So are dragons evil and represent the devil? Or are the mythical guardians meant for good? This I want fact. Mythlogical fact, scientific fact, biblical fact, and history fact. If you want to post opinion and or belief go for it but don't get offended if it's blown off or ignored. Because on this I want fact. Anyways go for it and I'll eventually post my views once not at school.

Revelation 12:9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
The bible mentions this in Revelation- there is quite a few verses in Chapter 12,13,16 and 20. This reference to dragon is definitely not positive.

Though in Genesis the devil is in the form of a serpent, but in Isaiah it says there will be snakes on celestrial Earth. So it is really hard to say. I believe they are bad.

Job 40:15-18 (New International Version)
15 "Look at the behemoth, [a] which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. 16 What strength he has in his loins, what power in the muscles of his belly! 17 His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are close-knit. 18 His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like rods of iron.
Job 41 (New International Version)
15 His back has rows of shields tightly sealed together; 16 each is so close to the next that no air can pass between. 17 They are joined fast to one another; they cling together and cannot be parted. 18 His snorting throws out flashes of light; his eyes are like the rays of dawn. 19 Firebrands stream from his mouth; sparks of fire shoot out.

This is just my opinion, so please no one take offence, but I honestly do not see harm in a dragon in general. Yes, it did compare Satan to a dragon in Genesis, and there are numerous references throughout the Bible, but here's a thought:
Satan is most compared to a snake, so are they bad? They are still on this earth, and they are living creatures. So were dragons real, is what this could go to. Are they myth or real? The Bible is vague on the subject, and I am not so sure myself, so when you say, are dragons bad or good, do you refer to the substantial pile of fiction on them in the world and are the authors' conceptions of dragons wrong, or the belief that there really were dragons on the earth at one time.
I am a writer, and I love to write Medieval Fantasy. In one of my stoires, I use dragons as sort of a subplot, if you will. There are some good ones and some bad ones. So no, I do not think they are necessarily bad just because Satan was compared to them. By the way, I read a wonderful Christian fiction series on dragons. The name of it is Dragons in our Midst if anyone is interested. All right, I'm done! whee

Job 41 is about Leviathan. I have always pictured this to be a seadragon type of creature, mostly from the decription in this chapter. I never thought God was talking about Satan. Even though it says "a king over all the children of pride" I figured that meant it was just a proud and mighty animal...like the grizzly bear.
By the way, that bit in revelation could be a metaphor alluding to the form Satan took in the garden of Eden. I doubt that dragon is Satan's true form, unless all angels are dragons, because he was an angel to begin with.

Off-discussion but I think dragons are kinda neat o-o
I don't really know all the facts in the bible that say they're evil, but in fiction I find them entertaining ._.
