I was listening to the radio today, and Boulevard of Broken Dreams came on, except it sucked. They had fused it with another song, and at the end, they played that Aerosmith song that goes "Sing with me, sing for the year, sing for the _______, sing for the fear". You know, the one in the Eminem song. But anyway, it ******** SUCKED! Everyone's complaining nowadays about how Green Day selling out, sacrificing their music to make money, but I didn't think it was true until now. I mean, I liked American Idiot, and I didn't see it as a sellout, but BOBD was a good song until they redid it with someone else and stuck part of some random Aerosmith song at the end. And guess why they did it. FOR THE MONEY stressed They really let me down on that one. Green Day, you make me sad crying ....

They had no control of that. stare

There was a radio station that mixes songs together. Know your facts before calling Green Day sellouts.

Green Day don't do that, the radio stations do.

Yellie and PD are right. Please, before you start ranting, think about what you are going to say. Check your facts with an online source or two. Don't assume just because you heard a song on the radio.

Yes. neutral Only the radio stations do that. They mixed Green Day up with Wonderwall and Eminem, and so forth...so don't blame Green Day. neutral

Yah, they played that one on this station I listen to and it bugs the crap out of me. I understand it's not Green Day's fault though. After that, they had a bunch of people asking where to buy the song...*shiver* But you can't buy it because it's illegal (thank God).

Your so wrong. They are not sellouts for one, its your stupid radio station. And I see no point in this topic.

Yeah, that might be what my local radio station calls the "Oasis and Green Day Mash" and I really hate it too. They totally mess it up!

Luckily, I've never heard a strange mix of the song.
But on the sell out thing, I think if they were in it for money they would have given up when things were getting tough. I mean, after Dookie they were like BAZILLIONAIRES so they didn't need to make many other albums. They probably would have broken up when things got tough. They wouldn't have tried to work out their problems and record some stuff. And when their album got stolen, do you think that if they were in it for the money they would make an entirely different album instead of just rerecord it? No, they like making music and being happy with what they do. If money (I accidentally wrote monkey but erased it) was their motive, I think the songs would be crappy.

I agree with everyone. While I like the song myself, it was not Green Day who did it. If anything makes them sellouts, it's their view on politics. Their most recent album rivals, and probably even surpasses Dookie in popularity. Alot of people see their political fueled songs as making them just like everyone else as anti-Bush. And if they don't actually believe what they are saying, then they would be sellouts. Anyways I'm kind of ranting here. Your claims are false, and you're just leaving yourself open for attacks, so I'll spare you any further humiliation and lock this thread.
