with their own meanings. Kind of a like a mad lib. Politicians do this ALL THE TIME. It really pissed me off. i.e. I am for family values.

I hate it when people enact double standards. For example; my sister works in a school ran program at my old high school that sells food, drinks, school supplies, etc. The other adolescents that work there give free food to their friends, they loot the cash register, etc. My sister doesn’t like seeing them do that. They don’t care that they are steeling. The minute I take something from them; i.e. maybe a $80 school book, they would be mad. What gives them the right to take things and not have any remorse and get mad when others do it to them?

I was watching Real Time with Bill Maher last night. One of the guys on the show was making such accusations that were idiotic and one sided that could be torn down with one shot. The fact that a great majority of Americans believe that crap is ridicules. For example; they were talking about the new law that Bush just passed saying he could hold someone indefinitely for alleged connections to terrorism if he wanted to, without any trial, without any way of proving he is innocent, and they could use any torture he wanted. The blatantly stupidity was overwhelming. He said it is okay to torture terrorists to save our society. He refused to admit that innocent people COULD be locked up indefinitely, without a trial, without anyway of proving they are innocent, and they really are innocent!

You know, I can deal with "get back in the kitchen" pictures. I don't agree with it (and frankly think it's stupid), but whatever.

On the other hand, making jokes about domestic violence is toeing the line/going over it.


As for my rants, nothing big except WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU, INTERNET? Seriously, my internet has always been so wonderful and fast. Lately it's been going slower and now I can't stay connected for more than 5 minutes at a time. ARGH.

I have protection software and run regular checks, so I'm pretty positive that's not it. We had a problem with SBC just a few days ago, and I don't know all the details, but I know my parents had to pay quite a bit to get the internet running again. So I'm guessing it has something to do with that.

That reminds me.

I hate the education system. IT SUCKS! It badly needs reform. Take a look at the way tests are taken. We go to school to learn generalized skills and to be able to apply them in a real world setting. In my math class my teacher doesn't allow us to use calculators on tests. It is ridiculous. He thinks by using the calculator we are cheating. In a real world setting, we would be able to use calculators, formulas, etc. Tests are supposed to analyze whether we understand the material and how to apply it. Why should we have to memorize formulas and have to not use a calculator. We should be allowed to use any resources at our disposal. As long as you are able to answer the question within the allotted time, time constraints are teaching real world ideas, you should be able to notes, written formulas, and a calculator.

Also, how do calculators (I wouldn't mind even using a scientific calculator over my graphing one) make you a cheater?
