I wasn't sure if anyone knew or not about the new book she has coming out soon. This new series is set about a hundred years BEFORE Song of the Lioness, and it features Terri Cooper a girl working for the provost. Well it looks to be another awesome book!

There's a thread for this in the Tortall Universe subforum. I believe it's set 200 years before Alanna, and the girl's name is Beka Cooper.

I saw it in the book store the other day. Can't wait until Christmas. Girl's name is beka not terri. Yes she works for the provost. Looks like a pretty sweet book, counting down the days till I get it. Lol I'm, getting it for like 3 of my friends for christmas.

Yep, I realized my mistake right after xd I bought it the day it came out and read it in a day and a half! Its writen like you are reading Beka's journal which is different

I wish I could have read it in a day and a half (classes and mid terms eugh!). I did go through it pretty quickly though, and I looooved it. I can't wait for the next book. There is another one right? I mean, this is a new series and not just a book (it would be odd if it wasn't a series though).

I finished it a couple of days ago. It was pretty good, but I didn't like how she used a diary format. confused But other than that, it was really good.
Does anyone know if there's going to be a sequal?
