I remember when if you just had a sharp, quick, witty and imaginative mind getting into a RP was pretty simple. Basic reading and writing [typing] skills and just knowing how and when to execute your characters actions. Now days, people make RPs too complicated, or too much like D&D.
1st, NOT EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THIS PLANET KNOWS D&D. Because I ******** dont. Never even touched the board game to play it on. So when I see a very good RP usually it has D&D and people actually EXPECT you know this s**t.
Hard to find ******** RP's. scream gonk crying sad emo [all those emotes in that very order.]
Anybody found a good and simple RP without noobs or comlicated dice rules?

Well for me it's that all the Rps in Barton Town are just plain retared.
"We're vampires! Let's run aroundand do stuff with romance! Keep it Pg-13 though! But not really!"
I've made Rp's with dice rolling and such, but the dice rolling was only for attacking. I usually only get one person to join them, but I like it better that way.

LOL Barton Town is full of wierd stuff..... theres about 20,000 Teen Titan, XMEN, Justice League RPs and prolly 40 are actually good, but are pretty inactive

D&D is not just a board game. It's also a video game, a movie, a card game, etc. Yet most of us STILL haven't played any incarnations of the sort >_>

I prefer to play Exalted than D&D, it's more of my type. And I would never RP on Gaia, I prefer to have the others in my face than on the net.

It's also a video game, a movie, a card game, etc. Yet most of us STILL haven't played any incarnations of the sort >_> The sad thing about the D&D cartoon series is that the last episode was never made, so they never get back to the real world. (Or maybe it was done like that on purpose, because once you're hooked on D&D, there's no returning to real life).

I don't really like the RPs on Gaia; lack of originailty
I mean really a RP in Barton Town is usually one of the following.
- Vampire RP
- Guys stuck in a mansion with Girl Vampires/Girls stuck in a mansion with Boy Vampires.
- Some RP that takes place in a forest.
- Some war that takes place between Angels and Demons or something that has something to do with Angels and Demons.
There are expections but thats what I usually see on the first page.
And the only RPs that are annoying to post in are the ones that have thousands of pages. Because if you post they basically are too busy to notice you.

i dont mind some of the unoriginality, I would love to RP in the Marvel Universe or play a role as a Hylian against Ganondorf. But there arent alot of RP that just capture the true essense without overkilling the whole thing. crying
