i really have no clue what a weabo is, at first glance, I thought Japanophile was spelt pedeofile! But I do lovet he Japanese Pop Culture and History as well. 3nodding

I'm not a big fan of Japanese things, foods and some games are all that interest me from Japan, as a whole I feel that their pop-culture is trash.
That's just me, the fine folks in Skype have been subject to my rambelings.

I am but not at the extreme. In fact, I love cultures around the world including Japan. I don't really like J-rock, the food is good but I don't eat sushis, I love japanese horror movies and sci-fi, I like the lolita fashion but I wouldn't wear it, well maybe punk, gothic, industrial or elegant styles. And I hate pockys. >_> I like the video games too (duh!). I would like to visit it someday but never live there, I love my Montreal. sweatdrop

I do like Japan, yessum. :3
Though, my like of the Culture/History/Traditions/Delicacies came before my love of Anime/Manga/JMusic.

To be honest, the only real reason why most Japanophiles exists (in my opinion) is because it's just something "different". Everyone craves the new and exciting.
But before all this Japan explosion of fans came about, I've been excited about Japan LONG time ago...like when I was 8....9? All I know is I'm a technology nut and I've always wanted to go to Japan because of their technology.
So technically I can say I'm a Japanophile since forever cause indeed I do crave their "different stuff" but I'm really looking forward to experiencing their advanced technology first hand.

I guess I'm somewhat of a japanophile. I do enjoy Japanese mythology, games, movies, and food. However I don't automatically assume everything japanese is great. I enjoy american comics more than Japanese manga, and anime art style is kind of annoying.

I like certain aspects of Japanese history.
I like ninjas.
I hate Japanese food.
I hate Japanese music.
I hate Japanese fashion.

Most of the Jet Set Radio and Jet Set Radio Future soundtrack, and all of the Sonic Rush soundtrack. He's the only game composer I go nuts for.
