~Erik 100%~
Erik was effectively trapped in the Entertainment Room by the thunderstorm outside. He knew from past experience that if he went outside and got his thick fur wet, it would hours to get it dry, even with a blow dryier.
And so, deciding to kill some time until the weather cleared up, he popped in a movie and curled up on the couch, hoping the rain would stop before he went stir crazy.

[Eri 25%]
It was raining. Eri had seen the signs but ventured out anyways. Now she was soaked and freezing. Her eyes scanned the area for refuge. A building, far larger than the duplex that she was forced to inhabit appeared infront of her. Without a second thought, Eri rushed towards it and opened the door. It slammed shut behind her causing an echo throughout the building. She shook her head and looked around.
"I hate this place...."she muttered to herself.

Even though he was almost asleep, Erik easily heared Eri and he sat up, letting out a slight yawn. Taking a good look at her, she didn't look much older than him. Thankfully, she looked like she had changed once, so he didn't have to worry about breaking the news to her, he was bad at doing that. Running a hand through his hair, he said "Hi there."

Eri's ears twitched and she turned towards the direction of the voice. Her eyes caught the site of something she had seen before, but always tried to avoid: another victim of the doctors. She stared at him for a moment, not sure what to say or do.
"Hi..." she mumbled before turning away from him to check out the room.
There were massive amounts of technology. She smiled as she remembered when television showed cartoons in the morning and her mum would sit beside her while they watched it.

Erik felt the same awkwardness as Eri did, unable to think something to say. His ears twitched a little and he cocked his head, trying to see if something was wrong with her. "Are you okay?" he asked.

She glanced back at him and gave a small smile.
"I'm just peachy for someone mutating into an animal."she said.
Eri brushed her wet brownish-black hair with purple ends behind her pointed ears. That was one of the changes. pointed ears, sharpened teeth, claws and even her hair color had changed. She thought about what she said and frowned. He knew what she was going through, he had suffered much more than what she was going through. This was only a taste of what was to come.
"Sorry for sounding snappy. I'm just really stressed right now. This whole ordeal is freaking me out."

At Eri's comment, Erik gave as best a smile he could with his fully developed muzzle before saying "It's alright, everyone feels like that at first, but then you get used to it. You just need to relax, just sit down and take a load off." He then made room for her to sit down next to him on the couch. Erik then introduced himself, a smile still on his face. "I'm Erik."

She smiled more now and took a seat next to him. Her clothes were still wet but its not like she could change into something else.
"I'm Eri. It's very nice to meet you."she said.

Happy that she was warming up to him, Erik quickly moved his tail out of the way before Eri sat down, giving her a little more room to sit. As she sat next to him, he noticed that her eyes were different colors, and said "You got pretty eyes.". Realizing what he just said, he tried to change the subject and asked "So Eri, how did those nutjobs get you here?"

Eri blushed a little and looked away. She quickly regained her composure and answered his question.
" It was all an accident really. I ran away and hid on some boat. I was so tired that I drifted off to sleep. When I woke up I was in this place and some doctor woman was staring at me. I panicked and ran. I tried hiding but these creatures found me and brought me back to the doctors. I guess they had no choice but to keep me here since I had seen too much and I was a run away anyways...."
She paused and stared at the ground.
"Maybe I should have stayed home."she mumbled to herself.

Seeing her blush, Erik felt a little ashamed of himself. He rubbed a paw against the back of his head, saying "Sorry about that..."
After Eri finished, Erik cocked his head and asked "Why did you run away, it couldn't have been that bad." In his mind, he tried to think of why Eri would've run away from home.

She smiled sweetly and shook her head.
"No need to be sorry. You did nothing wrong."she said.
Her ears twitched. She could still hear the rain falling outside. Accute hearing was something she had to get use to when the changes came.
" I ran away from home because it wasn't my home. My home was a beautiful house that my mother and step-father worked hard to achieve, not some dingy apartment with a crazy old lady and her yapping dogs."

Erik returned the smile, and he would've been blushing if it weren't for the fur on his canine face.
Listening to her explanation, Erik wanted to ask about what happened to her parents, but the little voice in his head screamed ~Don't be stupid! She obviously doesn't want to talk about it!~. But, as usual, he paid little attention to it and asked "What happened to them?"

A flah of pain danced in Eri's eyes. The color in the skin seemed to drain a little and he smile cracked away to reveal a frown.
"They died....Burnt up in a house fire. I made it out....Just barely though..."
Her voice was filled with sorrow. Memories of her parents were never to pleasant for her.

Erik was speechless, at a loss for words, basically dumbfounded. He was suddenly so ashamed of himself, he felt like such an a**hole. Ears flattening against his head, he managed to say "I...I'm s-so sorry...". He wanted to say more, much more than just sorry, but he couldn't think of anything else to say. Erik had lost many members of his family throughout his life. Some he loved with all his heart, others he didn't know he had. He had felt the pain of the loss of a loved one, but nothing could compare to pain that Eri had, the pain from losing your parents.
Slumping over, he let out a soft, canine whimper.
